The second I saw it and the title, I clicked to watch. Sooo relieved Cole is OK. They never figured out what was wrong? Looks like he's right as rain again, though! Whew! What a relief, for everyone, especially Mom and Dad! Cole looks so much like my Shane (except Shane is one-eyed now), and he had an ultrasound back in September so his belly fur is still in the process of growing back. It grows verrrry slooowly. Yes? So glad he's OK! We had a similar situation with my Ziggy. I knew he had a fever & the vet asked "How did you know?" & my reply was "Well, he wasn't the Flying Claws of Doom when we tried to get him in the carrier & he's MY ZIGGY, I KNOW!" His coat wasn't shiny, he was just lethargic & a few tests later the same outcome, **shrugs**. But he's all good now too, glad Cole is too! Such schpilkes they give us sometimes!!
I was scared when I saw the title. I thought he was sick again. So glad to see it was just the journey from December. I did have to chuckle when Marmalade smelled Cole when he came in the door. He knew exactly where Cole had been, and wanted nothing to do with that. Happy mew Year.
I had a cat who went through a mystery illness too, she started throwing up and couldn't stop she was getting dehydrated and couldn't drink her water took her to emergency, and after blood tests, x-rays etc and a week in the hospital they still couldn't figure out what it was. It took a couple of months but we finally figured it out. She was allergic to advantage flea control and because my other cat was allergic to fleas we used the advantage and then he hated it so much that he would get her to lick it off him and then she would throw up repeatedly. so we stopped the advantage and that stopped. But it was really scary for us.
Very similar experience here, but we discovered our cat was allergic to her cat food. Switched her to a food designed for sensitive digestive tracts and she has been the picture of health ever since.
OMG, yeah, that flea stuff is as bad as just putting straight poison on them! Please don't use that stuff. There are natural and gentle treatments for fleas, one of which is diatomaceous earth (food grade, at feed stores). Be careful with it, though, as it is made from ground up fossilized shells (I think they're fossilized) and they can damage lungs if inhaled. Sprinkle a little on your hands and then apply to kitty from the back of neck down. Fleas ingest and dry up from the inside. Need to sprinkle it everywhere kitty has been as well. Do a search for natural flea treatments - but please, don't use pesticides or insecticides on any animal.
NEVER forget how special every day is with your baby, as u can see, they can leave any day with no explanation. I've lost 2 of my gang of 4 in the last few weeks, all as wonderful as your clan, all one offs. One of my boys was gone in days having had a high temp, even after a week in the hospital, still no explanation. He died the day after he came home. The other with lung cancer but out of the blue, no prior symptoms until the end. Cherish every day. Never walk past when they meow for a cuddle. They are gone all to soon. Gods gifts ❤️😇🐈❤️ xxxx
One of my cats passed away on December, 29th after months fighting against a renal infection that eventually lead to kidney failure. He was named Todi. It was the sweetest cat I've ever found and owned and I've rescued hundreds till now.
They're with us such a short time. I like to think we get to see them again in heaven. My kitty friend made it to 21 - too short a time, but so precious.
My cat also had a mystery illness. High fever, hiding from people, then completely listless. Trip to emergency vet, ultrasound, all kinds of testing, including sending blood to the Vet university here in Colorado. The vet gave him two types of antibiotics and fluids. They sent me home with him and he laid there and looked like he was going to die. He came out of it about a week later. They never found anything conclusive. About 2 years later he got it again. This time, I took him to my regular vet and they just gave him antibiotics and one of those fluid bumps they put under the skin and sent me home with him. About 4 days later, again, he came out of it. That was about 3 years ago now. I just pray it doesn't happen again. It's very scary.
Same with our Hootie. We had to take him to Emergency, listless, with a scary high fever. After all sorts of tests, they never did come to a diagnosis. Hoot also had two antibiotics, fluids, and was scary lethargic for also about a week. That was 10 years ago, and so far, so good. Hope you kitty is still doing well
If Cole's fur is anything like my Shane's(they're practically twins from different moms), it is also the softest fur you will ever feel on a kitty! Just amazingly soft and silky.
Omg I love how he was wagging his tail! Normally dogs do that in happiness and cats when mad. You could clearly see Cole was very happy. 😊 How cute that was!🥰🥰🥰
I lost my little buddy, Peanut, this fall after having her around for 18 years.....I sure miss her. I find myself talking to her, seeing her where she used to be, going to get cat food for no reason, and feeling empty. Keep Cole going and give him love.
I wish my cat was better too but... He died right before christmas... We got to the vet 7 times he got medicine and all that stuff... And i woke up got down stairs and gave him a hug and then he passed away in my arms...😭 i still mis him so much because he was my buddy and he understanded me we had a conection we were born on the same day too! I am so sorry you lost your fur friend. Actually, they are family. I lost my best kitty friend 4 yrs ago & it hurt tremendously. Neither of us was ready for him to go so I can understand how you must be feeling. It's so hard to lose them & I still think about my boy daily. But I do believe that He's waiting for me on the other side as is yours waiting for you. I really do believe that we will see them again. Much love & hugs to you.
I know what it feels like I know a dog is not a cat🙄 but someone took my 5 week old 🐶 dog🤒🤒🤒🤒😓😓😥😥😰😰🤭🤭😨😨😱still to this day I cry and I also left two wild cats behind In Florida it hurt more than hitting my head on the walls but the two cats weren’t mine they were my neighbors but they always came to our house to play still this day I cannot forget all of them and I still cry 😢 and at least your cat is in a better place and will be waiting for you stay strong 💪🏻 always stay strong!😪
The title sent me running to see what happened - so glad Cole is okay, only sorry they couldn't find out what made him ill. Two years ago my sweet Cricket became ill out of nowhere, and it was a heart condition. The vet said she had six months at most with daily meds and frequent vet visits. I couldn't do that to her. She purred in my arms while I said goodbye... and now I'm crying again. Long life to you, Cole!

