Not to mention, getting to watch the TOS movies as they came out. (I was born in 1981. I basically got to see Star Treks III - VI come out in the theaters). So....seeing these ships....and the Enterprise-D in Episode 9, made me realize just how much I loved that era of Star Trek. To see these ships (and DS9 in LD) after all these years.... God, I had a wonderful childhood with these shows.

Any TRUE fan would just be happy to have Star Trek back and NOT use lame excuses of the stupid, pathetic, IDIOTIC WOKE concept and the equally stupid "It's not my Star Trek" argument.
Star Trek could have VERY EASILY ended after Enterprise. Gone, left without a renewal.
      Instead, since enterprise, we got
      Star Trek Kelvin trilogy
      Star Trek Lower Decks
      Star Trek Discovery
      Star Trek Strange New Worlds
      Star Trek: Picard
      And Star Trek Prodigy.

Just such a big love letter to Trekkies. Some nitpicks... Seen as Jack's relationship to his father is one of the conversation threads of this scene you'd think they'd have shown the Stargazer. Seven could have told Jack it was his father's first command. Then, with the shot of the Enterprise A, Seven could have clarified it was Kirk's second Enterprise and perhaps could have added, "your father commanded two Enterprises too" as a way of reminding Jack of how great is father was much like Kirk, to help him draw closer to him. Also, its a nod to the E which got so little love in Picard.

First of all let me just say the fleet museum, as a concept for this particular episode, was brilliant both as a nostalgic device and the furtherance of canon. I like that these ships go someplace to be honored, remembered and visited. Living in Philadelphia across the river from the real life USS New Jersey I've had a humbling opportunity to visit floating history and seeing how the sailors lived and worked together in such close proximity wrapped in this incredibly claustrophobic shell of wire and metal. It's nice to see that tradition continued well into the future. In my mind's eye I can see the crews of these ships (the ones still alive anyway) taking their family and friends on a holiday to visit the museum and walk around inside a memory. I truly hope that happens before the series concludes. Maybe Seven on the Voyager visiting her old alcove or Worf sitting in the captains chair of the Defiant, maybe a fond look over to Dax's station and a single tear or even Jean-Luc on the recovered saucer section of the Enterprise-D. One can only dream.
Secondly, this season has been an absolute delight to behold and while I feel the entire Picard run should have been just like S3, I am grateful for at least one season with the old band back together doing their thing while handing off the baton to the next. Its been a real privilege to see it done right, unlike, say, how Disney took a giant fucking shit on Luke, Leia and Han in the Rey trilogy. They breathed new life into a decades old beloved tv show which is a TREMENDOUS achievement in and of itself. Of course a part of me hopes the response to this season will prompt Paramount to sign these actors on for several more, but I will be forever grateful to the writers, cast and crew of S3 for fixing what was broken in the first two seasons and giving them a REMARKABLE send off.

Its truly amazing this entire Star trek Series is suppose to be based way into the future, but through out the years they have created an entire history with decommissioned vessels and stories associated with them.

When I heard Jack say that the Cloaking device from the Klingon Bird of Prey/H.M.S. Bounty had been reactivated I was surprised that thing was still working even after Jack and Sidney stole it to use it on the U.S.S. Titan considering that cloaking device had to be well over 100 years old and it still worked was really surprising to say the least.

I may have had a bit of a moment when Seven brought up Voyager. Say what you want about the Defiant and all the Enterprise iterations, the Voyager was really something else. I really hope we see a few more Voyager crew members in this, any of them, they were all so good

@@SchneeflockeMonsoon Yeah I know. The LCARS shows the status of the F as "early decommission" and the status of the E as "unknown". It also shows the status of the D as "saucer section salvaged".
I'm guessing we will see both the D and the E by the end of the show. I'm 99% sure the D will be in the show, they have had different characters mention it almost every episode. The theme this season has been refitting and modernizing older ships so I'm guessing we will get the refit enterprise D. The galaxy x class that we seen in the TNG finale "all good things" that had the new 3 nacelle star drive. That episode takes place around the same star date but in a parallel universe.
One of them is probably in "Hangar 12".

I grew up watching Star trek (90s to present) and seeing so many of these iconic ships again with their respected themes playing was heart warming and extremely nostalgic (wish we got to see NX-1 though), but seeing Seven showcasing USS Voyager with Voyager theme playing in the background was just a perfect heartfelt moment, and I hope we get to see more of these moments again in the 3rd season of Picard.

@@davidbethke5463 Oh I know she's in there. Just wish we got a close up like the others. We got to see the fighting Defiant, the classic Enterprise-A, and memorable Voyager, only thing missing was the spark NX-1 since that Enterprise was the spark that helped create the formation and ideals of the Federation.
