Thanks so much for watching! If you ever feel like hanging out and maybe watching me play some games, I've just started streaming on Twitch! Feel free to tune in at Twitch.tv/Real_Pixels What's your favourite location of the game so far?
I love how seriously you said “This is probably accurate since Uncle appears to be between the ages of 50 and 1,423, but it is impossible to say for sure.”
“$1000 back then = to over $33,000 today, maybe they would’ve had enough for Tahiti after all” Dutch with $42,000 at Beaver Hollow: “ *WE NEED MORE MONEY!!!* “
The saddest part of the Natives plight in RDR 2 is ultimately no oil was found on the Wapiti reservation. So much pain was caused by that conflict, Captain Monroe was ostracized, the natives were again evicted. How many died for that land native and soldier alike? Eagle Flies, even Colonel Favours, they all died for nothing.
The other sad part? In the epilogue, the Cornwall oil factory is boarded up. Meaning once the farce was discovered, and with the demise of conrwall himself, the company folded. Similar to how Rockefeller oil was split into the various companies we know today.
@@Gadanfer use your brain and stop letting your emotions get the best of you. it's fucked up either way, but it's extra fucked up that it was all pointless.
Something I noticed is how this chapter contrasts Rhodes. In Rhodes, the gang saw themselves as better than the two families and the people of Rhodes, yet in this chapter, the roles are reversed, they are seen as the inferior ones.
They saw themselves as better than both the two families and Angelo Bronte, but Angelo bronte saw them as lesser, and each family only saw the gang as better than their rival. The Grays saw the gang as better than the braithwaites and the braithwaites saw the gang as better than the grays
Lemoyne is perhaps my favourite location of any open world, the sheer amount of History poured into every corner crafted to make it feel as authentic as possible is an Achievement all on its own.
And it’s based of my state so it’s so FREAKING awesome to do things and see things that I actually experience in real life and I’ve Been to New Orleans and it’s JUST LIKE saint denis. Where I live is similar to Rhodes so that freaking awesome
This is one of the most engaging and well-researched video series out there. I always watch the new episodes right away when they show up in recommended. Please, keep up the great work!
The research that you’ve done is absolutely insane and then knowing that Rockstar even bothered to be historically accurate as much as possible is just…🤯 Please keep the videos going!
I love this series so much, every episode in this series have been the best Red Dead Redemption 2 video I've seen. I can't wait to see more from you. I love history and seeing how much you research you do for these videos is astounding. It makes my day every time I watch a video of yours and I can not possibly thank you enough for them
This is by far my most favorite series on the entire platform. Love the content, attention to detail, tremendous skill and editing. Can't wait to see you hit 100k!
That mission where you go with Thomas and run into the Legendary Gator is one of the best in any game. The suspense and horror is so well done. You KNOW whats gonna happen, NPCs been talking about the big white gator for a while at this point in the game. You know its gonna show up. Rockstar drags it out forver, putting you in more and more vulnerable positions and never showing you the beast. That part where you are carrying Thomas back and Dutch is shooting over your shoulder, yelling 'Don't look behind you" is awesome. And then, finally, you see it. And it rushes the boat, twice. No amount of gunfire stops it. Its done so well. Better than most horror games, which rely more on a jump-scare than anything... which you are anticipating the whole mission and it never comes. A Jump-scare is just a surprise. This mission is pure dread and anxiety. Just so well done.
The bit at 27:10 about the Bank of Louisiana being the Saint Denis Bank is wrong. The bank is actually based on the Louisiana State Bank while the Lemoyne Supreme Court is based on the Bank of Louisiana. If you don't believe me you can check it out for yourselves.
I rewatch these videos all the time, and today while I had terrible diarrhea. I saw you posted this video and thought to myself “I’m gonna watch this after I’m done “.
11:48 I wasn't expecting that, it was fucking hilarious how dry you said "This is probably accurate." 🤣🤣🤣 So matter of fact, and then you just move on 😂
Hey mate. Loving this series, and overall love all of videos you make. It's criminal that you don't have more subscribers, especially with the amount of effort and detail you put into your videos. Keep up the good work brother. Cheers, from NZ :)