We just have to be aware of unusual behavior. It's really all we can do. My dad grew up on a farm and told me the time for concern is when animals, domesticated or not, refuse to eat. That's a sure sign something's wrong and can't be ignored. They eat only to survive so skipping meals won't take place.
This must have been such a scary time! I'm so glad he's ok now and to see him playing and jumping is such a relief. The get well cards from the children is so heart warming. And I must say that Cole looks quite fashionable with those shaved front legs 💞💞💞

I'm glad Cole is ok. When a cat doesn't eat and isn't interested in anything, it's scary. We had a sudden emergency visit to our vet before Christmas for one of our cats. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with renal failure. As of today, she is still with us, after staying 4-5 days at the vet twice. I honestly thought she would be gone by today (since she fell ill again after only 3 days at home after her first stay at the vet), but she is so strong and seems to have healed better than expected, she even developped an appetite (which is surprising from her) I was scared she would die before Christmas but she pulled through, same with the week before New Year. Our cat is some sort of wonderwoman (wondercat? :D ) We are keeping an eye on her, giving her medicine and proper dry food for her illness, but the vet warned my mom and I: she is not saved, she is barely on borrowed time and she could be gone soon. We are enjoying each day with her for as long as possible. My mom read some testimonials online about cats with the same thing living months and even years after the diagnosis. Let's just hope it will be her case as well. I hope Cole doesn't do you another fright, the more sudden it happens, the more stressful and scary it is. I'm sending lots of love your way!
My kitty has kidney disease as well, for about a year now since we found out. He's still doing quite well and expect him to stay on an even keel for a long time to come. However, things could change at any time and we have to accept that. I have to suggest to you, though, to take your baby off ALL dry food, regardless if it's for a renal diet. Kitties are obligate carnivores and should be eating raw meat (balanced with other nutrients they need). Never heard of wild cats eating kibble in the wild, right? They also don't get kidney disease in the wild as they don't eat the awful foods we give our babies. I feed my boy only canned wet foods (he went off the raw a while ago) with no grains (GMO or pesticides), carrageenan (cancer), BPA lined cans (cancer and endocrine disruptor). They still need protein to stay well. However, you can get phosphorous binders to put in the wet food if high protein is a problem which is the tendency for kidney kitties. I'm not doing that yet for my boy as his test values don't indicate an issue (knock wood) with protein, but will if/when it is. All store bought dry kibble is terrible for cats (and dogs) and causes all kinds of health problems. It should be banned forever, I think. Every nutrient it may have had is cooked and processed right out of it, then added back in with the fake flavorings, etc. Ick! Not too much different from a lot of processed human foods!? (sigh) No wonder there is an epidemic of illness in the human and pet populations. Hope your baby is doing well and stays with you as long as possible. Wishing you the best. My cat Pele, he too had renal failure 😔it was so sudden and me n my mum tried everything with our vets. They tried flushing his kidneys, but he just got worse😔 Sadly, we had to put him to sleep on 13Nov18. He was our big black cat, miss him a lot😔my cat Jewels who is a rescue we got in sept 2017, after we lost another cat prior, she still looks for Pele. It’s sad. It hurts xx
I feel so very sorrowful for all of you who have sick fur babies & for you who lost your fur-baby.😖 I have lost my beautiful, black & white, little lady kitty & I still grieve for her... She was very ill. She had been a rescue kitty from the local shelter. She was 12 yrs old when I adopted her. Because she was old, become deaf & had developed arthritis throughout her little skeleton & congestive heart disease her human family didn't want her any more.😫😭 But I did. I loved her so very much & gave her all the TLC & meds she was prescribed & the vet visits. I loved her so very much. Her name was Salem, which means peace; but I hated the connotation of the word Salem, so I renamed her the Hebrew word for peace: Shalom. She remained with me for 1.5 yrs & then God took her to be with Him in Heaven. So, I know your heartaches. I just wanted to tell you all that I feel your pain & I love all of your fur-babies too. May peace surround all of you & your furry loved ones, wherever they may be.💞💖💞😽🐾🐾
Glad to hear Cole is home and on the mend. I wasn't as lucky. Sadly I had to say good bye to my furbaby, Hazel, a few weeks ago. I also took her to the blue Pearl ER and, despite the difficult decision I was faced with, the staff were incredibly kind and compassionate. Here's wishing Cole a speedy recovery! 😺🐾💓
Just like with any child, a sudden onset of illness takes years off the lives of the Parents. Thank God/Goddess he's healthy and back where he belongs. Kiss his fuzzy little black head for me. 😽
Y’all are excellent parents and notice fast when one of the kitties is puny...... that right there is a MAJOR plus. And a huge part of getting treatment ..... on the road to recovery. Look at Marm checking Cole out..... so sweet. And the tree in the cage made me laugh. We all want to be kept in the loop on your marvelous fur babies..... we appreciate it so much! A similar thing happened to my aunt’s cat. We believe it’s was a poinsettia plant, but not sure. He was fine after a few days. Glad Cole is doing well.
Thank God! Your special boy is doing better! I had to laugh at Marmalade's un-welcoming of his Bro. When they "smell different", from the hospital, the other resident cats are somehow apauled! Hope they all got over it soon enough!
*Cole* being ill had me bothered, but thanks to the Vets at he'll make a good recovery. It was great to see him laying down happily inside a box (Cats can't resist boxes), and purring at the end of the video. Great work to everyone at *BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Hospital* fur helping out a very beloved cat, and fur bringing joy to his loving family of Hoomans, and fellow cats.

