I do miss your old channel Frank, and while I do think you would have grown even larger if you stayed with UA-cam. Your current insight and life lessons just wouldn’t have been the same.
I love this current version of Frank. While you still have your sense of humor, I see we’re much more mature. What I think is we wouldn’t be getting these types of videos like this one, if your channel blew up.

I really agree with this, but I wasn't really watching any people on UA-cam during that time (not many UA-cam personalities or vloggers I cared much about, I just wanted anime, looool) so I can't say I remember him, unfortunately. I think 100% what you said is true, but also that a lot of UA-camrs really have fame go to their head, but in other ways, while he may have gotten more wealthy, it would actually have made his materialism problems sort of worse. Like Ricegum with the $1500 sneaker videos, for example. A lot of UA-cam now is really just flexing money to "influence" for seemingly no rational reason. It's not even about something you enjoy and have as a hobby like his Supra, where it's not rational but it's at least understandable. I think a lot of the young people with supercar videos are like this, just treating life like a rap video.
So in some sense perhaps he would have gained the world but lost his soul if he continued on, imo. That said, I do wish him all the UA-cam $$$ more than ever now.

I’m 17 and bought a project car, but life couldn’t be more difficult. Grades, relationships, disconnect from God. I know now more than ever that that car will not satisfy me and my life if I don’t pay more attention to everything else first. I have much love and respect for you. Your channel went from a recommended binge to a weekly subscriber reminder of how good life can really be.

From a brother to another brother, engineer to engineer, a land, far far away - in Melbourne, Australia. I just want to say, thank you for coming back and making videos. I still recall subscribing and following you from the early days of UA-cam. Then, there was a period of time where you decided to stop making videos. I never thought there would be a today like today, where I would see you back making videos - keep the good work up! You are one of the originals, and your videos are still very original. Feels like there wasn't any absent period.
There's something nostalgic yet very refreshing every time I watch your videos. And I totally relate to your videos in terms of appreciation and kindness. All the best, and I hope some day, we can bump into each other and have coffee if I am every around in the states. This is actually my very first post on any UA-cam channel since the early days lol. Hi Frank, been a longtime lurking subscriber to your videos way back over 10 years ago but have never commented. Really love the direction of your videos sharing all your flaws and life advice. Similar a bunch of your audience I'm now graduated working fulltime and feel that life has so many regrets. My grandma has been developing dementia as well and your videos are pushing me to help the family with more and see all moments as precious. I've also been told by an elder -"do you really think your human mistakes/regrets can ruin God's plan?". And how good it is to know that we can learn from what we think we've done wrong, move forward, enjoy what God's given us now, all while knowing He's still sovereign. Keep up the vids Frank -we're seeing the Spirit in you changing lives.

I'm a freshman in college now, but I've been watching your videos since middle school (when I probably shouldn't have been, oops!). I remember sitting with my older brother whenever he found a new video, either freshly uploaded or an old gem, and laughing at your jokes while most of the life lessons went right over my head. It's a shame that I didn't understand back then, but that's why I'm so thankful that you've been uploading more videos recently. At this point in my life, your wisdom and life experiences have really gotten me to think about my future, especially since I'm learning to be more independent and responsible on my own. And even though I've just left the nest, your videos help me reevaluate the relationship I have with my parents. I hold a lot of resentment towards them, but listening to you has put me on the path towards cherishing the time I have left with them as I move forward. Thank you for sharing your resilience and positivity with random strangers on the Internet; it means so much more than you know. I look forward to continuing to grow with and learn from you!

Thanks for this frank. I took my medical boards recently and after receiving a lackluster score, I felt deep regret for losing steam and feeling hopeless the few weeks leading up to the exam. It makes me think that maybe I could have studied harder. Smarter. I could have been emotionally stronger. It’s sometimes hard to control ones circumstances and how to feel towards those circumstances but i kept thinking all those “what if’s,” especially when all your friends whiz by and make it all look easy. But hearing you say your piece at the very end really rang true with me and it’s helping me understand that there is no point in regretting what is spilled milk, and that there is still much that can be done so long as we readjust and maintain a correct mindset. I found that happiness is not necessarily dependent on the successes you have in life but on your mindset, your tenacity to get back up from setbacks/failure, and your ability to be happy with what God gifts you. Because honestly, he has something so much greater in store for all of us that would make all the times you had to dust yourself off from falling all the more meaningful.

