I have never watched a single Star Trek episode and I loved this movie completely... Some say it's hard for the non-initiates, but I disagree. It is a masterpiece of sci-fi.
In the same way - for those whove never seen Trek, but love political thrillers, I suggest The Undiscovered Country - aka Star Trek VI. Classic thriller of a whodunnit and cold war like politics.
I always loved it because it made me feel like no matter how dark things may get, there's always hope that we can rise from those ashes and reach for the stars
The section of this score that comes after the usual star trek theme into the section that is Unique to First Contact is one of the most beautiful orchestrations I have ever heard
Standard day in the office for Goldsmith. He would write 4/5 themes almost as beautiful and engaging as this every year. But yes, First Contact is one of my favourites of his (out of literally the 100s that he's done, which are all incredible in their own right!)
Me too… i always remember when i watched it with my Ex GF and it was the most beautiful time I had so far… I love this film and the Music too… it’s by far the best Star Trek movie ever…
Zefrem Cochran is a grand-nephew of Elon Musk. That's how he recovered the starship nacelles design when it was stolen from SpaceX in 2042. Can't say I care for his tailor. His costume looks like vintage 1966 TREK TV wardrobe.

It is a great film but even better if you are a trek fan. But omg anybody can appreciate this music.

R.I.P. Christopher Plummer (Canadian).
Killer Soundtrack.
GOAT of all TNG flicks and my 3rd favorit3 Tr3k flick.

Jerry Goldsmith and his Son were two musical maestros
On the big screen, with theatre sound, it was absolutely majestic.

The intro or first score of this suite, is one of the most divine pieces of Trek music ever composed - cant choose between this or inner light...
This music makes me emotional without fail. God I love Star Trek
My favorite is 'First Contact' track 28 maybe.. its perfect
I've seen this film and heard this music countless times and I'm still welling up.
Alice Krieg👧🏼 put on the Borg costume for the first time...and was met with stunned 😳 silence by the studio's executives
She was too sexy for them. I've met her twice and she's a lovely person, had great time talking to her.
16:31 The moment Zefram Cochrane steps forward.
Love this film and soundtrack!
Just gutted Picard never gave Lily a real copy of Moby Dick before they all left... 🖖🖖🖖
TYTYTYTYTYTTTYTYTY I LOVE THIS SOUNDTRACK TYTYTYTYTYTYTY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

French and English horns set the tone to any soundtrack. Magestic aren't they?
I wish the Enterprise E would have come back just like the D.
ENGAGE!
Perhaps today is a good day to die!!!

Unbeatable! When it starts to kick in again.
