TAKUMI DIDN'T DIRECT APOLLO JUSTICE! It was directed by Mitsuru Endo. Shu Takumi actually had less involvement in Apollo Justice than Takeshi Yamazaki. He was still involved, but all of his credits pertain to the series as a whole rather than the game.

[Spoilers for AJ] Honestly, the decision to bring Phoenix back to the courts ruined it for me. He had such a grandiose transformation on those 7 years between T&T and AJ, having to deal with the hardest times of his life while taking care of Trucy, bearing the weight of the unfairness AND seeking a way to bring justice to everything. He fitted in the mentor role so perfectly, understanding the courtroom as a true master, while learning its limitations on his own skin. I mean, he spent seven years creating the Jurist System for this. And then... All went to shitland because goofy Phoenix sells more to newcomers. Hell, that's so unfair to him. And mostly for Apollo. He's definitely best boy. Also, the way they made it, I think they introduced Athena too soon. They should either had only Phoenix and Apollo working together (so that each has more cases/screentime) or -- my favorite version -- Apollo and Athena as the new faces of Wright Anything Agency, with Phoenix as the unorthodox mentor. Seriously, that would've been gold.

I'd argue the trilogy name fits. It's not the same as the OG trilogy in the sense that Apollo has to share the spotlight with Phoenix and Athena, but TT and SoJ flesh him out a LOT more than AJ does ironically, even if he's not the "main'" lawyer (now wheter or not they did a good job of it can be aegued, but I personally didn't have a problem with the added backstories)

Small correction: Apollo Justice actually WASN’T directed by Shu Takumi, but instead Mitsuru Endo. While Takumi did write the story for the game and served as a supervisor, he didn’t return for the director’s chair. In fact, other than the OG trilogy, the only games in the series he has directed are the Professor Layton crossover (though that was alongside Atsuhi Kanno) and the Great Ace Attorney duology.
Apollo really got the raw end of the deal. He was the character that got his writers changed in the middle of his own game, so that’s why his writing is so jacked up which is ashamed because I literally love him. He deserved better writing and a better backstory than what he got. The Apollo Justice trilogy my butt! He literally is only fully playable in one game! The other 2 games have Phoenix’s name on it! Even though, I don’t really consider AJ to even be his game- SOJ was his real game! 😭 I’m still salty at how he was treated by the developers!
Hopefully the investigation games will be ported in the future. Heck the fact that the sequel would get an English release would probably be a great selling point.
Apollo Justice's first game has to be the hardest of the Ace attorney series, so I'm glad i'll be able to play it anywhere on my switch. I really hope they give Athena more time in the spotlight too. I really liked the Apollo & Trucy combo of the first game! Athena I wasn't as fond of, but that's because the game became "competing weird powers or tech" the game. Also I just find Trucy more entertaining as the support
I really liked Apollo Justice but it's the only one of the new trilogy that I played. I also liked Phoenix's plot, it kinda sucks to learn that they dropped it all to make him MC again.
As someone who has only played the original trilogy, the first ace attorney investigations game and is currently playing the great ace attorney game and AAI2. Why does Phoenix look like a hobo in the Apollo justice game
I played Apollo Justice as a teenager and thats where i finally found a proper appreciation for it. Afterwards, the DS broke and we didn't have a 3DS. I then found out they had a release for smartphones, which I patiently waited to get an APK of DD and SOJ. This series isn't connected as much as AA Trilogy or GAA was but SOJ was like a proper sequel to Apollo Justice and it paid off really well
As for graphics, I'm still bummed out about AA Trilogy having a bad remake when the mobile release had better sprite remake of AJ than the PC remake of AA Trilogy. The Sprites shown in the trailer of AJ was kinda just like a port of the mobile release so im not complaining. though AJ was at the time where Nintendo were transitioning to 3D and AJ has this 3D gameplay and in the mobile release it looked dated, im 100% sure they're just gonna copy paste it and its just gonna be a high resolution low poly scene.
I wish the english comunnity know about how the spanish comunity has almost 20 years without an Ace Attorney in spanish. Since Apollo Justice realise, no one game was realised in spanish. DD and SOJ isn't spanish and this fucking port neither will be in spanish. Come on, CapCom, what the hell?? Literally closing the doors to a SUCH BIG community who loves the games. Jeez if this is the "Apollo Justice Trilogy", you might as well call the Investigation games the "Raymond Shield's Duology"
I really liked the Apollo & Trucy combo of the first game! Athena I wasn't as fond of, but that's because the game became "competing weird powers or tech" the game. Also I just find Trucy more entertaining as the support
Honestly I hope they port Ace Attorney Investigations 1 and 2 next as a duology. The second game still never officially was released over here.

I really liked Apollo Justice but it's the only one of the new trilogy that I played. I also liked Phoenix's plot, it kinda sucks to learn that they dropped it all to make him MC again.

As someone who has only played the original trilogy, the first ace attorney investigations game and is currently playing the great ace attorney game and AAI2. Why does Phoenix look like a hobo in the Apollo justice game
I played Apollo Justice as a teenager and thats where i finally found a proper appreciation for it. Afterwards, the DS broke and we didn't have a 3DS. I then found out they had a release for smartphones, which I patiently waited to get an APK of DD and SOJ. This series isn't connected as much as AA Trilogy or GAA was but SOJ was like a proper sequel to Apollo Justice and it paid off really well
As for graphics, I'm still bummed out about AA Trilogy having a bad remake when the mobile release had better sprite remake of AJ than the PC remake of AA Trilogy. The Sprites shown in the trailer of AJ was kinda just like a port of the mobile release so im not complaining.
though AJ was at the time where Nintendo were transitioning to 3D and AJ has this 3D gameplay and in the mobile release it looked dated, im 100% sure they're just gonna copy paste it and its just gonna be a high resolution low poly scene.

Apollo justice... trilogy? He only had 1 game, dual destinies was a "Pheonix wright return" game, and Spirit of Justice was half Pheonix.

I wish the english comunnity know about how the spanish comunity has almost 20 years without an Ace Attorney in spanish. Since Apollo Justice realise, no one game was realised in spanish. DD and SOJ isn't spanish and this fucking port neither will be in spanish. Come on, CapCom, what the hell?? Literally closing the doors to a SUCH BIG community who loves the games. Spanish one of the most talked language, I think even more than english. This is so fucked up and I always feel sick when I see people so happy for this and my latin ass is like "well, another year without Ace Attorney in spanish to the count". Almost 20 YEARS!! Come on.
