    Good review, I had one of those, but then Harvey came and was underwater for a while smh. Oh yea, was I the only one who saw him put the dip stick on the floor and put it back in with out cleaning it and cringed lol. My dad would always tell me to make sure the dip stick is always clean so it won't damage the engine with any sand or any particles.

    I take care of my machines.. Ive seen people not caring for their lawn tools.. I believe that having clean tools will last a while and says who you are.

    I highly recommend these mowers! I got one last year for my small business it's still running great! Except for a plastic piece underneath the mower lost a bolt now grass is coming out the backside the Honda motor is the best! Be sure to blow out the underneath Everytime u mow I've mowed at least 150 yards probably more!

    I have a Honda Harmony that I bought new about 30 years ago. change the oil at least once every cutting season and it still works like a champ. The "composite"(??) deck has started to crack by the front wheels - I improvised a metal L-bracket with nuts/bolts to hold the wheels on - still works like a champ. Just need some new wheels, they are pretty much reamed out. Only complaint I have ever had with this mower is it's light on horsepower. I think it's a 4.5 horse and it will bog down in really thick grass.

      if you are trying to cut super thick grass i have a few possible suggestions, take a half a swath as opposed to a full swath cut, make sure you have new blades that are super sharp, use mobil 1 syn oil 10w-30, and use pure gas (non-ethanol fuel) (www.pure-gas.org/.) non-ethanol fuel will provide maybe 5-10% higher BTU's which will allow engine to run stronger, and also use a BPR4ES hope this helps you. these ohv honda engines are workhorses they can last 30 years or mor if they are treated with tlc.

      @@ChrisUrsiny That's exactly what I do - half pass on the lawn and it's fine. I've sharpened my own blades since new and that seems to work too(with the very impromptu hang the blade on a nail on in a 2x4 to check for balance after a few passes with the file). I haven't used the mobil 1 oil in the mower(only in my Road King) - you think it will be OK to switch even in a nearly 30 year old engine? Also, never used the pure gas, back when I bought this mower, there was no need to worry about that, maybe I'll give it a try. I have an Echo backpack blower that uses mixed gas/oil - can I use the same gas in that unit also? I finally gave up on the gas trimmers after going through to many of them and am trying the Dewalt electric........... So far it's a beast and cuts as well or better than any gas powered edger I've owned. Good channel and info - and thanks for the tips.

    Good review and good looking mower in it's time of review. I just purchased a used one in same condition. Really good clean grass cuts. Some simple green spray on the bottom will leave it really clean.

    This thing is a great mower! The AWD is absolutely amazing. I run this mower often for our small business, and it has never let me down.

    just a quick note about these machines, the lc221 is like the budget level and you really want to get either the three something number series or the seven or the 800 for a good reason. The wheel casters are actually feel better and the wheels themselves actually come with roller ball bearings this actually helps a whole bunch because after just one season of using your mower you'll realize you'll start eating gears in a lot of other things..
    I love the way the mowers look but man they are like the BMW of mowers and need so much maintenance to keep going

      This is a good mower.. I have the same that I use in our warehouse lawn... I don't use use for the tall grass we get by the property fence not design for that but for regular residential lawns is really good. I like the design of the deck.. it helps in good suction when grass is dry and leaves a really good clean cut.. Honda engine is a plus...

    Bought this model last year, AWD is already giving me problems. It engages but has become relatively weak and fails to go up any incline. Hopefully it’s an easy fix.

    I am reviewing this mower, because I have a very hilly property. I live in the Northwest. Basically between late March and late May, our grass is very thick and wet. Basically through April and early May you need to mow twice a week, would you recommend this mower for my environment? I fear that the thick wet grass would be too much for the exposed pulley system. I have a basic Honda rear wheel self-propelled mower. The motor on it is stellar, the drive keeps going out. For my Hilly property I just want something that pushes or pulls a little better in my advancing years🤠

      I bought this machine in May 2016 and I have a 3/4 acre property I mow once per week for 2-3 hours. The property has incline and a big hill and this mower has never let me down. I changed the oil every season and the air filter once. Believe it or not I’m changing the blade for the first time tomorrow along with the spark plug for the first time and I don’t even think it needs a new plug! I make sure to tip it over and remove grass stuck underneath after every mow. I see a lot of complaints on this mower but it has caused me no issues. I think some people perhaps set it to low or something or don’t take care of it or are hard on the machine. Another guy on another video reported buying the same one in 2015 and he said he uses it similar to me with not a single problem. And I have mowed damp grass frequently and even in the rain (after it started raining) and it worked perfect. The secret with wet mowing is to use the mulching attachment that allows you to open the side door so that wet grass has an exit point from beneath the mower.

      I have this model and if you unscrew the plastic cover you can see the operation of both levers. One side of mine had proke inside when i forced it trying to depress it. but the replacement and was good to go. I prefer the one bar lever in his video which you can slowly depress and use the all awd system to your walking.

    • @breakheartorchard4761
      @breakheartorchard4761 4 роки тому

      The spring probably is to keep the transmission out of engagement when you are not pulling the cable handle. Look at about 18:50 of this repair video for installation instructions.

    • @ChrisUrsiny
      @ChrisUrsiny  4 роки тому +1

      hello sir, if your mower will not stay running you "may" have 1 of 3 problems or a combination of these 3 problems, you need: 1. a timed ignition spark, 2 you need good compression, and 3 you need a proper fuel mix. if 1 or more of these parameters is not within oem spec. something is wrong.

    • @tjgotone8647

      Garden hose hook up on alot of these to allow water to run under deck and clean debris from underside. Make sure it's dry before you store away for next mowing or the moisture will definitely play havoc in time. I like to use either a blower or air gun after I use water anywhere on it. Hope this helps

    ATG says don't buy this or many models that bottom are open. But many think Husqvarna is good. This sucks.
    If one designed a mower to cut when grass is dry won't get repeat buyers.
    But if you want to pay $400.00 and then clean belt jumping of track because the grass caked all over the places.
    If parts needed to be replaced within 3.7 years are because companies have scammed owners by using cheap plastic pulleys.
    Unfortunately, since you now have it, do you really want to keep buying parts just to get it running for less than three months?

    • @ChrisUrsiny
      @ChrisUrsiny  4 роки тому +1

      i personally dont like these new gen of husq. machines because they appear to be cheaply made, have 2 trans. to fail, and a open deck drive system that can and does clog extremely easily.
