I remember when ST:TNG first came out in '87. Most ST fans dismissed him as a an arrogant, snooty English pushover that would rather talk than put up a real fight like Kirk would. Now Jean-Luc is considered probably the most competent and respected Cap'n in the ST mythos. Picard was relentless and unforgiving when provoked. Shatner's Kirk is still my fav, but Picard is realistically the better commander of the two.
5:50 - "Lily, when I was held captive on the Borg ship, my crew risked everything to save me. There is...someone still on this ship and I owe him the same." Coming after the earlier "the line must be drawn HEAH," this just warms my heart. Especially with that music.
"And he piled upon the whale's white hump the sum of all the rage and hate felt by his whole race. Had his chest be a cannon, he would have shot his heart upon it."
Jean Luc at his best and most fearsome. That's why the Klingons always feared him. Not because he became arbitrator of the change but he was a warrior cloaked as a diplomat. Also he the command of the Federation flagship helped :-)
they all had their problems, but My favourite was FC. And the Enterprise never before nor ever after was as beautiful ... If only I had a fairy to grant me three wishes :)
You know, as I listen to this I can't help but wonder if War of the Worlds had some inspiration for this soundtrack. The sounds during the Borg music remind me of the 'unscrewing of the cylinder'. Maybe I'm over-thinking it; maybe I watch and listen to too much sci-fi (not a bad thing though lol) but either way, this is some truly brilliant music
True on the "he had no knowledge of the franchise" and also true that is Frakes directed it it may have been better. but Baird has directed a couple films before Nemesis - Executive Decision and US Marshals.
No, the last song which is played near the end of the film is not on any of the soundtracks and has overlapping sound effects so he couldn't have ripped it.. He must've got them from somewhere.
Yes they are SO much better and way much more Starfleet like. The ones in the remake is just too different.. they will never replace the tv actors at all.
The complete score is being released soon on Amazon BUT nowhere on it are these songs on it. So where did you get them? I noticed someone else asked the same question so will you post a response as to where these songs can be found?
Can you please tell me where I can find a video, download, or purchase of that "Enterprise E" track at the beginning. The best part of the movie's music is no where to be found! THE LINE MUST BE DRAWN HERE!
@spoonmonkey14 Have to disagree here. Never cared for any of the TNG era movies and I actually liked the prequel. At least the time travel storyline was handles better.
That rising tempo from 9:40 onwards has such a nautical feel that you could imagine it easily applied to score a chase on the ocean.
R.I.P. Jerry and Joel !
What a marvelous soundtracks, Jerry Goldsmith is pure genius.
The Star Trek franchise will never have a better composer than Goldsmith.
@Stimulator7 Giacchino is pretty incredible, imo. I'm looking forward to more of his work.

I've never understood why they release so little of most movie scores. Thanks for uploading this. Amazing work by the Goldsmith's.

One of the most beautiful hymns of Mankind.
This is my favorite of all the Star Trek movies.
Generations: Kind of stupid, but awesome
First Contact: Epic Picard
Insurrection: Cool special effects, I guess
Nemesis: Surprisingly not the worst
A masterpiece this is awesome
What a amazing soundtrack
(addition) I remember when I first saw FC, and they programmed the self-destruct-sequence, I literally had my jaw dropping in terror.
You broke your little ships.
See you around, Ahab.
"And he piled upon the whale's white hump the sum of all the rage and hate felt by his whole race. Had his chest be a cannon, he would have shot his heart upon it."
GRACIAS
Absolutly awesome
i love this soundtrack

I loved Insurrection. Also considering it was a follow up to this!

Captain, how do you know the Borg are still down there?
I can hear their theme.
Agreed, I was quite surprised when I watched it.
And I... WILL MAKE THEM PAY FOR WHAT THEY'VE DONE!

The actors of TNG are much better than the clowns in the two new movies.
DS9 was good too though :3

I liked it when Sheldon wanted the real Spock and got the new one instead!
Actors are capable. They will give what they are asked to give.
Let's not blame actors for the director's (and other people's) stupid choices

Where did you find this?? Do you have these tracks that arent included in the album? Or where could I find it? It would mean alot! :-)
1 dislike, he will make an excellent drone.
could this be his own edited 'mashup' of the soundtrack's individual tracks?
Can you please tell me where I can find a video, download, or purchase of that "Enterprise E" track at the beginning. The best part of the movie's music is no where to be found! THE LINE MUST BE DRAWN HERE!
how is the music at 13:40 called
M 2002 Victory over the Borg
Yea this is the part after she is melted with the coolent and he breaks the queens neck

What's more polluting, Cochrane's flight slightly early? Or complete, global, Borgification?
No opening credits?

No. The line must be drawn HYYYYYYYYYA! THIS FAAAAAAAAA, NO FUTHO!
Oh god the excessive use of lens flares.
Star Trek into darkness: isn't out yet, but it already has the JJ curse, so it sucks.

You can't really say it sucks just because it has the "JJ Curse".
