Whole set is to a click, you can see Jens tapping the mic in time with his in ears before the song starts. It’s really damn impressive, they put on such an amazing live show
@@tambian89 I never look down-upon any band that relies upon a click. Not that you do, but that it’s really a sacrifice on their part. They way they hear the performance compared to the audience must be torture after a while. Nonetheless, they’re legends for doing what’s necessary to be air-tight.
@@snail415 I get you and same - I actually think it's more difficult playing to the click live, far moreso than in the studio where you can do multiple takes, even with the live sound engineers they probably have.

As someone who has been skipping Bleed whenever I’m listening to Obzen, I can honestly say it’s probably one of the most important pieces of music of our time. It will be remembered forever.
Seen them in Cincinnati and it blew my fucking mind. You’ll never experience anything like a meshuggah show. Up front too. I hope to catch them many more times, sad part is seeing as to how old they are I don’t know how many more tours or albums they have left in them
Many. Dont ask me how i know. But he said they dont want to end as long as they have good health and energy to go on with touring and make music. And they are. I happend to know him!
This is what I imagine primordial hyperspace sounded like when universes spontaneously started existing. Primal intensity that words actually can’t describe but I did my best.
I’ve been a fan since ‘99. I couldn’t be happier or prouder of these guys. They (and Devin Townsend) have made the last 25 years a real listening joy. Glad they’re still slappin’ bitches on a nightly basis.
As someone who spent 5 months to be able to play this half-decently on guitar, the fact all 5 of these guys can STILL play this song in perfect sync seems downright inhuman
I’m glad metal has Meshugga Cattle Decapitation, and cannibal corpse I’m not the biggest fan of Meshugga but, their live abilities and quality breed a culture of bands that want to continue that same trend. This song is ridiculous. What makes it worse is how they always find a slightly different pocket to sit in every time they do it live…. The song is an absurd idea. The record version was intense. Yet I still seek out live versions, hard to say about any modern metal acts frankly
I'm not a fan at all of Meshuggah's music (trust me, I've tried for many years, don't bother 😉), but I truly appreciate the love and respect their legion of fans give them.
Ain’t no way a band this big doesn’t play with a click going on in their ear monitors. Doesn’t take away the talent it takes to pull this off. I know musicians who cant play for shit with a click going
Pretty sure the band is wearing in-ear monitors with a metronome counting in the song. Notice the singer tapping his mic a few beats before the rest of the band comes in.
This band would be unbeatable and super badass more than they are if they only had a good singer front man or at least one you can understand a single word
There will never be another Meshuggah, nor an equal.
amen
Give it up for Tomas's calves dude.
52 years old, crazy
I saw once a comment about this track like "It's 2007 song and still sounds like it's from the future" :)
listen to elastic, feels like 2040.
Gonna be a long time before that statement loses any truth
Holy SHIT this sounds perfect. Its incredible how such a difficult song like this gets performed this flawlessly.
At night’s end!
This was my same exact thought! The last time I saw them was about 20 years ago, and my god they are even better now, they age like fine wine

The concentration on Fredrik’s face. Tightest band I’ve ever seen live. Ridiculous.
This is reallife mad scientist material, absolutely insane.
Man this is like oxygen
Imagine Metallica being as tight as this, O man. Meshuggah is sooo next level. Jesus christ.....
I could imagine Hetfield playing this tbh... not Lars though 😅
Been hearing this same thing over and over since early mid 80's. Not impressed by any measure.
Metallica has better catchier songs still though. And justice is better then any monotone meshuggah album by far.
