  • Here is a new iteration of the Hydrogen Combustion Generator.
    This is the same engine that has been seen in the past but with the new Hydrogen Carburetor, Correct ignition timing of 'top dead center' and a simple air intake water cooling method.

    Feel free to contact me on the 'Hydrogen Guys' Facebook page for the Hydrogen Flashback Arrestor used in this video

    I tip my hat off to you Sirs for working on uncharted territory. Years ago I tinkered around with vapor gas engines. What I found were two things that would bone you. One, the valve timing has a few degrees of overlap. This will cause an explosion which will tear an engine up big time. The second was the timing. When electronic ignitions came to be standard one has no real idea as to how the timing is actually being fired. I tried five different ignition assemblies and each had a diffrent timing advance and movement on base timing. I do not remember the baseline float in degrees but do recall it varied way to much unlike the points and condenser which is mechanically fixed.
    Good luck with you video adventure too. vf

      That’s really interesting, Thankyou for the insight. I will be looking into ignition timing more, this engine was set to 0 degrees top dead centre ignition timing, which is safe not not very efficient from a power stand point.
      More work to be done :)
      Glad you enjoyed the video and Thankyou for the support

    Exhaust gas recycling reminds me of GEET by Paul Pantone. He got awesome results using his device as catalyst of not only exhaust but also fuell going into engine. Maybe it helps 😉👍🏼

    • @creatingawareness1947
      @creatingawareness1947 9 місяців тому +2

      I also learned that adding ammonia to fuell, gets rid of Nox particles. Ever seen the bendall thunderstorm generator? Malcolm Bendall claims he can get rid of carbon in the exhaust by ionising the air before it enters the engine. Letting the ionised air thru airstone in water to make cavitating bubbles with the vacuum pressures on the inlet of the engine. This proces forms plasmoid structures that cleanup the exhaust gasses. He got 20%oxygen from his exhaust and no carbon. 😆😅😳 Also very interesting to look into. 😉

    I haven't seen your other video. Have you take account for wasted spark. This kind of engine has a magneto which fires at TDC and BDC. This is not a problem for the engine running on gasoline but will play havoc with hydrogen.

    • @Hydrogenguys
      @Hydrogenguys  Рік тому

      Hi, the wasted spark system is a pain to work with, you can actually see it backfiring in the video out of the intake port, thankfully it’s okay when the engine it operating at 1k rpm or more.

    Hey could you go more in depth as to how the carbuerator is modified!? And the timing changed!? I have a Yamaha 5000 watt gen that just needs a few mods apparently and all I need is it to run stable rpm(not like a sport bike lol) without blowing up basically.. so if you feel like that methodology can be shared I would much appreciate it 😅

    Can I ask a question would using a Diesel engine be better because of the stronger head and the tolerance’s are tighter from firing on compression?? Would that help ??

    • @Hydrogenguys
      @Hydrogenguys  7 місяців тому +1

      Thanks for the comment, yes that would be ideal, when running hydrogen gas in a combustion engine the compression ration can be increased to claw back some power. Not sure about the compression igntion but somthing to look into for sure.

  • @SunHarvest
    @SunHarvest 5 місяців тому +1

    Without water hydrogen detonation causes an implosion. Do you think the pistons are driven by implosions?
    When water is added the heat from the detonation is tuned into explosions because the water expands into steam?

    • @Hydrogenguys
      @Hydrogenguys  4 місяці тому +2

      Still combustion not an implosion,
      The spark it triggers at TDC so the piston is forced down, if there is an implosion the combustion pressure still overpowers it, or the engine wouldn’t run.
      Extra power is potentially added from the water cooling being turned to steam. But it’s really there to reduce the hot spots in the engine.

    • @Hydrogenguys
      @Hydrogenguys  Рік тому

      Hi, from some basic calculations it looks like it was around 9.5LPM, not amazing but something that can be worked on to improve, for efficiency it’s safe to say fuel injection is the way to go. These engines I have made are just working examples of low cost engines without fuel injection.
