So glad Moody is okay and that you found a veterinarian. Thank you Dr. D for helping our Cog Hill Farm family.
So happy Moody is ok. I had a 2,000 lb pet steer, he was just as gentle as Moody. His name was TBone (but he never became someone’s TBone). He absolutely loved children. I brushed him two times a day everyday. He would let my young nieces come in and brush him too. I can’t tell you how much I miss him.
Rebecca-- Can you tell me how long he lived? I'm curious. Such a magnificent being.
I'm so sorry for your loss! How old was he? It hurts so much to lose a pet. 🐄💖

"The Lord did it again! Sent you a wonderful vet that loves your animals and will be your go to vet! Another wonderful person, like all the others that were 'sent' to you for your needs on the farm!!! God Bless you all and thank goodness that Moody is OK!
I cannot believe the Love I feel for Moody, and the relief that I feel knowing he is going to be fine.
Thank you Doc!
🇨🇦❤️🙏🏻
That is so true!! I love that boy so much!!
Yes, me too. I love every living creature on the Cog Hill 40...especially the humans! lol
It's very common for ranchers to love their animals, however many they have. Their independent peronality mixed with herd mentality....

You definitely made the correct decision. It is always important to get any issues checked out because the outcomes are always worse when you wait too long to intervene with injury or illness.
Wonderful Moo Man is on the mend
So Great to have a Vet Doc to relieve the stress questions an also comes up with Grest ideals to help with Moo Man an all the other babies,,Great Doctor,,feel better Moo Man💞🐾
Moody.. taking care of business! So happy he helped y’all find a pet approved vet! Dr D sounds like a gem!
I'm glad Moody is ok ❣️ I know the Doc is going to love Nugget when he gets to know him.
Hope the good Dr doesn't wear earrings. Nugget will try to eat them for sure! lol
It's so funny how Moody has become Jason's when it was Brooke who really wanted to get him as Jason wasn't so sure. It just goes to show how much love Jason has for ALL the pets on the farm.
Moody looks amazing:) So glad y'all caught that he was limping and called the vet. Bet he is glad too !
What a blessing! So glad Dr D is approved by you and Moodie. I love this for you !
Nothing better than finding a vet that loves your babies like you do! Give Moo man big squishy hugs from us! Dr. Dee, thank you and please get to know our Nugget! He is the best feathered baby you would ever want to meet! He just needs to get to know you and clean your shoes for you!
Thank you, Dr Dee for taking care of that beautiful steer. We viewers love Moody and I was extra worried in case it might be serious. Brooke and Jason, you make wonderful animal carers. What a relief! Love to you, MaryCarl and ALL the animals.
Oh my gosh. My heart nearly beat out my chest when I got the notification. I am soooo glad he is ok, that must have been very sore for the little fella. I am glad y'all like Dr.Dee. and he helped you out. Give him some eggs next time he comes out. HUGE hugs for moody.
I really had to laugh when I read you comment. “Little fella” 😂 don’t think Moody has been a little fella in a really long time.
@@gabesmom5615 I know he is not "little" . I am British and "little fella" means "young" and a term of endearment to me. But glad I made you laugh :) I am just glad the little fella is better now. That is all that counts. Hope this gives you another "giggle" :)
Nothing better than Vet who knows their business & loves their work.
Absolutely. Kind of like a car mechanic that way. Two of the very best people in one's life, and not easy to find. They were guided to find Dr Dee, of that I'm certain.
Wow you are blessed to find a vet like that. What vet would give you an emergency kit just in case he can't get out there. He's thinking past ahead of the game. Keep this guy he sounds great God bless him. And Moody looks wonderful you could tell he's a little sore but in a few days I'm sure he'll be fine. You take so good care of all your animals you two are the best God bless you and your family
I loved it when Moody was giving your arm kisses for sure. I imagine his hoof is still sore for a few days with that barb wire in it poor baby. I would tend to think maybe taking a walk around the back pasture and see if there's any other pieces laying around from maybe prior owners that were there?? So glad you found a good and smart Vet for sure. God bless you ALL and big hugs to Moody and the Vet ....Dr. Dee.
Good idea to check for more metal & use a metal dector. Don't know if you meant do do it that way.
@@lorettarussell3235 This is Dianna Brooks, Exactly what I was thinking. I'm sure somebody would be glad to help. Make it like a treasure hunt.
