From its story to its side missions to its random encounters and beyond, Red Dead Redemption 2 truly has no shortage of interesting content-and, behind it all, some interesting historical references. And, as far as random encounters are concerned, we’re almost done-at least for now-with a few more locations to visit, and a few more characters left to meet.
#rdr2 #history #rockstargames
What game should I look into next? 👀
The first Call Of Duty Black Ops
Rdr1
It could be interesting since Black Ops deals with more recent history and conspiracy
Assassin's creed might be good but it's probably way less accurate than rdr2
RED DEAD REDEMPTION 1 I BEGETH!
I just wish they had done more with New Austin in story mode. It feels so empty with absolutely nothing to do besides hunt, collect a handful of bounties, and get a couple of dinosaur bone fossils.
Sadly they just didn't have the dev time. Data mining has shown that Nuevo Paraíso was meant to be included too.
I'm one of the few people that disagrees- Having somewhere where there's not a lot going on felt really relaxing, nothing but time. Compare that to the rest of NH where an event happens every few minutes, it's shocking.
I agree. Ambarino was perhaps the most under-utilized state in Read Dead. With hardly anything interesting out there or things to do aside from hunt and enjoy the scenery.
@@darnpotato I can see that, but at the same time, if Armadillo was a functioning town rather than a cholera stricken hellhole and there was more to do in Tumbleweed than see a couple Sheriff meltdowns, I would have spent more time there than any other part of RDR2
Think its a surprise it exists it all considering the insane amount of stuff already in the game, even more insane is the fact that it has some stuff there, just enough to make it feel lived in
I am a history nerd and this is one of the most unique ways to learn about history and the origin of phrases, food, items and so much more
Please never stop, I don’t care which game and honestly it doesn’t even have to be a game but keep doing this. It’s a perfect treat for history lovers like me and I have learned a bunch of things in here that I wouldn’t have otherwise
If I could play only one game for the rest of my life, it would be RDR2. And you are my favorite creator on all of UA-cam. Thank you for all the work you do and your commitment to historical truth.
RDR2 may be the only game I play for the rest of my life.
babe wake up, Real Pixels uploaded
Wake up babe real pixels uploaded

This day just keeps getting better and better
what else happened today that was good?
Alex Jones getting a little shout out haha!
Armadillo more resembles a 1870s-1880s boom town. An early 1900s town would have the look of being more settled and modern.
RDR 1 being set in 1911 makes little sense
There’s nothing to build upon. The place is in new Austin, the end of civilization and the home of lawlessness. Not to mention it’s been stricken by fever, famine, plague, and the lawman leaving. There’s no reason it would progress .
@@cheften2mkRDR 1 is a playground of various western set pieces.
New Austin is the classical western and has the traditional Southwestern-Texas setting.
Nuevo Paraiso is the spaghetti western set in conflict-stricken Northern Mexico.
West Elizabeth is the revisionist "End of Age" western and has this "shadow of civilization" setting.
@@howardmctroy3303Should have been set 20-30 years earlier. By 1911 the West is looong dead
I just read today about Native American tree bending. This would explain the trail trees near the trapper, north of Emerald Ranch.
I know you’ll get a lot of “you missed” but I really thought you’d do an episode or two on the bounties in story mode. The snake oil salesman, the woman who kills her lovers etc.
The quality of these videos actually seems to get better - which is amazing, as they were always great!
Will never get enough of these videos
Love how my state, Indiana, is brought up so much with Cholera. Especially appropriate because we managed to have a HIV epidemic in the mid 2010s too.
11:28 Hamilton, Ohio. Considered by some as the quintessential American town.
the things i would do to see this style of your videos on any of the assassins creed games
Gay frogs are canonical in rdr2
also genuinely canonical in real life. herbicides follow water sheds into ponds. these herbicides do a hole lot of shit that i cant fully explain in a youtube comment, which all contribute to infertility.
Good job as always, the Butcher Creek shaman I believe is based on William McIntosh and Daniel Newman McIntosh.
