as a bass player that is obsessed with learning tool songs this is extremely helpful and awsome
I love playing tool songs on drums. We should start a cover band.
My pleasure. Enjoy.
@@LOD365 Location? Guitar and Bass jamming 20 Tool songs over here in Los Angeles
Keep going bro
@@salbirealtyinc6750 Damn. No I live on the east coast. I guess this isn’t happening. I have a monster Tama Artstar II in birdseye maple, all top shelf cymbals and hardware and special effects. Been playing since 1989 too. I don’t mess around. Been looking for guys like you literally for decades.
At this point, people are purposely turning their light on cuz they want Maynard to poop in their mouths.
LMFAO 😂
Chewy.
Reading this before the video made me ponder, after watching i finally get it but like?? context
I don't think Maynard actually cares that much either lol, he just leans into it because he knows fans that don't take him too seriously just think it's funny when he acts like a dick.
10:54 that shit is absurd 😂
This is absolutely amazing
Absurd...yet I can't look away....
I like how it shows it as the most replayed part of the video.
it bends the spacetime tissue
wow
Mad respect for sacrificing your experience in order to film this. This is as great as it can be for someone who couldn't witness this magic in person. Cheers mate!
Thank you. Sacrificed the dancing and vibing we did prior to this song but in return I have a forever memory I can summon, see, and hear clearly over and over again for the rest of my life.
@@surfmiami100% agree with you. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I saw them on 2/07 in ELmPaso, Tx, but they did not include Schism on that setlist
6:30 This moment is intense. Him pitching down the wah-pedal and then the slight string scrape with echo and reverb creates so much atmosphere. Justin's contribution to soundscapes within the band is just awesome to see. And that look he gives after, holy shit.
Never knew that part was played by the bass. Thought it was some studio effect
I must look up his live set up, was he turning off the individual pedals there at the end of that part? Many these days would have patches or something set up for that?
10:54 is pretty intense too💀
@@NewPraetorianBluesand here I was thinking it was still going to be during the song but when they stopped playing and the camera turned around I was like WTF that was nuts. I see why she'd want to be that close to the stage. Danny's shirt was hilarious wonder if he noticed her.
Always thought it was a volume pedal, but clearly he’s doing the volume swells the old fashioned way! 👏👏👏
This might of the best fan live videos I’ve ever seen! Thank you!
Thanks brother. I do it as a memory keepsake and for others to enjoy.
Hell yeah!
You are right
+1. Sick
Thanks for this! What a great experience. I was above at the front of the first balcony. They were stellar seats, but SO cool to see it up close here! ✌️
Tool is the best of all time so much talent and no other band can even come close to there talent
Obviously you haven’t listened to fall out boy
Justin's bass tone, especially in the low end, is so good
That’s the Wal bass. Nothing sounds quite like them. It’s a bass you pair with a nice Lagavulin 25.
The low, the high, the mid, the mid high, the mid low, yeeeoooowwwww!!!!!
Man I love this band!!!!
Anyone who is incapable of turning their flashlight off when requested does not deserve to be at a Tool show
Or to be alive
Cold comfort, but Tool fans are getting old
F tool with that bs
Simple request. Just follow it. When I saw them last week there were a few people who still wouldn’t listen 🙄
Sweet comment joe p.
I love tool. I saw them for the first time when I was like 14. Now I am 40 and I saw Tool in 2024 in Dallas .. this music has carried me and been alongside me for most of the most meaningful moments in my life. Thank you for bringing truly good music to the world
Danny still blows my mind! Even at the age of 60 whatever he is so tight and powerful. Incredibile!!!
Seeing and hearing Justin's extremely distinct bass line live in HD is something incredible, but Danny is the one that always made everyone listen on repeat for hours.
Danny is by far the best drummer alive! How a guy can play a 33 piece drum set and sound that crisp and clean just amazes me.
Age is just a number, young pup
As a drummer, watching Danny play up close like this is amazing! Thanks for the video.
I'm not a drummer and I can't not watch that guy.
Mate have you watched the Pneuma video. It's superb.
@@shaunbrennan5882 I have and it's simply ridiculous. That guy is SO good.
@@shaunbrennan5882 I have and it's simply ridiculous. That guy is SO good.
Same. He’s the goat
Bro this video is a holy gift, the quality of the audio, the video, the Best fan video that I ever seen in my whole life 😅
Most bands have musicians. Tool have 4 instruments and 4 composers. It's not music, it's an experience. For their records you need good headphones to appriciate it. As for live show, its a completely different experience!
What an incredibly beautiful song. So cool seeing Justin play it up close. Very moving piece.
