- In this video, I head out on a paddling adventure from Gibson Lake to the Gibson River. This trip, I decided to access the Gibson River from Gibson Lake, and see if I could make it through to where I had lunch the week before coming in from another access. Check out this beautiful area with me and see what challenges I face and what rewards I receive, on this weeks paddling adventure.

Arms of steel! I liked the adult lunchable. Thank you Camper Christina.
Haha that was the pic from yesterday. You were so close with your lunch comment. Lol. ❤️
Looks like you had a great day!
Thanks Josie. Cheers
You are an impressive paddler. I visited Gibson Lake today and chickened out when I came to the channel that goes under Hwy 400. I never would have thought you would have been able to paddle back against that current. Impressive indeed.
Thank you so much for the kind words. I definitely wouldn’t have been able to do it with a single blade. Thanks for watching. Cheers.
Thanks so much for sharing! I have been curious about this route for some time.
So peaceful looking, awesome smile and a great day for you... cheers
Thanks Jim. Cheers!
awesome paddle!!! thanks Camper C!!!
Thanks Brian J! 😊
A nice day out for sure. i looked on google earth and your swamp adventure looked pretty swampy before it got to 'open' water. and then it got even more swampy...
I went a good ways in, lol. The explorer in me was hoping to find something cool. Lol. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers ! (I added more map shots to this one. )
Nice Buffleheads 😂. At any point did you think the Turkey Vultures were looking at you? 🦅 Great job on the current under Hwy 400! Lunch looked yummy too. Nice day & video, thanks Christina. 🛶
Lol just for a brief minute or two. Lol. Thanks for watching and commenting. Hope you are well. Cheers!
Thanks for taking us along. Beautiful scenery. Always a informative trip also. We’re never to old to learn.😘
Thanks for coming along and commenting. Cheers Trisha. 😘
Great paddling. I been forgetting to mention how much I enjoy your background music.
Thank you so much Doris. Imo it’s the hardest part of making the video. I’m so glad you’re liking it. Cheers
So beautiful ❤️🥰❤️ I can't wait to get out myself
Hope you get out soon. Be safe. Cheers
I live close to a town called “Buzzards Bay”. It is aptly named. You see vultures everywhere. Looks like had a great adventure, thanks for bringing us along. Be well my friend, and stay safe.
Thank you. Sounds cool. Hope you are well. Cheers !
Nice outing.still have 30s and 50s here.crazy spring.
We’re into dark dreary rainy spring now and a bit cool but it’s okay. Everything is turning green. 😊
Check out the Gibson McCrea lake loop some day it's two day 50 km and that part of the Gibson is part of the loop and yes the portage of that set of rapids is on the left
Ps just down stream from the camp site you showed it a easy portage into boot lake
If you had gone all the way to the bay the next portage is on the right to get past three rock falls the another Portage on right at a big class 111 before you get to the bay
Have a day see you on the water some time
Awesome. Thank you. Cheers
At those first little falls, there's a nice portage trail on the south side of the river, about 40m before the falls.
Great little route for a day trip.
Oh crap. I didn’t see it. Thanks for letting me know. Cheers rob !
