Doron to me its obvious. Her cape golden lines 5:06 , her outline while floating from a distance facing you with those two balls and all the outline of her armor 0:40 looks like a NARU!!! She is/was a Naru, maybe prime Naru or what ever, who went void state, while in void state she broke free from he cristaline body to do her job better.
She didn't technically say it was her blood. What she said was, "The black blood's power--MY power." This can be interpreted as her blood, but it can also be interpreted as "I'm taking this power for myself."
@@Android-dg5ri I haven’t played since MoP but I’ve been trying to keep up with the lore. What’s going on with Azeroth (the Titan baby or w.e lol) right now and the whole Sargeras sword thing? Was Azeroth supposed to be some super OP Titan if she was ever born? Wouldn’t the planet and players be destroyed if she was born, though? Or what’s even the main story right now like what are the players trying to prevent or make happen?
I took her comment to mean that the power of the black blood comes from HER and that she gifted it to the old-gods in the same way she gifted power to others throughout time. Some kind of void archeron or something? A rebel void lord? Her powers are most certainly void energy based. The real question is what got her stuck in the knife? She clearly couldn't escape the knife on her own. All of this despite the fact that she was under no threat from the old gods at all, she was working "for them" in a way that was no different than with countless others and most recently the spider queen. She discards them as quickly as any of the more mortal people she is "working for". Maybe a Void Lord corrupted (freed?) by Azeroth in the same way that the Earthen were, but who knows. She's not old god and not something they could threaten or even influence.. which would mean something on their level at least or above. A free agent?
She doesn't say the Black Blood is her blood. She says it fuels her power. She is also not absorbing the black blood. She used the black blood and stirs violence fear and conflict, causing the black blood to grow in power (much like the sha) which is necessary to overpower and turn Beledar Void. She was harvesting the void energy of the darkened crystal.
Xal'atath is Queen Zaltra, and ancient nerubian queen!!! I found it in a lore book in the City of Threads! Queen Zaltra apparently never "died", they never found her body and assumed she just still wonders somewhere. Zaltra and Xal'atath even sound similar when pronounced. And she was a "harbinger" which is one of the types of nerubian tittles they could become (in addition to mages and whatever else). Its in the books when you drink a potion of languages. It's really cool, she is now returning to her old city to retake her armies
Maybe she confined herself to the dagger to avoid death. Although this explanation might be complicated because the Black Empire predates the Nerubians AFAIK.
I feel like a lot of people didn't actually go around and listen to the "stay a while and listen" dialog at the end. Khadgar literally states that when he saw what the dark heart was doing, he turned himself into arcane energy to get absorbed by it. He states he trusted that Alleria would be able to defeat her and that's how he escaped being killed. She wasn't even there for Khadgar, she was just absorbing power. She honestly was just going to kill him, but he saved himself.
Don't know if this is just a mere speculation, but I just thought about Xala'tath being the Void entity that created the Old Gods originally, but got dumped by her "children" and imprisoned inside the blade. So I think she literally gave birth to them. And when she mentions "Black Blood" being her blood, I don't think it's a manner of speaking. (This theory reminded me of a boss from Witcher: The Wild Hunt - The Ghost in the Tree (which in a specific lore book makes a note that there's a posibility that she's tje druid that gave birth to the Crones of Crookback Bog, who in return killed their mother and imprisoned her soul inside of a tree)
I know for a fact that you're not wrong. This is coming from the weird nerd who's got loremaster from literally every zone in the game and has read every tiny flavor text that there is every little tiny book every little tiny mention. I've sat in Littles quest zones to see if NPCs have like little throwaway lines that they say every now and again. Go to Un'goro Crater. Canonically it's the only zone that is specifically and directly tied to what is happening in the war with it. I am 99.99% sure that the giant Crystal and the cavern is the same thing that made the impact that made the crater. It then slid and pushed further deeper into the Earth. And if my lore information checks out, the crystal is actually just a sliver or a shard of raw pure cosmic energy. Like in dungeons& dragons how they talk about like the crystalline spheres that contain the different like parts of reality. It's pure cosmic energy like just raw undefined no type. And then when it hit azeroth it got infected with Titan magic and old God magic. So now it keeps switching between light and void. Even though Titans technically represent the aspect of order and arcane, azeroths magic is a mix of of arcane along with the classic light magic. And as we find out, the arathi dudes and the spider people have been messing with the crystals since they've been down there known about it. But yeah, you're also right that zalatath is probably the mother of all of them. Literally everybody has been missing out on that because almost nobody reads the lore. I figured this out. Literally the second that they mentioned zalatath being trapped in the blade back in legion. It just sounded like something that you would do to a mother you really fucking hate but you can't kill. You keep her locked up in a tower. Or in the case of the void gods you imprison her away in a malicious, evil blade that likes to kill people and suck out their souls.