I am so happy in your case it was a false alarm. The pain we feel when a loved one passes on is the price we pay for the joy and love we felt when they were with us. I know this from experience. IT's NOT EASY.

We've never had a proper Xmas tree in ages. 3 more cats have been added to our menagerie since our 1st rescue - Cleopatra in 2009 & all in varying ages that I've pretty much given up on having a full size tree, trimmings & all. When my wife and i lived in nortb carolina wr were going to head out that afternoon and come back to Ohio. She had to work till noon so i was alone with 2 Manx cats. I came out of the bedroom and could see my female (Shithead, a name she earned her given name was Jones) sitting on the couch. I looked around for her brother (same parents different litters), Hozer but couldn't find him. Finally i looked towards the window which was on the other side of the tree. While i was looking something took shape in the tree. It was Hozer sitting about 3/4 of the way up in the tree. Without thinking i said his name and he thought he was in trouble so he jumped out of the tree. Unfortunately a strand of garland caught around his chest and the farther he went you could see the garland tightening around the tree. Before he touched the floor, down came the tree. Which scared both of them. It was a bizarre day. It was like they knew they were gonna be in carriers for several hours and they wanted to burn off energy. For the rest of the day it was like it was their mission to wreck the house. They did a good job. They knocked over the tree again, a rocking chair and managed to remove all the plants my wife had on top of our console TV. They had fun, i had to clean up and finish packing. They were two of the best cats I've ever been around. They both lived to be 16. Sadly they both passed when we weren't home. Shithead went on an Easter Sunday while we were at a family gathering and Hozer passed on the 4th of July while we were at the fireworks. I miss both dearly.

