  • You get Propane, LPG, CNG and Butane Tanks and appliances very cheap. So you can start using Hydrogen from excess solar directly.
Therefor I talk about Thermodynamics and safety stuff.

I did make my own generator but I need a way to control it what I mean I wanna use it for example as a fire or heat to warm up the place in the winter how are you gonna control it for that use without saving it I just need to use it at daily fresh

I built a hydrogen generator and have been looking into storage options. My thoughts were to use a propane tank at low pressures. Are you storing your hydrogen in a compressed natural gas tank, are you using a liquid gas tank or are you using a special hydrogen cylinder? I don't know if I have access to any special cylinders in this area.

Very interesting material. I have been watching your materials for two years. I created my own version of the hydrogen system. Uses 4 PEM generators, production 600ml/min H2. I built water buffers, dehumidifiers, filters. The hydrogen used stores up to 5 bar. I wonder how you managed to burn hydrogen. My stove reached a maximum of 98 degrees Celsius while trying to boil 1 liter of water. I suspect the hydrogen pressure was too low because my system was not keeping up with production relative to consumption. Regards

I'm also wondering about the type of material for the burner. Under the slow-motion recordings, I can see penetrations of not only the orange flame, but also the blue one, which would indicate that oxygen has entered the mixture or that oxides are present as a result of the combustion of the burner materials.

Nice! Is your electrolyzer PEM or alkaline ? 12 liters of H2 in 4 minutes is a lot, if I understood that correctly. 3 LPM? So, regarding using excess solar energy to produce hydrogen, I have a question about that. If you are using a PEM electrolyzer, I read somewhere that excess cycles will degrade the electrolyzer. Every time the voltage drops to below 1.3V per cell and then back up, it's considered another cycle and slightly degrades the SPE. Do you know if this is true?

Thanks for this interesting question. My PEM supplier promises 40.000 hours more than 5 years until the first refreshment.

@@volks-electrolyzer You're welcome. 40k hours would be nice! I hope I get that with mine. Do you notice a slightly unpleasant odor in your water-gas separator (cathode side)? Someone told me it could mean cell damage but I don't know how that could be because I circulate the water properly and never exceeded 1.9v per cell. Maybe that smell is normal?

@ChristmasEve777 I recond bad smell with Aem hydrogen. But maybe it was also the old storage with old water ingres. No smell by now, but keep you posted. Odorizing will be an important chapter. Your system sound interesting. If you wanna share some insight, you are welcome to leave a comment under the international h2 pricelist v-electrolyzer.de/en/international-hydrogen-price-list/