Hard to believe its been 6 years since this game has come out
Love how relaxing these vids are
Yo bro, I love these types of videos you make! I know it takes a lot time and effort to create, but you do amazing work and it’s real educational!! Be well Mr. Pixels!! 😁
I was so pissed off when I finally got to armadillo to see the state it was in. My favorite town from rdr1 completely desolate and devoid of anything interesting. Just fires and misery.
i swear if my teachers used this to teach history, i'd be all in
About the “gay” frogs. It wasn’t that it was necessarily making them gay but rather just hyper sexual. An animals sexuality can not be changed and while there are most certainly gay frogs, it obviously isn’t a result of any sort of chemical.
I was at Bodie not even 2 weeks ago lmao. Cool to see it mentioned! Great video as always 👍
Are you planning to cover what's in Red Dead Online?
Time for my annual history lesson
Clear my schedule. Real Pixels just uploaded a video.
Been looking forward for this vid! 🙌
I think kingdom come deliverance would prob be a good one to look through u might have to do it mission by mission
Bro new book about rdr2s history released and all I could think was this channel does it better
That's incredibly kind-but the new book is amazing too! I've been enjoying learning more from a different perspective.
I loved this episode, hearing about an entire town dying was fucked
Another banger of a video.
Great watch as always 👊🏿💜
I really hope GTA6 is going to have interesting strangers, stories and real historical references.
LET'S FREAKING GO!! 👏
6:04 "There turning the freakin' frogs gay!!!"
Beautiful as always
Armadildo
Great video!
What’s that? RealPixels uploaded another historical Red Dead Redemption video? Don’t mind if I do.
Can’t wait for to do RD1 and RDR
6:31 lol
11:51 Toadvine - "Kill yer ass!"
In the youtube straight up watching it. And by it. Well. Let's just say How Historically Accurate is Armadillo in Red Dead Redemption 2?
underrated comment.
No way I have just finished watching encounters part 2
New RDR2 vid 🔥 love it
Armadillo By Morning, Up From Saint Denis.
The Bodie curse is real!
Yes! more! give me more!
RDR1 now that it's on PC please :)
Damn, I wasn't ready for the Alex Jones reference in this video and it made me burst in laugh! 🏳🌈🐸
I would love to see the last of us 1 & 2, I don't know so much about the history but I think it would be quite interesting!
History? Most of that game is set in the future.
@@MuchWhittering there’s still history surrounding the infections and the cities they’re set in.
5:04 It's a shame you talked about the regular old climate-alarmism at this part, rather than how realisticaly it would've been to have someone make claims about coming climatic changes during the late 19th century
Holy shit Mimir in red dead 2
Argue can’t go to new Austin
If it's possible could you talk about the money they are using
I love how deep you dive. Leave it to a european to teach this american about his country’s history.
lets gooooo just in timeeee
The Mafia series. Plenty of history to reveal from those games.
New Austin is heavily downplayed in Red Dead Redemption 2, it’s literally the ‘West.’
Wait, the frogs might actually turn gay
LETS GOOOOO
video starts at 12:43
gay frogs are historically accruate
This game could've been so much more...
I've always found the state of New Austin to be an interesting location story-wise. The last outlaw country. The dying breath of the wild west.
It's so wild that apparently, there's no state government of its own. New Austin is tied to the government from West Elizabeth.
LFG
Hey
Hey will you ever do other games like ghosy of tsushina eud love to hear the history
U have guns to look at in rdr2
THEYRE TURNING THE FROGS GAY
Witcher 3
Bro is genuinely doing anything but RDR1 lmfao. New Austin post-game RDR2 isn’t even canon.
Clickbait ass title dawg
310 views in 18 minutes bro fell off
don't bring that Instagram trend to UA-cam.
Yeah piss off
Armadillo is related to Amarillo Texas. Next stop Mexico!!!! Get it right.
It's a fine ass day indeed
