A suite of many of the best moments from Alexandre Desplat's masterpiece score from 2017's Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. This was among the best scores of 2017, Desplat pulling out all stops to write one raucous, creative, thrilling hybrid score. The film, while less than stellar, had such dazzling visuals and a mile-a-minute plot (typical of director Luc Besson) and Desplat wrote music that not only kept up with the frantic pace, but frequently elevated the film.
