Galladur can be recruited in proving grounds once you have finished the events in Yarnaan.
The first quest after Yarnaan is "Turn back to Athrabalt"
Can we still recruit people who we didnt recruit?
Hi! from what I know there are no missable characters, with the exception of the last character which will only join you if you have recruited everyone before a certain point in the story, which is very late in the game. you can visit back all the places you've been to so there shouldnt be any restrictions!

Have you cleared all events in Yarnaan? There will be a point where you will not be able to return to it. Then you will see the main quest as shown in the video!