Paaahh. Moving piece!!?? You mean a heavy banger! Said with my pinky out
I first saw Tool at Lalapalozza in 1993 just before they hit superstardome. Tool didn't play the main stage yet. They played in the middle of the day. Maynard was friendly and joking around with the audience.
I was at this show. This was my first time seeing TOOL live. I have been wanting to see them live since I was 14, I am 28 now and both my inner teen and outer adult were so happy.
Bet that was orgasmic then....
Turn the fucking phone off and enjoy the show.
you picked a good one

Polska pozdrawia ,mam 44 lata Tool usłyszałem w wieku 13 lat, ta muzyka zmieniła mnie na zawsze .....
10:53 Lmaooooo!!
Yeeeeaaahhhh….what in the HELL was that?
good grief!
FUN BAGS
That's a walking back pain and a half!
The lady just should put T and L cut out at her sides , and it will do the rest xD
I've seen Tool half a dozen times, seen countless live videos and I know they like to do this... but that middle section jam/variation caught me by surprise and put a smile on my face :)
I know right!? I haven't had the opportunity to see them but that part right there was AMAZING. What a wonder to hear those instruments roar.
There is so much substance to Justins bass playing. Def one of my all time favorites. Such a grooving creator.
I literally have panic attacks thinking of the day they stop making music. After my 3 kids Tool comes next in my ❤ 🤘
So gut...nach über 10 Jahren des ersten Hörens bin ich wieder total begeistert. Solch musikalische Perfektion und Expression.. Superb!!
I watched this whole video but i had to stop at 10:54. My breath was taken away. The freaking knockers on that woman. JEZZZUS. Bent space and time with those.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
5:52 one of the best fan shot moments I've seen. Thanks for the vid. Saw them in Ireland in 2022 and they were locked in, seems like they're only getting better as this tour goes on. The shot of Justin playing as the confetti fals is also brilliant. Hope they carry this current energy into the studio soon.
i was at that concert too!! ireland on top
My heart was fucking throbbing watching DC on the drums, definitely one of the best fan PoV shots on this platform, ever.
Awesome. Tool upclose is whole other level experience
I've seen them on the floor super close, and I've seen them in the nose bleeds. I actually prefer the nose bleeds because you can see all the lights and visuals going with the music. Both are totally bad ass though.
No matter where you’re sitting, these guys are crazy good live. Floor of course is better 😂However lower level or even upper level isn’t bad cause you get to take in the visual aspect of the show which is insane. Either way you’re blown away 🤘
Maynard kills it and he is almost in his 60s, what a voice
He kills people's ears because he fucking sucks.
@@officialmetalwill well not sure why you're here then
thank you for paying for those front row tickets and filming that. It was awesome.
Such a brilliant video! Thank you! I've listened to Tool since 1999 but didn't get to see them live until last year (2023) was shocked to find I was one of the eldest in the audience. Long live Tool! ❤️
haha awesome, I hope I can catch them in Uk at the end of May. Not much chances as tickets are quite a lot which being triple would be worth it but I'm unemployed atm. Worse time ever, Wish I was during Covid not now...
This is seriously the best fan video I’ve ever seen of this. Being able to really watch Justin absolutely destroy this song was great.
Thank you for sharing this. I’ve never seen anything this close before.
Probably the best concert footage I’ve seen of TOOL yet, good job!!!
Maynard's resting state of misanthropic aggression is hilarious, still sending out verbal punches to audience members even after they've begun a song, almost like he can't contain his excitement at the opportunity to verbally attack people at random. Good stuff.
That’s why we love him
because he's an idiot
Yeah all that fancy word salad is great but the lead singer idiot comes of like a whiney teenage girl 😂
Maynard? Dude that’s Dave Grohl
He is an asshat egomaniac but ok keep lapping at his nuts
Wat a BAND !!❤❤❤❤
No words necessary. Just beeing thankful for these Guys and their musical genius Creativity
One of the greatest videos ever filmed. Thank you
Thank you! I love this band and their music.
I seen them at United Center last year. Whole set was great. Was blown away on how loud Justin’s bass sound was yet still clean to hear every detail, you felt it in your chest lol. Absolutely one of the best shows I’ve ever been to.
All of them so talented. Every song is a masterpiece. Not to mention that set looked fucking awesome.
Lucky you to be that close to the stage and Justin himself. Dude's an incredible bassist and one of my bass player idols. On top of that he's a real good guy from what I've seen and heard
He's not leaving is he? Or do they hug him at the end of every show?