This series never gets old. The level of detail is incredible, and the amount of effort you put into every episode is obvious. Thank you for making these videos man, we appreciate it!
I rarely comment, but I feel as if I at least owe you that much for such a great video. I have not come accross such a well researched and written series on RDR2 thus far, and honestly probably never will. I hope you keep making something in this style even after this series is done!
This whole series is like the most educational content I have ever seen for a game and your research with the way you are compiling all the details with such a perfect pace makes me feel like I am in the most interesting history class. Thank you so much for all hard work you did to make this series. 10/10
I just love this series that you've created here. So interesting, so much effort that you put into researching everything, and I really like your style of talking and presenting it all. Keep up this great work :)
Damn this is super interesting! You just got yourself a new subscriber and now this new subscriber is on a binge watch of all these red dead vids. Thanks and great work bro.
In the UK. To be "On a jolly" is to be somewhere supposedly on business but in actual fact you're taking a sudo vacation on works time. Think of it like being at a conference that you're not taking seriously but are there just for the free food and drink and evening socailising.
I love how well researched your videos are. also the atmosphere you create with the background music. as a fan of the game this is so informative and entertaining.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve watch this entire series over. Too many to count. If and every time I watch it I learn something new and I actually retain that information. Very well done.
Beautiful presentation!!!! Now I understand why most of us couldn't find our interest on history, They weren't teaching us in this manner. Can't wait for the next history lesson. I have been indulged in this series in a manner like I never was when I was studying history in school. Keep it up buddy!!!
This is a fantastic series, thanks so much for all the work, time, and effort put in!! Just a side note, when Dutch says “on a jolly”, I thought it was British slang for going on holiday. Must’ve come from the boat; fascinating!
I recently finishished Mafia III, also set in fictional New Orleans in 1968. And I keep getting more enamoured with the bayou. I wish you'd talked more about the folks who lived there. Since, according to Sammy, by 1968 it was abandoned (apart from the gangs from the game). Great job as always. I can really see you making a sort of continuation episode to this series about Lousiana history with Mafia III. The first 5 hours of the game are as rich with context as RDR II. Really recommend checking out the introduction.
I really do respect how much time and effort you must put into these and it's produced like a college level report. I hope your channel grows because you REALLY deserve it keep it up!
Binge-watched all of these, can't wait to see more. What an amount of research has gone into making these videos (let alone the game). You deserve many more views and subscriptions.
These vids are bloody FANTASTIC! They make my time at work go lil quicker. Plus, I (we) got 3 other co-workers to play the game cuz these vids added to my gettin them to try it out. Keep em coming as much as you can. Please and thank you
I'm on my 7th playthrough, started it 7 months ago, recently got into chapter 6. The game is so much better when you watch these types of videos and when you invest yourself in the story/side missions
At 4:28 you assumed that Arthur has welsh ancestry, whereas there are a group of Scots that share his surname and are more likely have been misplaced by Englishmen.

Valentine
Valentine is the most convenient with a gun store, pub and a barber but for me the most beautiful location is Strawberry 🍓

So true
TBH prices & cost of travel and food and expenditure were extremely cheap.
Do the value was like millions
(Me with gold plated guns and 7k in cash)
Yea we’re pretty broke.
The in game currency is most definitely less valuable than in game. A can of beans is like $33 if we’re using the currency literally

@DIGITAL red dead is a great history lesson
The other sad part?
In the epilogue, the Cornwall oil factory is boarded up. Meaning once the farce was discovered, and with the demise of conrwall himself, the company folded.

Thankfully UA-cam does all the timing for me, making my job a lot easier! I’m glad that they help. 😊

Absolutely excellent sense of humor at 12:00 I loved that man, keep up the amazing work!

Uncle was still a teenager when Justinian took large parts of the former western empire

"uncle appears to be somewhere between the age of 50 and 1249" that gave me a little giggle
