I love how I prefer watching Dr Mike videos over anything on Netflix, paramount plus, prime, hbo, etc. I was a gym goer for years not making much progress. These videos have given me so much information and inspiration. I’ve made more gains in the past 3 months than I have in the past year

I'm currently putting together my own workout routine and hearing "you do arms on your leg days, that's great" was basically an awakening because of the exact reason they listed, trying to hit all the upper in one day is so much time! Thank god for these two!

From what he said and posted, it looks like it is whatever weight x 10-20 reps. When he hits 20 reps (or high enough reps idk if he has to hit 20) he said he adds reps or sets then I would think he would add weights then go back down from 20-> 10 minimum His program doesn’t seem to have RIR, they are myorep match (each set striving for failure) and failure ones at the end of the day (which are like burn out sets)

If he’s using the hypertrophy app, the target RIR decreases as load increases throughout the cycle. Since this was just one week of a cycle I’m guessing there’s progression pretty close to this.

Same split as I've been running as a main for years, a torso/limbs split rather than an upper/lower split. Would love to see Mike and Will collaborating more, great comedic chemistry!

Recently switched to a similar routine, 3x Upper and 2x Lower+Arms, Mon-Fri, same exercises every day, just to keep things simple, great insights going forward with it! :D
Hey man i am also doing a 3x upper 2x lower but I am training arms on upper because I have worries that the arms dont get enough recovery. You train arms 5x week and they get like 24 hours rest isnt that too little rest? Would love to hear your experience with that.

M+W+F I do 2 worksets DB Bench SS DB rows 3 sets, 3 sets flys, 3 sets pulldowns, 2-3 sets abs just cuz. Then Tu+Th I do 2 worksets deadlift, 3 sets hacksquats, then 2 sets each lat raises, biceps, and triceps, absolutely not much, I think. Legs and back have grown alright, chest and arms lacking, arms and abs I feel are good to go in less than 24h, eveything else 36-48h, that might just be me tho.

Being a long term natural lifter, gains have been slow, I switched to a slightly tweaked version of this routine about two months ago, and now and the gains are happening a bit more. Thank you.
Have done this program now for 3 months and I have mixed reviews. Pros: shoulders and chest have developed more than ever in my 7 years of training. My biceps and triceps are also fuller than they’ve ever been. Back is now wider in comparison to when I started. Not a huge amount but noticeable. Cons: of course my legs suffered. Legs have stayed the sam. The single leg press was painful for me because I’ve never trained it before. I could never go higher in weight. The hack squat, leg extension and leg curls were the only things that I really felt. Smith squat was okay but once again, I’d rather do a hack squat any day. Zero calf exercises. Hardly any upper trap or low back focus at all. Would’ve liked to see some kind of forearm movement as well. I understand this was tailored by Will for Will and his specific muscle groups. I have a small frame and my extremities needed work. Upper body got the work it needed but lower was rough. I do not recommend this workout for my ectomorph brothers and sisters. All in all 6/10 workout God bless you guys and thanks for the years of fitness advice and entertainment Will!

@@edwolf0082 Not really, though i did swap seal rows for machine rows since i don't have a good place to do them and i sometimes but rrarely swap an exercise for something equivalent if it's too crowded, like smith benches for normal benches ( though i have to decrease the weight a bit). Also thinking of maybe replacing leg curls in a day for RDL's but i prefer machine for safety.

- Calves 6x10.. step on plate after squats and do 10 calf raises
-forearms 5x10 raise and pull on each side. (While resting between sets of doing squats)
-shoulders Delt raises 5x10 superset with straight bar Delt raises 5x10
Friday- arms / chest / back
-pull ups 7x3
-Dips 5x10
-tricep cable push downs, dumbbell skullcrushers drop sets
-incline bicep curls with dumbbells 5x6-8 (Heavy again) super set with hammer curls 5x10
Saturday - legs / forms
- 5x10 stiff leg deadlifts
- forearm curls each side 5x10
-calve raises 5x10

Hey man, been following this series for a bit, and thank you for educating us all on this rare lobster. Sorry it didn't work out the way we all hoped, but I'm glad you kept us up to date.
Being a long term natural lifter, gains have been slow, I switched to a slightly tweaked version of this routine about two months ago, and now and the gains are happening a bit more. Thank you.
My split is pretty close to Mr Will Tennyson's. I feel validated and my ego has soared.

Have done this program now for 3 months and I have mixed reviews.
Pros: shoulders and chest have developed more than ever in my 7 years of training. My biceps and triceps are also fuller than they’ve ever been. Back is now wider in comparison to when I started. Not a huge amount but noticeable.
Cons: of course my legs suffered. Legs have stayed the sam. The single leg press was painful for me because I’ve never trained it before. I could never go higher in weight. The hack squat, leg extension and leg curls were the only things that I really felt. Smith squat was okay but once again, I’d rather do a hack squat any day. Zero calf exercises. Hardly any upper trap or low back focus at all. Would’ve liked to see some kind of forearm movement as well.
I understand this was tailored by Will for Will and his specific muscle groups. I have a small frame and my extremities needed work. Upper body got the work it needed but lower was rough. I do not recommend this workout for my ectomorph brothers and sisters.
All in all 6/10 workout

Stole and did this program for 8 or 9 weeks now and it's amazing, best one i tried so far and love that it leaves my saturdays and sundays free

Do you change the program over the weeks or exercise ?
@@edwolf0082 Not really, though i did swap seal rows for machine rows since i don't have a good place to do them and i sometimes but rrarely swap an exercise for something equivalent if it's too crowded, like smith benches for normal benches ( though i have to decrease the weight a bit). Also thinking of maybe replacing leg curls in a day for RDL's but i prefer machine for safety.