This made me so sad but I am happy Cole is better. I remembered what happened to a kitty of mine, a neighbor had set out bits of poison for all the mice in our area and the cats wouldn't eat the poison but we did have one eat a mouse that had just ate some. It made her very sick and we first thought it was just a kitty cold. Soon her symptoms spiraled out of control and she got very sick. The vet in our small town wouldn't see her without appoint and she passed away. I still miss her but I know she's still there with me. But now I'm able to help other kitties and keep that from ever happening again
I'm so sorry for your loss. If you kept your cat indoors only and she was still exposed to the mouse, then you really couldn't have done anything differently.
Your vet should never turn you away like that due to scheduling- they should give you the option of working you in around the other appointments or emergency care. I am surprised they actually had the nerve to turn you away. At my job, I. 99 percent of cases it is unacceptable to turn someone away without working them into our vet schedule or offering them an appointment at our other locations or even a drop off exam.
My cat Tom some times had what our vet would describe as 24 hour cat flu. This sounds like what Cole might have gotten. It always had us worried when Tom acted funny.
Oh, what a lovely ending... his purr... but have tears running down my cheeks. I just couldn't help but start crying when it was revealed he was not eating and was acting lethargic. I just know Cole from your videos--and am deeply affected. I wish him and you and all the kitties there well, ultra-well. Happy new year and a continuing long, long life to beautiful Cole.
Glad Cole recovered quickly! Our kitty had something similar, was eventually diagnosed with 'fever of unknown origin' which I later found out is very common with kitties :)
My black cat didn't eat either and had a smell out of the mouth, we brought him to the vet where he died a day later.. for some mysterious reason all the blood in his body disappeared. Thankfully you did the right thing and brought Cole to the vet as soon as possible.. :) black cats are precious. ❤
So good to see him playing and hear those gorgeous purrs. Is there a more soothing sound than purring? His shaved legs are so skinny under all that glossy fluff. Do the vets know what was wrong?

Awwwwwww that would drive me nuts. I'd NEED to know what had happened so I knew how to treat/prevent it in future! Poor Cole! Glad he's better now. When Lilith came home from the vet after being spayed shadow was hissing at her because she was full of drugs and must have smelled weird. poor Lilith. I stayed with her for two days making sure she was comfy and warm and fed and safe and happy.

This reminds me of when my cat went to an animal hospital, and his legs had been shaved too. He looked like a poodle. However, he also had back legs shaved too, because his veins were very hard to draw blood from. Anyways, I'm very glad Cole's doing better!

One of my cats passed away on December, 29th after months fighting against a renal infection that eventually lead to kidney failure. He was named Todi. It was the sweetest cat I've ever found and owned and I've rescued hundreds till now.
I'm glad Cole is okay.
They're with us such a short time. I like to think we get to see them again in heaven. My kitty friend made it to 21 - too short a time, but so precious.

My cat also had a mystery illness. High fever, hiding from people, then completely listless. Trip to emergency vet, ultrasound, all kinds of testing, including sending blood to the Vet university here in Colorado. The vet gave him two types of antibiotics and fluids. They sent me home with him and he laid there and looked like he was going to die. He came out of it about a week later. They never found anything conclusive. About 2 years later he got it again. This time, I took him to my regular vet and they just gave him antibiotics and one of those fluid bumps they put under the skin and sent me home with him. About 4 days later, again, he came out of it. That was about 3 years ago now. I just pray it doesn't happen again. It's very scary.

Same with our Hootie. We had to take him to Emergency, listless, with a scary high fever. After all sorts of tests, they never did come to a diagnosis. Hoot also had two antibiotics, fluids, and was scary lethargic for also about a week. That was 10 years ago, and so far, so good. Hope you kitty is still doing well

If Cole's fur is anything like my Shane's(they're practically twins from different moms), it is also the softest fur you will ever feel on a kitty! Just amazingly soft and silky.
Omg I love how he was wagging his tail! Normally dogs do that in happiness and cats when mad. You could clearly see Cole was very happy. 😊 How cute that was!🥰🥰🥰
I lost my little buddy, Peanut, this fall after having her around for 18 years.....I sure miss her. I find myself talking to her, seeing her where she used to be, going to get cat food for no reason, and feeling empty. Keep Cole going and give him love.
I wish my cat was better too but... He died right before christmas... We got to the vet 7 times he got medicine and all that stuff... And i woke up got down stairs and gave him a hug and then he passed away in my arms...😭 i still mis him so much because he was my buddy and he understanded me we had a conection we were born on the same day too!

I am so sorry you lost your fur friend. Actually, they are family. I lost my best kitty friend 4 yrs ago & it hurt tremendously. Neither of us was ready for him to go so I can understand how you must be feeling. It's so hard to lose them & I still think about my boy daily. But I do believe that He's waiting for me on the other side as is yours waiting for you. I really do believe that we will see them again. Much love & hugs to you.