Not the 'mother' most likely but the true form. The combined essence. Easiest way to make Old Gods may well be to split up a Void Lord type entity and let it bicker with itself for millennia until it defeats all the shards of itself and reforms. She possibly IS Cthun and Nzoth and all the rest.
@@A2ndVoice There's a big plot hole in this theory that contradicts to the whole point of it - The blade(with the entity) was used during the days of the Black Empire. She also comments that if you play through as a Shadow Priest during Legion campaign. Also I can't say that I'm not agreed with the Gestalt being theory, but in some way it doesn't fit well, 'cuz of the fact that Gestalt can be explained as "blend of mind, emotions, body, and soul with unique experiences and realities" when Xala'tath appears as an individual that doesn't have anything in common with the major 4 OGs (C'Thun, Yogg-Saron, Y'Shaarj and N'Zoth) + she herself makes references about the other OG when you carry her through specific locations and make some interactions.
@@echo-1487 i dont see that as a plothole tbh. she should have been 'just a blade" at that time. OG like their plans within plans shtick. 4 huge targets for heroes and gods that are so massive both literally and figuratively that its unreasonable to actually conquer them and 1 tiny unnoticed target just in case they do seems like the exact MO of the OG to me.
Honestly? No. There was a convo between her and N'Zoth in BFA where she told him "Free me to find my own fate", definitely not something a mother would say. So, she didn't strike me as "that" powerful, but in TWW, she is the ultimate villian. And N'Zoth spoke to her like she was just another being of the void, and not something far superior to him.
So I have a theory i would like to toss out. Xal’atath is the void dread lord… boom that’s it… we all know Lothraxion is the dread lord who has invaded the light, but what about the shadow and void? We know how the nathrezim view the void from this quote “Void: Taking advantage of the void lords' vast reach to position them as a foil against the other forces”. The void doesn’t seem bothered by the nathrezim, but they are cautious due to their ability to see various different out comes. Xal’atath has seen countless worlds fall. Well who’s been around since before we knew of the old gods and void lords? The Nathrezim. Let’s check out this quote. “One conclave of nathrezim settled on a world where several Old Gods, servants of the void lords, were in the process of corrupting a titan world-soul. They came to dwell among the Old Gods, basking in their dark power. When Sargeras discovered the planet, he captured and interrogated the nathrezim, and they revealed what they knew about the void lords: that they had sent the Old Gods into the cosmos in order to find and corrupt a world-soul and transform it into an unspeakably dark creature that not even the Pantheon could stand against.” Does this not sound familiar atm the moment with Azeroth? The silent observers, are master manipulators, and would rather turn factions on one another, rather than getting their hands dirty. Fitting the MO of xal’atath. Next, we’ve seen since Xal’atath was first released that she has been able to manipulate portal magic, and during the invasion of Dalaran, she caused an abundance of portals. Here is another quote “According to one observer, the nathrezim were once an enlightened and powerful race with a skill in summoning and portal magics that was unmatched by any in the Great Dark Beyond.” My last observation… her attire… go look at any of the updated dreadlord models, look at their armor design, it fits. Go look at mal’ganis’s key art from 2019. His thighs have fabric wrapped around them like xal’atath, even his arms have some banaages under his bracers in the art. Look at the shoulder pad designs, look at his belt, he has crystals dangling just like Xal’atath does in his art…. Go look at sire Denathrius, look at his armor design… and lastly look Remornia, the runes upon her are the same make up as the ones on xal’atath. Which has me wondering, is that the language of death on xal’atath skin. Even if you start to listen to xal’atath and the things she says, the way she manipulates everyone… it’s very much in the way the dread lords carry out their business. One more thing, her voice has an echoey effect just like the other dreadlords voices too.
