@@user-nz8xj9be8y I totally disagree. But I like Next Gen a lot too. It comes down to personal preference. DS9 got really fucking dark towards the end. Next Gen always had an undercurrent of hopefulness. DS9 will always be my all-time favourite Trek. But I don't know if I can watch it casually... a lot of the episodes are really heavy. Next Gen on the other hand is like a really tasty healthy snack: you can watch whenever.
This orchestration of Jerry Goldsmith's MAIN theme [esp the opening score for the TV series ST:TNG] is heart-stirring with its transitory modulations, pedal-point bass, and 1st-inversion chords [ aka, 6-3 chords]! WISH I had written it!!!!! JG knows his Music Theory ... knows what chord progressions grip people's emotions.
This is great. The main theme is slightly bulked up for the films, each in their own different ways. It's such a majestic sounding theme too. Thanks for putting this together.
Okay, you're crazy. :P I think Genrations is okay up till it gets to Kirk then goes downhill fast. There's a fanedit called Kirkless Generations that fits much better as a pure TNG story.
This is very nicely done. There was an ST:E open with the Generations theme that I liked a lot, since taken down. I think a creditable argument can be made that Generations was the best piece of ST orchestral music, with TNG (with the Insurrection ending) a close second.
It's sad really. Out of all the Star Trek movies involving the Next Generation crew they only had ONE good movie. Though they did sorta make up for it by having a good TV series. I may be at my core a Star Wars fan but Star Trek: TNG holds an equally special place in my heart as well :)
Honestly, Star Trek always shined on the small screen rather than the big screen... On the other hand Star Wars shines on the big screen rather than the small screen.
The theme music in ‘Generations’ should’ve been used as a theme music for another series. But please for something uplifting and positive not some sick emotionally under developped and whiny human beings à la Discovery. Who knew the Federation code of conduct approved crying and whining in front of your crew and superior officers.
Not gonna lie... I remember, exiting the theater after Star Trek: Nemesis, my twelve-year-old self felt unbelievable sadness when I heard the familiar notes of the TMP/TNG theme. It was as if a huge part of my childhood had just ended. But this song still gives me hope for the future.
Patrick Stewart is the best captain. Kirk is a buffoon. Janaway tries too hard. And Sisko is just a drill sergeant without any diplomatic skill whatsoever.
Kirk(Did whatever he could to get the mission done, was happier as a Captain than an Admiral and gave sound advice in his old age to Picard to never give up the bridge of a starship. He also sacrificed his life in the Nexus while alongside Picard)(He has his own class of starship) Janeway(Helped her Crew through the Delta Quadrant without any contact to their loved ones and starfleet, she worked too hard yes but she wanted to get them home safely even if there were obstacles in the way. She became an Admiral in Picard’s time aboard the Enterprise E and is now the base for the Emergency Command Hologram.)(Thanks to her Voyager has a new variant “J” for Janeway) Sisko(I have no comments I never liked him) But there was also Archer(NX Enterprise) Pike(NCC-1701 Enterprise before Kirk) Spock(Who served as Captain for awhile)(Enterprise A) Sulu(Excelsior) Riker(Enterprise D before it was destroyed) Data(For a very short period of time) Geordi(After his time in Picard’s crew) Etc Picard is an amazing Captain but even he admits there are several Captain’s that are on par with him. Example Janeway was the only Captain to actually control Q and have his utmost respect. Sisko punched Q And Picard got slapped by Q. I may by five years too late but I just wished to put my input on the matter.
First contact theme always leaves me with goose bumps
Was and still is the best Sci-Fi TV series ever made.
Three words for you: Deep Space Nine.
Caroline E. Abraham The Next Generation is better than Deep Space. Still , Nine is amazing.

Just one word: *Stargate*
I agree!!
I often forget just how awesome this music really is.
+Ryan Mitton I heard many of the themes on a pinball machine that was made by Williams which was based on STNNG :) The music is sooo amazing :)
Es kann nur eine geben...❤❤❤
I'll always get chills and cry joyfully when I hear this song. I would watch TNG as a toddler with awe.
The First Contact Theme is a tear-jerker.
Wonderful soundtrack ever made

That is true, no wonder why it's so addicting for me

Thanks for putting this together.
I want to live in the 24th Century! : )
Who wouldn't?
I want to be with Data!
***** Affirmative!
Maltebyte2 dont you mean indeed
That future won't happen by itself, you can help making it happen!
myroomisblue2 i was expressing my agreement so in this case i did mean Affirmative :)
The Generations one gets me every time. Call me crazy, but I loved that movie :)
Okay, you're crazy. :P

Thank you so much for this magnificent video mix.
I love this because of how they do the transition for all of them.
das ist echt gut gemacht! Ich liebe st tng und diese Melodien entspannen mich total

Correction: "the First Contact ending"
Perfect for your early morning Captains log.

Love this :)

bandora Killing data off, I'm still mad about that....
**Walks away** never happened, mother grumble grumble....
Webshooters1 TBH ST:G ST: FC and ST: N are actually good movies in my opinon.
Jared Philbrick
pssssh...maybe FC...that shit still got boring after watching it 40 times....under 40 & a movie is considered shit in my opinion.
***** I dont see how that would make sense First Contact is actually really good trust me go re watch it.
this is amaing hey greenDay do you miss the good old days when jhon luk picard was the captain
Generations was sorely lacking the Jerry Goldsmith theme
Definitely the best Star Trek music we have imo. I just don't get the intro music for DS9, it makes no sense to me. This is much better
Where no one has gone before….
Startrek is gonna become real soon...❤🎉

STOP TALKING ABOUT FILMS
THE REAL STAR TREK IS THE TV SERIES
The theme music in ‘Generations’ should’ve been used as a theme music for another series. But please for something uplifting and positive not some sick emotionally under developped and whiny human beings à la Discovery. Who knew the Federation code of conduct approved crying and whining in front of your crew and superior officers.

Patrick Stewart is the best captain.
Kirk is a buffoon. Janaway tries too hard. And Sisko is just a drill sergeant without any diplomatic skill whatsoever.
Captain Picard has always been my favorite. He aspires to always better himself guided by his moral compass.
Kirk(Did whatever he could to get the mission done, was happier as a Captain than an Admiral and gave sound advice in his old age to Picard to never give up the bridge of a starship. He also sacrificed his life in the Nexus while alongside Picard)(He has his own class of starship)

She became an Admiral in Picard’s time aboard the Enterprise E and is now the base for the Emergency Command Hologram.)(Thanks to her Voyager has a new variant “J” for Janeway)
Sisko(I have no comments I never liked him)
But there was also
Archer(NX Enterprise)
Pike(NCC-1701 Enterprise before Kirk)
Spock(Who served as Captain for awhile)(Enterprise A)
Sulu(Excelsior)
Riker(Enterprise D before it was destroyed)
Data(For a very short period of time)
Geordi(After his time in Picard’s crew)
Etc
Picard is an amazing Captain but even he admits there are several Captain’s that are on par with him.
Example Janeway was the only Captain to actually control Q and have his utmost respect.
Sisko punched Q
And Picard got slapped by Q.

first contact = great
insurrection = okay
nemesis = bad
naff said ....
And where will you place Generations?
Never happened.
I actually liked Nemesis, but maybe that's just me.
Pretty much, though I'd place insurrection ahead of generations. Too bad we really didn't get a good Dominion plot though in insurrection
@@Tenkuuken tiny little lifeforms
Nemesis is a bloody awful film, but that use of "Blue Skies" always catches me out.