I know what it feels like I know a dog is not a cat🙄 but someone took my 5 week old 🐶 dog🤒🤒🤒🤒😓😓😥😥😰😰🤭🤭😨😨😱still to this day I cry and I also left two wild cats behind In Florida it hurt more than hitting my head on the walls but the two cats weren’t mine they were my neighbors but they always came to our house to play still this day I cannot forget all of them and I still cry 😢 and at least your cat is in a better place and will be waiting for you stay strong 💪🏻 always stay strong!😪
The title sent me running to see what happened - so glad Cole is okay, only sorry they couldn't find out what made him ill. Two years ago my sweet Cricket became ill out of nowhere, and it was a heart condition. The vet said she had six months at most with daily meds and frequent vet visits. I couldn't do that to her. She purred in my arms while I said goodbye... and now I'm crying again. Long life to you, Cole!

We just have to be aware of unusual behavior. It's really all we can do. My dad grew up on a farm and told me the time for concern is when animals, domesticated or not, refuse to eat. That's a sure sign something's wrong and can't be ignored. They eat only to survive so skipping meals won't take place.

This must have been such a scary time! I'm so glad he's ok now and to see him playing and jumping is such a relief. The get well cards from the children is so heart warming. And I must say that Cole looks quite fashionable with those shaved front legs 💞💞💞

I'm glad Cole is ok. When a cat doesn't eat and isn't interested in anything, it's scary.
We had a sudden emergency visit to our vet before Christmas for one of our cats. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with renal failure. As of today, she is still with us, after staying 4-5 days at the vet twice. I honestly thought she would be gone by today (since she fell ill again after only 3 days at home after her first stay at the vet), but she is so strong and seems to have healed better than expected, she even developped an appetite (which is surprising from her) I was scared she would die before Christmas but she pulled through, same with the week before New Year. Our cat is some sort of wonderwoman (wondercat? :D )
We are keeping an eye on her, giving her medicine and proper dry food for her illness, but the vet warned my mom and I: she is not saved, she is barely on borrowed time and she could be gone soon. We are enjoying each day with her for as long as possible. My mom read some testimonials online about cats with the same thing living months and even years after the diagnosis. Let's just hope it will be her case as well.
I hope Cole doesn't do you another fright, the more sudden it happens, the more stressful and scary it is. I'm sending lots of love your way!
My kitty has kidney disease as well, for about a year now since we found out. He's still doing quite well and expect him to stay on an even keel for a long time to come. However, things could change at any time and we have to accept that. I have to suggest to you, though, to take your baby off ALL dry food, regardless if it's for a renal diet. Kitties are obligate carnivores and should be eating raw meat (balanced with other nutrients they need). Never heard of wild cats eating kibble in the wild, right? They also don't get kidney disease in the wild as they don't eat the awful foods we give our babies. I feed my boy only canned wet foods (he went off the raw a while ago) with no grains (GMO or pesticides), carrageenan (cancer), BPA lined cans (cancer and endocrine disruptor). They still need protein to stay well. However, you can get phosphorous binders to put in the wet food if high protein is a problem which is the tendency for kidney kitties. I'm not doing that yet for my boy as his test values don't indicate an issue (knock wood) with protein, but will if/when it is. All store bought dry kibble is terrible for cats (and dogs) and causes all kinds of health problems. It should be banned forever, I think. Every nutrient it may have had is cooked and processed right out of it, then added back in with the fake flavorings, etc. Ick! Not too much different from a lot of processed human foods!? (sigh) No wonder there is an epidemic of illness in the human and pet populations. Hope your baby is doing well and stays with you as long as possible. Wishing you the best. Sadly, we had to put him to sleep on 13Nov18. He was our big black cat, miss him a lot😔my cat Jewels who is a rescue we got in sept 2017, after we lost another cat prior, she still looks for Pele. It’s sad. It hurts xx

She was very ill. She had been a rescue kitty from the local shelter. She was 12 yrs old when I adopted her.
Because she was old, become deaf & had developed arthritis throughout her little skeleton & congestive heart disease her human family didn't want her any more.😫😭
But I did.
I loved her so very much & gave her all the TLC & meds she was prescribed & the vet visits.
I loved her so very much. Her name was Salem, which means peace; but I hated the connotation of the word Salem, so I renamed her the Hebrew word for peace: Shalom.
She remained with me for 1.5 yrs & then God took her to be with Him in Heaven.
So, I know your heartaches.
I just wanted to tell you all that I feel your pain & I love all of your fur-babies too.
May peace surround all of you & your furry loved ones, wherever they may be.💞💖💞😽🐾🐾
Glad to hear Cole is home and on the mend. I wasn't as lucky. Sadly I had to say good bye to my furbaby, Hazel, a few weeks ago. I also took her to the blue Pearl ER and, despite the difficult decision I was faced with, the staff were incredibly kind and compassionate. Here's wishing Cole a speedy recovery! 😺🐾💓