Those of you that aren't shadow priests...we have a very special relationship with this villain. She used to inhabit our weapon in Legion. That body isn't even hers. She possessed some random dead elf. She is formless, endless .
@@tylerstewart3181 I guess the other commenter meant that Xal'atath is beyond the mortal labels and restrictions like gender, and only referred to as a she due to having feminine voice
My bet: Xal'atath is worldsoul of K'aresh, created when Dimensius had taken the planet. That matches with voice (like radiant song) heard on K'aresh, they heard Xal'atath as worldsouls but they did not save her, so she became the harbinger of the void turned by Dimensius.
Blizzard does not need to give us yet another "big bad." At some point, the power level of the newest iteration of threat to Azeroth just gets silly, redundant, and uninteresting. They need to bring it back in... make it more intimate IMO... focus on fan favorites and characterization with more grounded plots. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate WoW overall and do think they will do better with the War Within than the not-so-great Shadowlands and Dragon Flight. That being said, WoW is firmly in the throws of what I like to call creative entropy. However, there may still be time to course correct.
Lets be honest, it isn't that she didn't react fast enough to protect the Dark Heart, she wanted that arrow to land, to allow Khadgar out, because he still has yet to "Turn the key". I know people are saying that whisper referred to the teleporting of Dalaran but I'm certain it wasn't . That whisper, will be one of those that is more literal than cryptic. She still needs him, and shes playing him for the long game. Khadgar will inadvertently kick-start Midnight.
Alleria said she weren't aiming at her, wanting Xala to lurch so she could hit it, Xala knew what she was aiming at, but did not expect Alleria's arrow twitch to adjust for Xala's likely lurch to try avoid thus making her move into the position that was required for the arrow to even hit.
Isn't Xalatath meant to be Nyarlathotep from the lovecraftian Universe since Blizz got all their lore from there. In these books Nyarlathotep (Xal) uses Humans/Blood (Dark Blood?) to ressurect the gods. On the other hand Nyar is the sibling of Azathoth which one is the lovecraftian N'Zoth. Doesn't this fit?
What if Azethoth is meant to be Azeroth, and Xal’atath is her evil sister or something? A fallen world soul? Maybe she’s trying to do something with Azeroth via the black blood. Wasn’t Azeroth supposed to become the strongest Titan, then got stabbed/corrupted, and now Xal is trying to do something with her
I dont think Void is real threat Zovaal was talking about in SL, Zovaal knew Primus framed him and dominated him, and knew the pact Primus and Amanthul made through timeways. Remember what Odyn told us in dragonflight: “Your mortal minds cannot comprehend what the makers (first ones) have granted the Titans at Zereth Ordus. Its just best you know Titans are gods and have ordered the universe.” All void thing is just distraction till the last titan since Sargeras is defeated and there is nothing to stop them, obviously its not good that Dimensius wants to consume Azeroth, but real threat (Pantheon and Primus) still awaits. DONT FORGET that Primus right now controls Shadowlands through crown of wills, he gave titans what they wanted, full control over death realm and what happens there through “Arbiter” Even newest chronicles Vol. 4 talk about it, how someone in realm of death (“AN ENEMY OF ALL”) made a bargain with light. And we know that only contact with Light in SL was Primus making Arbiter light entity through his Crown of “Wills”… more like strongest domination crown ever made. Its very obvious and people still ride delusion train of how Zovaal was just bad guy with stupid motives. Like Primus used FIRST ONES MAGIC LIKE IT WAS NOTHING when creating Crown of “Wills”. Zovaals purpose was to take the blame and try to reveal the secrets First ones hid in Sepulchure. So for those that think SL wont be relevant ever again you are very wrong. Threat is very real and titans obtained runic domination magic AND WILL NOT BE HAPPY WHEN THEY RETURN.
An interesting input and one I've been in on for a long time. SL was a necessary build up to what is to come and got a lot of bad half-unwarranted crap for being so corny.. "a titan conspiracy beyond comprehension", maybe a bit paraphrased but something like that, I think I heard? Also, the story behind the full connection between the First Ones and the Titans has yet to be revealed, as far as I'm concerned. That's a like from me!
