I think it’s SO important to listen/watch 2 grown men talk about their mental health!! Especially 2 fathers of boys who will grow up with that safety!! Keep doing what you’re doing! Your voice is so important!

Nick, I wasn't really aware of you until I saw you and Tim becoming friends and just want to say that you have become a real positive addition to the community. Your chemistry with Tim and you both being different yet equally having personality's that bounce off one another is superb. Hugely entertaining. But you being open to talk like this is a big attribute to your character. We all love Tim & Jenn and for the most part we too block out negativity. However, You'll soon see all the good here and ignore the bad. These people are just not worth it. Starting this podcast has been a great idea and I hope it continues to flourish and develop. Hope you have a much better week. You've the best mentor in Tim 🙏🏻

I love the convo at the top of the show. Having watched Tim for years, and hes not one to open up about the hard things (that’s totally fine) even if Jenn is a little bit in the moments. I mention this bc Tim is so engaged in what Nick is saying. He’s listening intently and I can tell he’s supporting Nick without saying much and allowing Nick the space to talk about it. It was cool to see! Thank you to both of you.
I have today off and starting it with your podcast. I love that they’re getting longer!

Very observant comment - and I agree with it. It is nice to see how different people in our lives bring out different aspects of us or reach us in "invisible" ways. We all have different coping mechanisms and this comment has highlighted a great view of how opposites can still be there for each other.

I hate when people go out of their way to make someone feel bad. I was always told growing up, “if you don’t have anything nice to say, say nothing” more people should go by this. Sending love to all that need ❤

THANK YOU for this! I’m a mental health clinician and a writer, and this week I received a nasty comment on my blog - for the FIRST time in 8 years of blogging. I was so taken aback that the hateful words lived rent-free in my head for days (and I almost sent the guy a nasty response.) Then I realized that a person who knows nothing about me but has such a compulsion to take time to spread anger says a lot about what a sad life he has. I pity him and anyone who sends you negative comments too. Thank you guys for highlighting how wrong this online behavior is, and for normalizing men talking about mental health!
Sending love and good vibes 💚

It breaks my heart that you’re receiving and experiencing hurt from negative comments online but I think it’s so great that you’re so open and comfortable talking about your mental health and how it makes you feel! You have such a beautiful aura and personality and I hope you never let them dim your light! Love this podcast and just when you and Tim interact in general, it brings great joy to my life :) thank you for what you do

Thank-you Nick. Thank-you for being vulnerable, and open. I can’t imagine putting my life out there on the internet and being judged on every aspect of you. Hi guys, I'm a mental health counselor and long time viewer of the podcast. (hehe, actually been watching Tim Tracker since 2012). I really really appreciate the normalization of mental health, modeled by two amazing men! Your sons are so lucky to have you!

  • @SoniaDekker
    @SoniaDekker 8 місяців тому +5

I hate how, behind a keyboard, people don’t think of others as human beings. It really is a reflection of them, not you though. It’s just like the fact that two different people can go to see the same exact movie & based on their own state of mind, life experiences and perception, one can hate it and the other person can love it. It broke my heart when I would search Tim Tracker to find the latest video and all these horrible anti-Tracker videos would pop up from these sad jealous people. But it also made me so proud of you guys for your ability to persevere. I think that you are amazing, Tim, and I’m sure you’ll help Nick navigate through this. It’s funny, you guys are soooo different and have had such different life experiences, but at the same time you are both so similar in that you are such GOOD human beings, parents, and spouses and you both have similar values and principles. So I see why you are friends. It’s funny though, how Nick can’t imagine those of us who don’t give a flying F about the Super Bowl, because that’s so prevalent in my circle of friends who are more into non-team sports like mountain biking, whitewater kayaking or whitewater SUPing, snowboarding, etc etc. If we have or go to a superbowl party, it’s just to see friends. I actually liked football a lot in college, but now I could care less about it, so I totally can relate with Tim more but I think that you are GREAT too Nick! Focus on the positive, good comments that outweigh the negative. ❤

Nick-I’m sorry that you’ve had a rough week-I completely get that and I had a rough week too-particularly Valentine’s Day was awful for me-and I stayed off social media that day because I didn’t want to see everyone talking about Valentine’s Day-but when I did open up my Instagram that night-the first thing I saw Was your post that said “You are loved” and that really meant alot to me-it was what I needed to hear that night-so thank you for putting yourself out there 😊

Second: I really really appreciate that you both are willing to talk about your mental health, your negative times with your kids and your feelings in general. people need to remember if they don't like something , they don't have to watch/listen. there are endless choices in this day and age of content to spend your time and energy on. if something bothers you, choose something else. you don't have to take the time and energy to type "i don't like this person, they annoy me". just go. if everyone feels that way and a channel loses all their views, they'll know. you really don't have to say it.