VERY, solid filming! I've seen them 14 times (3 front row) and have never been able to keep a camera stable let alone my whole existence! Great vid!
ive never seen tool live this well
What an amazing upload. Thank you so much for recording this. Next month in Amsterdam. 💪
The TOOL Music Is Amazing Poetry
The TOOL Fans Are…..TOTAL TOOLS
first time i seen Tool was in the early 90s at Ozzfest in St Louis...they are still one of the best live concerts that you can see
10:54 Holy shit. 😂
I mean, they are BIG
some wild fakies
i was hopping for this hahahahaha
I saw those and immediately checked the comments, lol.
whats her @ though
If you have ever been to a live Tool concert it's amazing how well Maynard's voice resonates
I know the pieces fit
Cause I watched them fall away
Just wanna say Danny is a legend man, always jaw dropping when I see him play. It’s ethereal
I was there in 205. No bad seats in the house. A mind-blowing performance!
205 is quite early in the history of this band. I'm a bit jealous..
Couldnt make the show in my city due to having small kids at home, this *almost* makes up for it. Thanks for an awesome video
What a powerful song
Only what? 12 more years til the next album? Fantastic band. Thank You for posting this video! Best Regards and Best Wishes!
TOOL has got to be the next band to perform at The Sphere...
I was at the Charlotte show, such a beautiful musical experience seeing tool live.
Great vid. Thank you for your service.
my son and I seen them in Biloxi
excellent performance !!!!
Great video!
DUDE this is huge! love that you captured this moment such an awesome concert! “it means we get to come down there and shit in your mouth…. now i gotta come down there and shit in your mouth!” love you all thanks for your amazing taste in music
I'm seeing them next Monday in Denver! It'll be my eighth show. The quality of this video, especially getting to see Justin's bass work is fantastic.
Maynard fucking around on purpose over the intro so the boys can experiment freely without being afraid of ruining a great take. What a Gentleman.
Love this band. Hooked since 1997.
Thanks for that video. Great quality and awesome sound !
Wow, what a great video. I have never seen one this clear again great video!
Best most talented and amazing band in the world!!!!
Talk about awesome that you go to film this from the front row! Way cool! Thank you, and Thank you to Tool for an awesome performance!
You have no idea what it was like in the 90's front row with Tricky...I still get goose bumps 🤘🎩
🤘🏼 glad you had a great time! Living vicariously through you.
They make it look easy.
Dat bass wersh killer 🤘
Amazing footage 😊 thanks for posting
Wow!!! What an incredible video! I have been to 12 Tool shows over the years. And they never disappoint! Always an experience and this video made me feel like I was right back there at the show! Taking it all in. The video background, the light show, the laser show... The absolute, insane, mind blowing experience that is a Tool show! And the crazy thing is... I don't even need drugs or alcohol at a Tool show to take me on a journey through sound, visuals, and energy!
THANK YOU!! For filming this so close and just an amazing watch to feel that energy even through my computer screen!!! #TOOLARMY
Come back to Australia PLEASE!!!! 11 years is too long to wait already!
Such total precision in every thing they do. Makes it look so easy
I was there too ! phenomenal show ! Thanks for posting !
The slow part of schism from the beginning of the buildup through to the vocal melody is the best moment in Tool's career. So magnificent...
One of the coolest bands of all time
Amazing footage! Thanks for uploading!!
casi nunca he podido encontrar videos en vivo de TOOL de esta calidad, gracias por compartir!
De nada. Gracias a ti. :)
Excellent quick, both audio and video. Thanks for sharing!
I love the communication they have!
Such an amazing band!
Thank you for uploading this. Incredible.
I wonder why the replays spike so high at that....OH MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS!
Yeah I was looking to see if it was like a fake chest or something, but nah it’s just Florida.
Damn, thank you for this up close video! Seen them twice, it wasn’t a concert. It was def an experience
Best group of musicians ever!!! No one like them before or now.
Don’t forget Rush. But yeah, I’d say it’s about a tie.
Incredible footage, thank you!
This is the best of the best! So many thanks
Thank you dude. This is the best fan video ever!!!!
Excellent video I was on the floor 10 rows back from you. Great show and great video. Thank you!!
Great footage thanks!
That was awesome, thanks for uploading it.
Fantastic quality omg ❤
thanks for sharing this breathtaking experience
Insane quality, thank you.
God bless you! Thank you for this video
I fucking love Tool. In my opinion they are in the top 5 best bands of all time. I am extremely happy to know the are dedicated to creating new music.
Incredible quality here. I saw them on the first leg of this tour in November and they didn’t play Schism. Happy to see it so well documented here. Thanks for sharing!
See how Maynard gave his bassist the props lol .Badass. Just shows how important the low end really is.
Incredible, close-up footage! Great job!
Excellent video. Thank you for sharing.
Going to my first show Friday night in Birmingham, so excited.
Same here. First Tool show. Legacy Arena. Fuggin Pumped!
