Thanks, Cara! As I see you going through old videos, I'm curious to know if you particularly enjoy any of them more then others since I am still fighting to find my own style with filming. All the best and thanks for another kind comment!
Yes! I love just hearing the natural world around you - the fire, the sound of the waterfall, the wind in the conifer needles, the birds, moose grunting - rather than having it covered up or equal in volume to a cinematic soundtrack. It is VERY hard to find UA-cam channels that don't mask the sound YOU hear as the person on the trip with music. It's also nice that it looks like you're heading toward minimal to no talking during the video. It's not that I don't want to hear what you have to say, but I'm coming along for that ride down the river and as much as possible seeing what you see and hearing what you hear. Those of us who understand the beauty of being alone in a place like that or even with someone else very special with you totally get that you have to have the silence to just take it all in and process it in your soul. That's the experience I'm also looking for as a viewer. Then, of course, is your amazing attention to detail and apparently your natural ability to capture well-framed, interesting, gorgeous shots of what you are personally looking at as you film. It really is stellar, Maxim. I'm going to check out another video later today. 🙂🙂🙂 Oh! And you're most welcome for the comments. I know it's useful in terms of engagement from UA-cam's perspective ( although much less than it used to be), and the kudos are well-deserved. It's clear you really enjoy filming, and you have a terrific eye for it. 👍😃
Moon River... There's such a lot of world to see... 🎶 🎶 🏞 Note: For young adventurers, these are lyrics from Henry Mancini's very popular song in early 1960s.
Maxim I love your vieowherre your Your video is so relaxing . After a busy day and accomplishing so little. Your video makes it seem like that’s ok. Stop and look around don’t make it seem that seeing your surroundings is important. Really look and what you may have missed. Thanks Maxim.
This video is great.Looks like labour intensive. Hope you use guitar again. When you incorporate the sounds of nature, your guitar, and the scenery, it’s mentally relaxing. Maybe this can be your trademark in all your future videos. People just like me watch your videos at night, my sleeping aid. Big thanks to you. Just be careful out there.
Hopefully soon you will have more time than an overnighter and you can explore more of the Moon River and take us along. A nice long trip into Massasauga PP would also be great. Thanks for the beautiful trips you are taking us on.
Very nice forest....very lush.... Very cool river...so amazing... This place is perfect for camping... For connoisseurs of the outdoors... this is a must-visit place....
I LOVE Moon River! My family was going there before I was born (1970) and at least once a year until the late 80s. Where it splits, where you turned back around, is where we used to camp, it was like our own personal playground. Sometimes we wouldn't see anyone pass through the whole week we were there! You travel light, I am used to loading up a full canoe, but we'd bring snorkels and flippers, a huge sturdy tarp, back in the day a whole cooler with some dry ice so we could bring back some fish.. I went back in 2017 and again in 2019 with my son. Here is my mostly aerial video, though I think I made it too long. Next time bring a dog! Thanks for the nice video, I never camped where you did.. We called that "The Gorge". How did you come down? Did you canoe down or portage? You're lucky I haven't seen the water levels that high there since I was a child. Probably need to come in earlier in the year! ua-cam.com/video/SMQg8NGvB68/v-deo.html
@@maximbudnick yup - I know the river very well! Coming back after 30 years, I still recognized even the shapes of the rocks at our camping site by the twin falls/twin rapids where you turned around.
Nice work. I just discovered your channel and it looks great. I just started my outdoor channel last year and it's been a lot of fun so far. I am a full time television producer so I can really appreciated your filming. Anyways I just wanted to say, great work and I look forward to more videos.
Hi George! Are you asking for the Moon River specifically? I've always got several routes on my mind, so when I want to go on a trip, I look at the weather, water levels, my schedule, if getting a shuttle is necessary/possible, etc... And decide which route works best along with what I feel like doing.
I was waterboarded, so here I am. Honestly I had a question about what kind of canoe you had. It seemed to handle rapids a lot better than Xander's. Is it skill, equipment or both?
haha all I can say about skill is that I originally taught Xander basic whitewater skills though he is now catching up with me on milage. I have an evergreen starburst which is a whitewater canoe that unfortunately is no longer manufactured. It has way more rocker so turns easier than Xander's Canoe but is much slower on flat water. So yes it definitely helps. Thanks for watching!
Hey maxim, may be a silly question - Im planning a trio to moon river and was curious about the parking along the 400 series if its doable & if theres any areas akong it that arent crownland (CRL says no but its done me dirty in the past) - thanks in advance!
Hey glad to hear you are headed out. I personally have never done it from there but from online forums on myccr ( www.myccr.com/canoeroutes/moon-river-georgian-bay ) it says to start just north of the moon river bridge (45.06437353150814, -79.78630399479009) on the crown land policy atlas it says it is crown land at the parking spot. Also from satellite view and street view you can see a car parked on a small gravel road leading down to the river. The lower moon river is a conservation reserve which is essentially crown land with a few rules attached regarding wildlife and forestry but you can camp no problem. If you do a lot of crown land camping like myself I suggest you download the app ihunter. At around $30 it is expensive but worth it. they keep the app super up to date and allows you to know what is what while showing where you are located. Let me know if that helps.
@@maximbudnick oh wow thanks for the quick reply! I figured it was the easiest way to go about the route (until I saw your video of coming from down river) but good to know that parking is crown, makes that incredibly easy to hop off park out in and get going. Ya I think I need to, heard alot about it but never bit the bullet. Well thanks man this was very helpful, parking was a big issue I wasnt sure how to get around, I see that car now in sat view no idea how i missed it.
Thank you 😉 A few more things 😅😅 1. Starting Fire 2. Last good night from the bed 3. Good morning while you are still in the bed hehehehehehe. (More than one percent of your subscribers are asking for it)

Hey Gord, yes this is the river you speak of. Truly beautiful area 🙂
Great scenery, handsome dude. Thanks from Lake Tahoe, NV
