Great recipe, I was looking for this! My home made plant-based burgers are always quite mashy so a recipe that addresses also this aspect is very welcome! Can't wait to try it, thank you!
These look delicious! I love the idea of the walnuts and lentils, tonnes of protein for my goals! I’ve read about brown rice in veggie burgers before, I’ll have to give these ago. Would they freeze well?
These look delicious. I add raw soaked mung beans and lentils, which I process with olive oil and spices....also riced raw cauliflower, which holds its shape nicely to form the burgers, but goes soft and moist when cooked❤
Excellent video! 😊 Not sure I'd add coffee, but I can see it would give colour and earthy notes to the mixture... I love any kind of wholefood burger and have tried many different recipes. For a pop of flavour, I recently saw a recipe that included finely diced sundried tomatoes - amazing addition, highly recommended👌 I tend to use mushrooms and mashed beans of some sort as a base to which I'll add whatever I have in the fridge tbh 😂. I dislike raw onion so I always sautée mine first, then let it cool down and add it. Garlic is non-negotiable for me, as is smoked paprika. Chickpea flour or oat flour work for binding the ingredients, or even cooked quinoa. Not too much, though! I am delighted you made the sauce yourself and didn't resort to the sugar-heavy ultra processed commercial sauces I see some chefs use, which make my toes curl! 😝 I totally understand why you made them up in traditional burger buns, but to my mind this is the least healthy element of all. Refined white flour, additives, and commercial raising processes make them something I wouldn't choose to consume. But I obviously don't expect you to make wholemeal sourdough buns as well! Personally I give the buns a miss altogether, and serve my burgers with a pile of spinach or a nice fresh salad. Yum! 😊
Thanks! I love sun-dried tomatoes in burger and sausage recipes, adds lots of flavour and a chewy texture. ooh yeah I'm not a fan of raw onion or garlic really. That's true, they are pretty unhealthy but for the purpose of the thumbnail they did the job. It's hard to find decent bread rolls that don't contain some kind of preservative or additive. That's the best way to go, today I had a burger with salad, hummus and some veggies 😋
Hi George. Your recipe looks great. I’m making them today. How many burgers would the recipe make? Also, it would help to add buns to the ingredients. Cheers, James
@@jamesrenwick2876 Thanks for reporting back on your findings. Additionally, thanks George for the ingredient list. I noticed you're using Instant coffee. I was about to consider using 'regular ground coffee beans' :-)
I suggest posting to r/vegan recipes on Reddit. Explain that there's a recipe in the description (needs to have a written recipe) or link to a website (if you have one). I was just looking for a firmer burger as the ones I had last night were mushy. Nice in their own way, but not what I wanted. So I'm looking forward to trying this out.
BIG IRONY HERE: anything remotely vegan, plant based, healthy is rediculously expensive in my country, or near impossible to find. So I'm having to DIY almost everything I need. Most stores I've asked have never heard of jackfruit, not even a local speciality fruit & veg market store. BUT, a local value store - the kind that sells cheap stuff - sells actual jackfruit (they look hideous btw). Sooo, I'll be buying a monster jackfruit at my local cheap store so I can make these burgers. The Happy Pear YT channel does a quasidillas using jackfruit - one jackfruit, two great friday night fast-food style dinners sorted! Thank you.
Hi friend. 😊 Been vegan for over 35 years here…and I’m also poor. I eat well - and only organic and whole foods, but I eat very simply. I can’t afford all the fancy stuff or multiple ingredients, but my food is still vibrant, delicious and nutrient dense. Just wanted to point out that eating healthy and plant based doesn’t have to be expensive. 😊✌️
@@rainedyani8505 What type of things do you eat & what are your main ingredients? I eat a ton of tomatoes in almost every dish... a no-no for strict vegans.
I have only had beyond or impossible twice and that was when I was in the hospital. They served it plain. It was disgusting, and I will never eat it again unless I'm starving in a hospital.
Welcome back to the Earthy Goodness Kitchen! Do you prefer veggie burgers from the shop or do you make your own?
- George 💚

Thanks! That’s great. Yeah they can be quite tricky. Hope the recipe works well for you 😀
I love this new channel! I prefer making my own veggie burgers, and I’ll definitely be adding this one to the list!
Glad you stumbled across my channel! Hope you enjoy them 😁
Thanks George, this looks really good and I will definitely try it

Thanks Kate! Yeah lots of protein from different veggie sources. Yes they would :)
This looks delish!
Thank you!
Great ingredients in the home-made burger bun

Thanks Tanja, ooh sounds delicious. I haven’t tried adding cauliflower before so I’ll have to try! 💚

Loving these recipes! Can you link the pan you use?
Thanks! It's a Tefal Jamie Oliver 28cm Frying Pan. Got it off Argos if you're in the uk :)

Hi James, thanks for watching. It should make about 6-8 :)
Thanks, George. They were delicious, and very well-received by my carnivorous family.
So glad to hear James! Always great when you can please the vegans and the carnivores 😁

Sounds good! Yes this burger is a bit firmer then the usual veggie burgers 😋 🍔

That being said, I love that it is available for people. Anything is better than eating an animal.
Aha they’re alright with toppings and such