Nick, you are valued and your outlook on life, parenthood, and mental health are so refreshing. Whatever anyone says, just do this for you! Nick - I love how open you are about sharing your feelings on your mental health, and how you move through the new space you're in, in being more present online. I am always appalled by people who sit behind their keyboards and say terrible things for absolutely no reason so, 1) I'm sorry that both you and Tim (and Jenn) have to deal with that nonsense when you're just being yourselves and sharing a glimpse into your lives and 2) I'm so thankful for people like you who use that experience to remind people that it's unkind to say nasty things for no reason. While you're able to move through it and move on, it's still absolutely unnecessary. I also love the friendship you both have. After watching Tim and Jenn for about 11 or so years now, I have always admired Tim's complete support of and love for Jenn and for their family. Even if he doesn't open up as much, his love and support of his family and friends has always been evident, and you can see that in your friendship, as well.
Also - as someone who grew up Catholic (but is non-practicing now), here is the answer to the "Why is Easter when it is" question: As a moveable feast, it's always on the Sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox, and that can fall anywhere between March 22 and April 25.

I have mixed feelings about this situation with the internet trolls. I don’t want you guys to give them ANY of your energy! They are energy vampires. There is no logical explanation for their behavior, besides the fact that they get their jollies from hurting others. And pretty much anyone with any spotlight has them. But the fact you are honest and brave enough to discuss this issue speaks volumes about your character ❤ Please know the logical and intelligent viewers love and appreciate what you two are doing here, not just on this podcast but in your other projects as well🎉 You guys are awesome, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise💖

I enjoy this so much channel and really look forward to it. What a relief to have another public personality normalizing mental health! And we’re learning more and more how much you two are different. Such an odd couple

Nick, I watch you and Tim for exactly who you are. People can be incredibly envious and petty sometimes and it manifests as negative comments in this space. They don’t have to watch if they aren’t a fan. You can tell when someone is being truly genuine in their feedback or just trying to destroy. Keep on being you and don’t read the comments if you need to.

Nick you be you then try to show grace to the haters and receive grace from those who support you. When people say rude things it is amount them not you I feel sorry for them and what ever they are going through. Treat them like they were acting like they should be acting and hopefully they will grow into being a better person. We enjoy both of you and are glad you share.

I’m loving the podcast and love hearing both of your viewpoints and back and forth. Nick I really enjoy your perspective and I’m so sorry people have been mean. I don’t understand people. I was raised if you don’t have anything nice to say then don’t say anything at all like Thumper’s mom. I hope next week is a better week for you❤

I am a couple years older than Tim and back when I was in school we didn't have colored binders for subjects. We just had binders or Trapper keepers that we kept all of our information in.

I'm a couple of years older than Tim too, and I had a trapper keeper with different colored folders for each subject. I assumed that's what Nick meant.

Hey y’all! The test you were talking about is a Tympanometry! It measures the movement in your ear drum! If your kiddo has the flat line on the graph or “flat tymps” it’s because they could have fluid build up or wax!

Sending you good vibes Nick. I went through this with a friend who I podcasted with and had over 1 million followers. It was so tough. You are doing a great job. Thanks for sharing about mental health.

Haven’t gotten through all the video yet but I just wanted to say to Nick, I totally empathize with how you feel about peoples’ judgement of you. I very much relate to your personality type. I care very deeply about people and what they think of me. Now that I’m in my late 30s, in the past few years I really learned that what I think of myself matters more than anyone else’s opinion of me and those who think they have me figured out, don’t. If they knew the real me they would either value what I have to offer or aren’t worth my time. I recently stated a tiktok in hopes of being truly authentic and I feel hesitation about putting myself out there. I think I had more preconceived ideas if you prior to this podcast, but now I see more of who you truly are and I know you’re a very attentive friend and very intentional and I appreciate those qualities cuz I relate. Keep being you, the most important people will see your worth or value and you don’t have to change anything unless it’s something you too don’t like about yourself… keep up the good work

Nick, I want to say how much I appreicate your vunerabilty and honesty. If it was me, I'd delete any nasty comments and block those users. I know some creators respond to them, but that just feeds the trolls. I feel like the platforms(youtube, instagram, etc) should also ban anyone that uses hateful and nasty language.

I grew up being told If you have nothing nice to say, then don’t say anything at all! I know it’s easy for me to say but try to ignore the negativity, life is too short. 😊

Thank you so much for talking about male mental health, for being open about this subject not just as men and adults but as fathers and husbands. This is so important. There’s so much trash on social media geared towards men that is dangerous and detrimental to their lives and the lives of the people who care about them. Any honest, life lived male voices we can get out there is so valuable. (More valuable than Beanie Babies!) Also Nick: take care of yourself, you’ve got a good soul and those need extra care.

I'm a grandma from NC and have loved following Tim/Jenn since 2014. Each time we go to Florida we hope to meet them. Can't believe it has been 10 years and we haven't met them yet. Maybe this year. Also very much enjoying the new addition of Nick and the podcast & will look forward to meeting him as well.

School supplies were always color-coded, and I attempt to do this still for my son. Science- green, Social Studies- blue, ELA-yellow, math-red, home folder always got to be the fun folder. Sometimes teachers would specify on the supply list what color each subject was.