I could hear the relief in your voices as you found the perfect vet for your animals. And how kind of him to have a plan to create an animal medicine supply you can have on hand. And yes, I can imagine you confuse cattle farmers who are raising cattle for commercial reasons. I have family members who are ranchers who would scratch their heads if I told them what pets you own.
I can't believe how relieved I am that everyone is alright! You'd think I knew them personally HAHAHAHA...Glad all is well and you have found a really good vet for the babies.
I'm so happy y'all found such a great vet! He's a keeper! Thank you Dr Dee!
I would love to see Mary Karl become a veterinarian with a specialty on birds. She seems so natural at it. We need more good vets.
Your pasture is pretty large - do you have a metal detector- that could be a great addition especially as you continue building your farm!!
I was thinking that might be a good idea.
I’m glad you caught that early Jason… I had to laugh about Dr. Dee thinking Moody was a 600 pound steer! And wrestling with Moo over a shot was funny too.. I’m glad he’s gonna come out twice a year too… having a good Vet is essential! I very much enjoy your videos and the love you have for the animals you have.
I love it that Lester has Moo who is his “pet” steer and you have Moody. I wonder if that is why you and Lester get along so well.
😅😅
So happy y’all found a good vet! That’s so important and the fact he’ll trim Moody’s hooves is awesome! God bless y’all! ❤
Most people don't even know cattle need hoof trimming. Cattle in soft soil pastures need to be trimmed at least once a year
Thank goodness for the vet. So glad he was able to come today. Bet you are relieved. Such lucky animals living on your farm have so much love xxx
When you unplug the electric fence, please pull it out by the plug and not the wire. One day you're going to pull the wire out of the plug and be left standing there with a live wire in your hand. Never unplug any cord by pulling on the wire. Too dangerous. So glad that Moody's problem was discovered and fixed. Y'all do a great job caring for the animals.
When I saw Moody walking it looked like a pebble in the foot to me, so glad you found that out before his hoof got infected. Great call Jason !!!!! I think Brooke needs to start wearing a visor sun hat (easier for your hair than a ball cap) because I think she has sensitive skin that I noticed has freckled a lot more this summer. I have to wear hats outside all day in the sun because when I was a beach lifeguard I got a lot of sun damage on my nose. Praying for the best of health for your family and animals !!! 🙏💕🐥🦆🐄
And sunscreen too. I know it's a pain to do, but if you could put some sunscreen or moisturizer with sunscreen on in the morning, at least it would be some protection. My mother got a spot of skin cancer removed from her nose. Yes, the sun definately makes more sun spots on my face and neck, when I don't wear sunscreen.
@@kaylinklimple2167 Either today or yesterday's video shows her applying Sunscreen on the go. I am sure she applies it frequently if it was in her back pocket
I enjoy watching The Hoof GP on You Tube. I never knew that farm animals can have various painful situations with their hooves before watching his channel. It's always great to see a cow, bull, etc...feeling much better after being treated.
ABSOLUTELY sun screen. EVERY dang day. I am paying for my silliness at a younger age, luckily not too seriously.
So glad Moo Man is fine. Love the fact you have found a great vet who will travel to your farm and loves animals, that is a blessing.
Glad you found a dependable vet for your animals! Poor Moody! Soon he’ll be back to racing you down the fence line! 🐄
Sweet Moody is indeed a gentle giant. His limp was much less than I could imagine once we saw the barbed wire 'knot' - a 1600 pound steer walking with metal jammed in his foot. Just thinking about it made me shiver/cringe. Once his foot heals and his hooves are trimmed maybe it will time for a dance-off with Jason. Party time for a pain-free Moody!
I'm so glad Moody is going to be okay. It's always worrisome when somethings wrong with our babies. Dr. Dee sounds amazing! It's wonderful you found him and will help you get things set up.
So glad Moody is doing good. Also happy you found a vet in your area that you can get to come see everyone.
Happy for Moody getting the old wire out! We have a head gate and squeeze shoot for our cattle but still take them to our local vet for feet trimming because they have an awesome shoot that turns them on their side. We use prohibit and cydectin too.
It would be fairly easy to build a basic head gate into a fence line or permanent shelter and get Moody used to using it at feed time. It will be useful for Mildred too if the need arises but she'd have to be used to it too.💕
Aweeee bless our moody with a healed up hoof! 😘♥️
Glad Moody’s sorted. That must have been uncomfortable, he doesn’t seem as lame.
