i thought so too. the lower angle of the camera makes it worse. its been a week or so and ive gotten used to it but I am thinking about modifying it slightly so that it sits more flush. not sure the best way to do this. i think i could trim the pipe slightly where it mates the muffler to the mid pipe to have the tips sit in more? we shall see lol
@@zaahidrahman when we did mine you can use a rubber mallet to bang on the brace where it holds the Y pipe together and even on the mid pipe with a block of wood over the end of the pipe and itl slide the pipes on a bit farther.
@@exothermal.sprocket DP and cat-back is a lot more volume than stock... I like the sound of the cat back with the stock DP but I want the power so im doing a DP and keeping the exhaust stock.
Yes, definitely. I have a bunch of mods planned for the gti. We’ll be doing some power upgrades in a few weeks :) ultimately this car is going to be built into a great tuner daily driver
Love how it’s not obnoxiously loud. Thanks for the video!!
Thanks for your feedback 🤝
great video man! loved the voice overs that narrated the process
Nice install. They kinda poke out a bit more than I anticipated

Are you asking for a shop? Cuz i have no idea lol

Not a fan? Its not too much louder than stock tbh
@@zaahidrahman I think it sounds great. not obnoxious at all
Hey! what clamps did you wind up getting?
Honestly not sure what the brand was but it seemed like a generic autozone brand.
@@zaahidrahman sweet thank you!

Time for a downpipe. Then you'll have sound.
Too much sound lol
@@Carguylogan It's barely more than stock. I guess other than aesthetics, that's a lot of money to pay for not much.

@@Carguylogan Yeah the power is made by unrestricting the stuff around the turbo area.
Any future plans for the car?

You picked an ideal platform to build as a daily driver.
@@sonny1redvw I 100% agree. my first GTI and it honestly does it all really well.