Y’all are excellent parents and notice fast when one of the kitties is puny...... that right there is a MAJOR plus. And a huge part of getting treatment ..... on the road to recovery. A similar thing happened to my aunt’s cat. We believe it’s was a poinsettia plant, but not sure. He was fine after a few days. Glad Cole is doing well.

*Cole* being ill had me bothered, but thanks to the Vets at he'll make a good recovery. When my wife and i lived in nortb carolina wr were going to head out that afternoon and come back to Ohio. She had to work till noon so i was alone with 2 Manx cats. I came out of the bedroom and could see my female (Shithead, a name she earned her given name was Jones) sitting on the couch. I looked around for her brother (same parents different litters), Hozer but couldn't find him. Finally i looked towards the window which was on the other side of the tree. While i was looking something took shape in the tree. It was Hozer sitting about 3/4 of the way up in the tree. Without thinking i said his name and he thought he was in trouble so he jumped out of the tree. Unfortunately a strand of garland caught around his chest and the farther he went you could see the garland tightening around the tree. Before he touched the floor, down came the tree. Which scared both of them.
It was a bizarre day. It was like they knew they were gonna be in carriers for several hours and they wanted to burn off energy.
For the rest of the day it was like it was their mission to wreck the house. They did a good job. They knocked over the tree again, a rocking chair and managed to remove all the plants my wife had on top of our console TV.
They had fun, i had to clean up and finish packing. They were two of the best cats I've ever been around. They both lived to be 16. Sadly they both passed when we weren't home.
Shithead went on an Easter Sunday while we were at a family gathering and Hozer passed on the 4th of July while we were at the fireworks. I miss both dearly.

This made me so sad but I am happy Cole is better. I remembered what happened to a kitty of mine, a neighbor had set out bits of poison for all the mice in our area and the cats wouldn't eat the poison but we did have one eat a mouse that had just ate some. It made her very sick and we first thought it was just a kitty cold. Soon her symptoms spiraled out of control and she got very sick. The vet in our small town wouldn't see her without appoint and she passed away. I still miss her but I know she's still there with me. But now I'm able to help other kitties and keep that from ever happening again
I'm so sorry for your loss. If you kept your cat indoors only and she was still exposed to the mouse, then you really couldn't have done anything differently.
Your vet should never turn you away like that due to scheduling- they should give you the option of working you in around the other appointments or emergency care. I am surprised they actually had the nerve to turn you away. At my job, I. 99 percent of cases it is unacceptable to turn someone away without working them into our vet schedule or offering them an appointment at our other locations or even a drop off exam.

My cat Tom some times had what our vet would describe as 24 hour cat flu. This sounds like what Cole might have gotten. It always had us worried when Tom acted funny.
Oh, what a lovely ending... his purr... but have tears running down my cheeks. I just couldn't help but start crying when it was revealed he was not eating and was acting lethargic. I just know Cole from your videos--and am deeply affected. I wish him and you and all the kitties there well, ultra-well. Happy new year and a continuing long, long life to beautiful Cole.

Glad Cole recovered quickly! Our kitty had something similar, was eventually diagnosed with 'fever of unknown origin' which I later found out is very common with kitties :)

Pretty much like children, indeed... "It is/was a virus", doctors tell you, without even knowing what freaking bug got your baby.
My black cat didn't eat either and had a smell out of the mouth, we brought him to the vet where he died a day later.. for some mysterious reason all the blood in his body disappeared. Thankfully you did the right thing and brought Cole to the vet as soon as possible.. :) black cats are precious. ❤

Awwwwwww that would drive me nuts. I'd NEED to know what had happened so I knew how to treat/prevent it in future! Poor Cole! Glad he's better now. When Lilith came home from the vet after being spayed shadow was hissing at her because she was full of drugs and must have smelled weird. poor Lilith. I stayed with her for two days making sure she was comfy and warm and fed and safe and happy.

This reminds me of when my cat went to an animal hospital, and his legs had been shaved too. He looked like a poodle. However, he also had back legs shaved too, because his veins were very hard to draw blood from. Anyways, I'm very glad Cole's doing better!