We always had an extensive medicine cabinet, just in case, for our horses. Because the vet can’t always get to you.
Doing a great job guys
Good Morning to everyone at Cog Hill! What a relief that Moody's doing well. No matter the problem when dealing with 1700 lbs of love, any issue could be difficult to take care of. Thank you, Dr. Dee. He also probably didn't realize that he was working with a steer known & loved all over the world! :o) Ms. Lewis looks like an experienced mama by now. Take care!
So glad you have a vet that you trust to see Moody. Dr. Dee was loving and kind to Moody 🙂🙌🙌 ! Glad, you seen him limping and the problem was taken care of. Prayers 🙏 for speedy healing. ❤️ from Texas
I am so happy that you found this vet. He sounds like a good friend for you and the animals. Blessings from Proctor Minnesota!
Glad to see Dr Dee likes the boys and Mildred. He seems like a very nice animal loving vet. Great to have this fellow near by to taKe care of the animals.
I love how you guys TCB. The way your pets show their love for you is heart warning. So happy you have an amazing vet on board. Fantastic. ♥️
That’s wonderful that you found a sweet vet:) Moody is a very special steer and so happy the vet was able to fix Moody right up:) I’m sure the doc. Is going to start watching you guys just to see your animals:) Brook how are you feeling after standing in the ants? Tfs stay safe and God Bless:)
Thankyou Doctor Dee! I am so happy you found a good doctor to help you, you must all be so relieved to have someone to help with the precious babies...❤️
I am just so happy y'all have found a great vet that cares so much and loves on and talks to the animals. That is so hard to find sometimes plus he makes home visits which is best for the animals state of mind to keep them from getting even more stressed.
Wow… how awesome to have a Vet on board to help take care of all the animals. Hopefully Nugget too. That is so wonderful that he is going to set up a medicine pack for y’all. So lucky for y’all to have found him.. a big sign of relief.
Glad Moody is on the mend.
Have a wonderful day!

Moody is such a beautiful big boy! Yes "gentle giant" for sure! I believe he gets so much love and care he feels no need for aggressive behavior. You guys rock and Moody loves you 💖
So glad Cog Hill now has a wonderful new Vet!! Ya'll are such good keepers of all your animals and always better to be safe than sorry and something little turning into something big. Dr. Dee is going to be another great addition to the family!! Setting up a first aid kit is such a good idea 💙 many blessings to the family and all the animals 🙏 🙏🙏💙💙💙
I'm so happy for the mooman and all your animals that they have a wonderful vet that's going to take care of them for you all! That has to be such a relief for you.
Great video as usual!
I remember the video of the first time Jason rolled up and set his eyes on Moody 🤣😂 You couldn't tell then that such an awesome relationship would be born. The cow/steer has become 'the new' Mans Best Friend.
Glad Moody is alright an you found a good vet !

So great full for our lovely vet. Good vets are all over great vets are hard to come by. Love to you all xx
So glad moody is feeling better , he’s a sweetheart 💕
So beyond happy you found a kind loving good vet! Poor moody hopefully his hoof feels so much better now and he heals up just fine! Have a great weekend guys!!! 🥰
Dang that's like having a thorn in your boot with no way to get it out. Poor Moody
I'm so glad to see Brooke applying sunscreen! That has really worried me for some time. The camera was showing some real sun damage.
😢I agree, her nose has taken a beating, my husband has had so many cancer spots burned off (he was a pilot) on his face, his ears, his arms.
I discovered your page from Lester and Jami and found a sweet loving family! I got my Cog Hill shirt this week and will wear it proudly! Glad Moody is better! What a blessing Dr D is for your critters!
Oh my, what a blessing this vet was! So glad that you've found a good one and more important that he quickly found the barbed wire in Moo Man's hoof! Lordy! Glad you guys are so attentive to your animals and notice his altered gait quickly. Wonderful good visit!
That's wonderful you all found someone to come out and take care of the animals. I know how much you love that....😊🥰👩🦽
good morning Cog Hill and Cog squad im sorry to hear about moddy I hope everything turns out OK. Everyone remember smash that like button for the best channel on U Tube 💯 ❤
Y’all’s farm is so special, how could a vet not want to be your regular and get to visit anytime?! I’m so happy everything worked out!!
