So true Doug! I love all the vids and watch daily. I'm about 6'2 and have a 22 dk vega with elevenz and cult crew 9.65s for when I ride mellow. For my 21" tt I run a 63mm push stem with 10" intrikat bars and love that setup for street for myself. Tying different stems and bars was a must for me and how I ride. Thanks for all your info and vids man keep up the good work
I pitch my bars back to just a little bit off from straight up and down. I'd say maybe 80° if you were to put a protractor on them from a level horizon. I like to hop and do alot of spin tricks. I find that extra leverage works for me. Everyone is different though.
My thoughts with getting higher bars for taller riders is that you might wanna consider a longer toptube, and i know that's obviously more expensive, but i think you can still keep the geometry pretty similar to what you're used to
Hi Buddy, I ride a WaltX Dune 1 bike. I am 5'9", the flat handlebar is straining my wrist and need to upgrade with a BMX handlebar. Please suggest which one to choose.
Hey Doug really need help ASAP. I work at a bike shop and we are doing a BMX part order in a couple days. I currently got 9.65 bars but I am thinking of getting s&m elevenz. I’m 6’4 and really need something bigger. Should I go for it?
My legs are also kinda long so barspins won’t work. I asked in a previous q&a how I can do barspins without them hitting my knees but I get my bike in the proper position and no matter what I try I can’t get it not to hit. I also tried cutting down my current bars so do you think 11” rise will be fine?
It's true and it's not at the same time. I'm barely 5'7" and ride 9.4s. The bars are closer and I'm more upright but I can't imagine a taller rider would think my bars are low.

When it comes to bar size it's the wild west. Grown men rode 7.5" bars in the 2000s and I've seen 10 year olds with 11s and a giant stack doing 3s.

S&M just made a 12" bar.

Taller bars = smaller cock pit. (Unless you move bars more forward). Change stems or increase Stack washers before buying a taller set of bars?!
That's not true. 😂
why isn't it true?@@x88868
