I preferred the version from the 1000-year war, where light symbolized the belief in a single, absolute truth, while void represented the understanding that multiple conflicting truths exist. Those who embraced the void refrained from using any of these truths, instead harnessing void energies.
See, I prefer that too, but also in the theory I’ve held that there was ONE ‘Light Lord’, while there were tons of Void Lords, each representing dozens of different truths.

I don't think they waging war about who is right (thats the thing the void lords and especially the old gods would do), because the light represents only one right possibility. They simply see no differentiating futures, only one collective truth, that has to be enforced if the natural order of things don't comply with it.
It's like the acid and base chart, where azeroth is in the middle and light and void are acid and base. As you go down on either end of the chart the substances get more volitile and destructive.
Xalatath being forcefully shifted into a lightbeing would both be interesting, tematically consistent, and highly worrisome for all other beings in the Warcraft universe. When this whole saga is done, I would like to see some more street level adventures. Do we always need to be fighting intergalactic or interdimentional threats? As we have spent little time taking care of places closer to home, real threats, old and new could have taken root and need sorting out. No one starts at lvl 1 anymore and if anyone does, they just go back to classic. So, most of Azeroth is abandoned. Why can't we go back and tidy up? Westfall and Duskwood could use a little love. It would give people who started later in the game to see the old world. The Difis have been running unchecked, wild animals are overtaking Stranglethorn and the orcs could be massing in Red Ridge. I have never really played Horde, but they have been fighting the same overly big bads as t he Alliance.
You know what would be super interesting.. If the time Azeroth is attacked by the void Lords... The one that is leadig them ends up being a dark and destructive being that is very strong.. And when we defeat it.. or in some way find a way to weaken it.. It transforms into its Light version... And we finaly get to see.. Elune. Because think about it.. She has 2 versions.. The "Mother Moon".. But then she also has the Night Warrior side. The destructive side. Woudl be kinda funny if its a sort of split personality kind of thing.. When she is in her light version. Kind and good and all that.. But in her dark form.. She is destruction incarnate. Rage. Hate and so on. And it would be a very interesting way to introduce Elune. As a sort of plot twist. That the big bad enemy we have to face in Midnight.. Is not a void lord that we believed it was.. But Elune. And it would work well for what could possibly happen in the Last Titan Expansion after Midnight. Because now Elune is here.. And she can HELP us protect Azeroth from the Titan Pantheon. Would even be an interesting story moment when Elune meets Eonar. And you see the conflict they have...

Are these the "Keepers of the Light" or is that higher up, I know about the Titan Keepers but they mentioned the "Naaru and their Keepers" many times before. As far as I know we've never seen or heard the name of any of the "Keepers" from the Light. Again not to be confused with Titan Keepers.

Power is moving from one to the other through Reality powering it.... Since one has to have an extreme negative charge, and the other a positive charge, as energy is used, the charges start to equalize and you can even potentially flip the charges which could explain why Naru can turn Void, and mean that Void Lords can turn light... If Azeroth is a giant "potential" energy source, then both Light and Void maybe trying to claim her to either keep themselves Void/Light or to convert the opposing faction.

But, that crazy elf that was murdered after mastering gis portals is pulled out of time right before he was merked out and he works with Noseormu to cast a spell transporting us to a new reality, but he hasnt proven the reliability if the spell yet and wendont know if will work. Fuck it, do or die boiiii! Yeeeet! They send us theough his portal and wow goes black on that character and hes not playable. Then, a few minths later when everyones gotten in the portal, something gappens and all the characters are back in the world and BAM! World of Warcraft 2.0 with a fully rebuilt world from the ground up with dynamically changing environments, characters and cities and forests that age over time. We did it baby! We land in a new world with the same people, different quests, different stories abd were off to abother 20 years!

In writing circles, when you come up as a writer/ creator with more and more new lore and mysteries without explaining the old ones, that is what it is called "bad writing". It is as bad as the explanation of J J Abrams for how he makes movies: a mystery box into a mystery box about a mystery box of a mystery box. He did the exact same thing to countless mobies and series: Lodt, Star Trek, Star Wars, Revolution, Almost Human, Alcatraz, Cloverfield, Fringe, Mission Impossible 3 and many more. All of them started good, with original ideas and then, ended badly with rehashed ideas from other creators or simply just got cancelled. He can't finish a story... Same here: when you come up with new lore and not explaining the old one and its mysteries, that is bad writing... Atrocious even..

I don't like a single piece of lore that the World of Warcraft team has come up with in the past 15 years and it keeps getting worse. The biggest sin you can commit when your world has magic is to explain in, and Blizzard has started making up new ways to explain magics that we never questioned. You know whats not magic? Magic that is explained is no longer magic. They are stripping the Warcraft universe of all wonder and imagination by forcing very specific explanations for everything. Theres no mystery left. No wondering what anything in Azeroth might be like because it's all explained. Theres nothing left in the Warcraft universe except the awful new races they keep coming up with.
If they're doing cosmic lore they need to stop explaining so much and stop making them look like normal people but sized up, and if they took some more story elements from horror games the lore would be so much better, every single time Warcraft gets a little spooky the writers suddenly get superhuman powers
But, the Naaru are the original equivalent to void lords. So blizzard just keeps on making new lore and discarding the old lore. It is like tolkien would come back to life, burn all his books and rewrite middle-earth with modern BS trend additions. I must say I have zero interest in this new lore.
@draconian_dragonlord Tolkien was a WW1 vet who was actually a pro historian for his country and linguist. Hardly any settings match Middle-Earth since not that many writers have Tolkien's knowledge and experiences. And Tolkien unlike others actually bothered to make his overall worldbuilding before releasing his book while still having having points in it he had problems with like the orcs.

Magic that is explained is no longer magic. They are stripping the Warcraft universe of all wonder and imagination by forcing very specific explanations for everything. Theres no mystery left. No wondering what anything in Azeroth might be like because it's all explained. Theres nothing left in the Warcraft universe except the awful new races they keep coming up with.
If they're doing cosmic lore they need to stop explaining so much and stop making them look like normal people but sized up, and if they took some more story elements from horror games the lore would be so much better, every single time Warcraft gets a little spooky the writers suddenly get superhuman powers
But, the Naaru are the original equivalent to void lords. So blizzard just keeps on making new lore and discarding the old lore. It is like tolkien would come back to life, burn all his books and rewrite middle-earth with modern BS trend additions. I must say I have zero interest in this new lore.

@draconian_dragonlord Tolkien was a WW1 vet who was actually a pro historian for his country and linguist. Hardly any settings match Middle-Earth since not that many writers have Tolkien's knowledge and experiences. And Tolkien unlike others actually bothered to make his overall worldbuilding before releasing his book while still having having points in it he had problems with like the orcs.