    Hey Frank,
I just found out about your channel by the last video you made about your relationship with your parents and these financial mistakes that you did when you were younger. When looking at it, it reminded me a lot of my own brother and his mistakes that he was able to use as lessons later in his life, that would make me the person that he is today. To me, he's really responsible and mature from what he's been through and has passed through those lessons that he learned back to me, someone a decade younger than him.
After finishing that video, I thought about how sincere you are when making these videos and how good you are at storytelling from start to finish when being able to reflect back on your mistakes, but those mistakes also shaping who you are today.
I think that nowadays, it's hard to find a proper role model online as everyone is trying to get famous or make it seem like they have a "perfect" life, but coming across these videos, it's humanizing to see someone who isn't perfect, but is able to come up from those regrets/mistakes and become a better person.
I'm looking forward to seeing more of your videos and seeing that unique sense of incorporating those early 00's films/videos into a more modern one in your channel.
    Sincerely,
    Connie

Hey Frank, I have really been liking your new videos. You were actually the first fitness youtuber I ever followed when I was like 15. Me and my buddy used to workout then watch your videos and try to implement any tips or advice you had. Crazy how even now I just graduated and started working a real job your videos continue to provide some real insight.
I really appreciate how open you've been in these videos, but gotta say you're still living the dream in my eyes, got a great job, loving wife and jacked af! Thanks for all the insight, and can't wait for the next video!

Learning to move on from the past and appreciating what it has taught me instead was a lesson that changed my entire perspective on life. It's such an important realization. I used to hold a lot of resentment for people in my past and the effects they had on me, but one day, a friend who experienced something similar said something along the lines of "It sucks that those things happened, but it made me who I am today. I like the person I have become so far, so I don't hold any resentment for the past anymore." Hearing that changed my life. This video was a great reminder of that lesson.
Been watching you for years, Frank, and it's so wonderful to see the growth and lessons you are sharing with us. Always grateful to have you back on UA-cam.
Edit: I would looove seeing some reuploads of old videos!!

I actually needed to hear this. Crashed mine/my dads NB Miata a few months ago, and while I’ve slowly been trying to rebuild it...it’s hard knowing I was the one who messed up his perfectly good stock beautiful car. I think I started going down the wrong path with it too - way too low for the sake of looks, an unreliable turbo and questionable work done to it. But now, I think taking a step back and focusing will help me get it back to an even better place - and yes the past hurts, but not as much as never moving forward. Hope you’re doing well man, thanks again! I remember those old UA-cam days haha

I just crashed it 4 days ago and its a big lesson learned. Thank you for being there to remind me that I am not alone with my situation. Now, instead of going out and buying another 20k car with the insurance money, I'll just get a cheap 5k Mazda3 and pocket the rest of the money for college. Thank you again

Hi Frank. As someone in my mid 20s right now, I really want to thank you for sharing your life experiences and your reflection on those moments.
I started watching you when I was in my teens and I found your videos really funny and that is what hooked me in back then...
But now I think your videos have really matured and have exponentially increased in value to the viewers such as myself.
Videos like these where you show a very vulnerable side of yourself is something I absolutely respect. It is a refreshing perspective from today's typical "Instagram Best Life" photo / videos.
If your goal is to expand your UA-cam Channel, please do not hesitate as your voice will be heard. Your content is too rich to not blow up one day in the near future.
See you on the Trending page soon my friend because no doubt, you make amazing content.

I recently got t-boned and totaled my 2013 Impreza. It was my first new car, but I actually had a used Maxima as a gift from my friend. When I totaled his car, it hurt me a lot more emotionally than this most recent accident. I guess I'm thankful I'm alive still. I got the full blue book value from insurance already since it wasn't my fault, but my parents also wrote me a big check since insurance doesn't cover the cost for a new vehicle from the depreciated one.
Just sharing some of my car history and reflecting too. Keep your head up, Frank. We'll be watching when you post a new video whenever you do.

l think this channel is what l needed right now. l just started getting my life together after 4 years of just constantly blaming and judging myself for not being a "better" person in the sense that l feel like everyone l know is moving forward while l am still stuck in the same place. l stopped being too harsh on myself, l learned to accept myself n now l am aiming to move forward at my own pace.
This channel is heartwarming, it brings me back to the reality n somehow makes me feel more attached to the people l love .Anyways keep it up man!

I would also say that there's just not enough time to do everything you want, so you just have to prioritize. My car/motorcycle hobbies are off to the side now that I have a family. My two boys (like you and your bro!) take up most of my waking hours outside of work. I actually have to stop working early to take care of my boys and then try to make up the hours later at night after they've gone to bed. All about priorities. Hope to get back to my cars at least when my boys are a little older.