Dr Dee sounds like an amazing vet. Our vet is like him teats the dogs like they're his he talks to them will giving shots and gives treats after.
So glad for Moody and you finding a great new vet. Jason, it's totally fine to rub out the bump from the shot. It's actually good to help disperse and get the bump down, by rubbing it.
SUGGESTION: Find another cattle farm near y'all and see who they have for vet services. It should be helpful and could coordinate them stopping at your farm for animal checks when they are already in the area. Well I said this before watching the whole video, hope y'all found your go to vet!
I have found curly dock poultice to be very helpful in healing fire ant bites... just grab some leaves, rip them and roll in your hands until liquid begins to extract from the plant then apply leaves to the bites and tape (medical tape) into place for 30 minutes of longer. May need a second poultice when itch returns (usually 12 hrs later) and that usually does the trick for me.
It's my understanding hay is cheaper earlier in the season over waiting till late winter, when availability can be low and cost goes up.
And, according to some other UA-camrs (OK) there is likely going to be a hay shortage this winter, due to the dry summer.
So glad you found a good vet for the animals. That's half the battle.Moody says can I please have a treat daddy. He is so good.
Ahh Moody, so glad you’re doing better. Thank you Dr D for taking care of the CHF animals. Moody is a gentle giant. Much love to all.
So thankful that you found Dr. Dee and he will be your regular vet ♥️
Sounds like you have landed on your feet finding Dr Dee, it must be a huge relief to know he will come out when he can and that he is going to sort out emergency meds for you to keep on hand. It is so hard these days finding a vet that will do home visits. So happy that Moody's foot was easily sorted.
Dear Moo Man, I know you had a rough day and was in all kinds of pain. And then, out of nowhere some dude you don't know tries to put something sharp in your neck and that was scary as all get out. But what I want you to know is that now you've made a new friend who will come to see you anytime you are sick and in need of him so I'd say you made a wonderful new friend that even if he scared you, it was needed to heal you. Your Daddy Jason, Mama Brooke and Sister MaryCarl love you very, very much and want you to be a healthy and happy cow 🐄 As someone who loves you 🐄 I am thrilled you made a new friend and that you have such an amazing family 👪 ❤️ 💖 ♥️ 😊 💕
“Steer on a string”. 😂 Great work. Moody and Moo are both BIG and dangerous just because of the size.
I can hear the relief and confidence you both have in your voices! Thank you Dr.D for helping dearest sweet Moody! We all love Jason, Brooke and Mary Carl’s pets! Ooooo a metal detector for the bar wire might be in order!
Jason, cows lose teeth and sometimes they will step on the tooth and it gets embedded in their hoof. It causes them hoof pain and can abscess. Check his hooves. He is in his shelter a lot and this could easily happen. It's not that unusual.
You’ve been watching The Hoof GP
Never thought I would spend so much time watching some one trim cows hoofs as I have watching the Hoof GP. 😂
@@mylittledirtranch7009 Ditto!
When I had to give my jersey a shot of antibiotic I cried with her! She jumped and moved just like Moody. Glad it wasn’t something worse.
Oh how my heart thrills at the sound of momma Roomba clucking to her chicks! Thank you Cog Hill Farm 🚜
Oh no poor baby XXX
I'm so glad that you all called the Vet, Dr. Dee, and had him look at Moody and find the problem!! Happy to see Moody feeling better 😊 ! He really is a gentle Giant! It must be a great relief to have found a Vet and a darn good one at that!! Blessings to you, Jason and Brooke and Mary Carl!
Moody moody 😢strong big guy he will bounce back like he was. ❤
I’m so glad Mr Moodys foot was not a big problem with infection. I love Mr Moody. I’ve never seen such a sweet steer ever. Hug him for me.
I’m with Dr D on Emus 🤣
It is so awesome how you love on all your animals and pay attention to how they are acting. So glad MooMan is feeling better!! Your family is the best!! 💙💙💜💜
Good morning Cog Hill and all of the Cog Squad. So glad Moody is feeling better. Thank you Dr Dee for becoming part of the Cog Squad family and the Cog Hill vet. Glad that all of the animals will be under his care. Happy that Mrs Lewis still has both of her babies. She is an awesome mama. How is the kitchen cabinets coming along? Y’all take care.
What a wonderful thing to have a vet who can come regularly and loves animals
Oh no. I hope moody is ok. Watching the video now. Poor moody has a hurt foot
I’m so impressed with how In tuned you are with your animals and don’t ‘wait’ to see what happens before you call for help. Moo man is such a gentleman and trusts you guys to the moon and back. I love that you don’t get all drama about things as well. You’re so calm and informative. It’s so wonderful to feel included as if you’re talking to friends and not get preachy. That’s why I love your channel, absolutely love it 💗🌸 thank once again for sharing.
what a blessing poor mooody's foot was to gain all this help. wnderful.
I am soooo glad you found a remarkable vet who will fall in love with your furry/feathered friends. Hopefully he will sub to your channel and really see what happens out there. He is blessed to know you and likewise with ya'll knowing him. Great guy! Love that Moody is well and Jason, that you caught it in time for easy removal. The relationship between Nugget and Joe could be like a stable mate. It just works for them. They just love on each other. Don't we all need to be loved on? Take care and be goooood! :0)
Sounds like Dr. Dee is a keeper. I'm sure he'll love Nugget, once he gets to know him. The sheriff was raised right, so he's a gentle giant himself.
I was glad to see Miss Louis and her babies. They are really growing! Like they've gotten into the Miracle Grow.
Love to everyone, from South Dakota! 💖
Thanks Dr. Dee! Moo man, feel better buddy! Hi everyone! Have a blessed weekend! Who doesn't love your animals? The Cog squad definitely loves your animals!
Poor big baby moody, so glad he will be ok, I’m so glad you called the vet, glad you found a good vet who loves animals
Mr Moo Man deserves every bit of the love! He is such a sweet bubba.
Jason and Brooke ya'll just such good owners of your pets. It just shows when you know something is wrong and ya'll just act on it. Thank you Dr. D. Maybe a treat when you introduce Dr. D to Sheriff Nugget is an idea. Glad ya'll do make sure to give shout outs and acknowledgement to those in your community. I know ya'll will continue to be as you are: great kind loving down to earth people. Hugs 🤗
Poor Moo man. Reminds me of the tale with the Lion with a thorn in its paw.
I think I would be tempted to sweep that pasture with a Metal detector. To see if you could pick up anything else loose out there. Take care😊
Looked like Moody was closing his eyes and looking away when he got the shot, just like a human.
Nothing like a good ole country vet! Y'all are blessed to find him. Moody has it made.
You may need a hoof trimmer too. White line issue or abcess..(not an expert, I just watch the Hoof GP) Edit: ahh...good it was superficial.
This is the second comment/ thread mentioning the Hoof GP! It's amazing how much Mr Parker has intrigued and captured the interest of so many people around the world, many of whom have absolutely no contact with cattle!
Glad moody will be okay
Very happy that Moody is getting g better. Nothing better then having a vet you can count on!
So glad the doc. found Moody's problem and fixed it. Moody is such is such a sweetheart.
It’s always amazing to find a vet that loves their job. I always thought Moody looks good and healthy. I’m not a fan of scheduled worming for goats, I base it off fecals because the worms become resistant but that’s me and everyone needs to do what’s best for them 😉. But if I need to worm I use cydectin sheep oral and safeguard, dual worming is the way to go. Awe he doesn’t like emus lol but nugget is the sweetest but I think he is rare ❤.. Y’all are great and love watching your channel.
I think male emus are apt to be more human friendly? White House on the Hill's females are standoffish, yet their male, Bamboo, is a love. There's another channel on YT shorts (sorry - I don't know the name) who has two emus, a male and a female. The female, Karen, is vicious and in constant attack mode, whereas the male, Stanley, is a sweetheart.
@@melissajarvis4829 Useless farm is the name and her emu has sent her to the hospital, her channel is funny. Us females are finicky sometimes 😂 I think it’s hormonal lol I honestly have no clue but I do think it’s also on how much they’re handled but I could be wrong.
I was so worried when I read the title to the video, cuz I love Moo Man❤️I’m just so happy that the doctor figured out what was wrong. I’m glad you guys found a good vet. Thanks for sharing the video. Have a great day 🌸
Nothing like a great older vet. Precious to me. My horses were loved by them.
You all need a stantion (spelling?) so Moody can receive hoof and medical care safely.