@@Werlath Aswell Im riding this train for a LONG time, and no one can convince me otherwise, because I actually played game back then and saw all the hints with my eyes uptill now, and connected 2+2 dots together just like many other people that actually pay attention to foreshadowings, hints and lore in general, not just ingame cinematics…. Now in matter of Titans will most likely turn as imposters, even tho I strongly believe they are all imposters in pantheon except 1. First ones gave life to whole of cosmos to make balance, just like void and light, life and death, order and disorder and etc. Titans try to disrupt this balance in cosmos by “ordering” everything. Now ordering can basically be looked at like Domination Magic, and we can ask ourselves is it really “ORDERING” in the first place or was is Domination magic the WHOLE time since Primus already allied with Amanthul. Remember original pictures from chronicles and other novels of Sargeras before precorruption from Fel, he had “domination” runes all over his armor
@@danilnepriakhin5365 Might be true but personally I think Titans will arrive last second on the scene because no way in the world would they let the Void to claim their finest prize. Thats whole point of Sargeras stabbing Azeroth and starting whole chain reaction of Prison starting to malfunction, old god blood leaking everywhere and void comming into play. Titans never took Sargeras seriously in chronicles and novels when Sargeras talked about the void, thats why he corrupted himself with fel and went leading burning legion in first place. Sargeras most likely knew only way to bring in Titans attention is to put worldsoul itself into danger like that.
I'm thinking she's essentially a Pre-Cursor Old God. A proto-type Old God that the Void Lords fiddled with that or she's a form of Shepard of the Old Gods where they were supposed to take her lead but as you said they didn't like what Dimensius had planned and went against them both.
I'm not sure the Black Blood is her blood. She says "my power" but that could be a statement of claiming it for herself now. On the other hand, she could've been the reason the Old Gods are here in the first place, so possibly they do have her blood. Hopefully we learn more soon
@@BasedHorrigan well... paying with gold since years, making a fortune right now with professions, so most likely I will keep playing and someone else is paying for me.
@@ShugGmail my point was that there is no real story choice in wow. They sacrificed it while making the game for the sake of MMO gameplay and appeal. If you want your choices to matter and want to have options, then wow is not the game for that. It's like being an extra in a triple A tv show. It tries to act like its the shit when it comes to storytelling but in reality it is as backwards as it can be, Metzen returning is proof that they're running out of ideas. Slow talking characters, no real stakes in the events that transpire, outdated world (old world is perma stuck in the cataclysm), shitty disneyfication of every single race from a visual and dialogue perspective...I could go on forever, pulling out all of the dirt. WoW's strength is that it has probably the largest appeal in terms of accessible ultra high fantasy: in 04' it became accessible by imitating other MMOs and appealing heavily to the LOTR aesthetic, taking advantage of the PJ movies. Now it's appealing to be over sentimental, highly emotional and extremely apologetic. Men are constantly showing their emotions and breaking down instead of using them as fuel to keep going, women are constantly trying to show to the world that they're the shit. If you're the shit you don't need to say it. Take Varian Wrynn and his son, Anduin. Varian's father, Llane, is killed when Varian is just a boy. His city is sacked, his people butchered, and he flees. When he comes back he rules as KING without running away from his obligation. Not even Onyxia splitting him up into weak/strong Varian could contain him. He performs his duty, for which he was BORN for (with all of the luxuries and disadvantages). Anduin on the other hand does perform his duty for a while, until the writers decide that it's time for him to have a trauma. Like motherfucker TURALYON has seen far worse in his lifetime and he has to pick up the pieces that Anduin leaves ala Garrosh Hellscream. This trope of the "hero" that refuses the call because he is depressed is the most underwhelming device used in this decade. Tldr; don't treat wow as an rpg because it is not
Careful with remote desktop stuff, you can get banned for it. As for Xal'atath, to a degree she reminds me of Anubis from the Stargate series. He couldn't be permanently killed because he was an energy being, you could destroy whatever physical body he was in but then he'd just find himself a new one.
I hope that in the end xal atath is defeated by the titans but azeroth is completely destroyed in the process. Then maybe hundreds of years in the future the races would have began to rebuild their societies and we can start a new adventure in WoW 2.0
Well like Void Beings are never truly gone and defeated as they always end up back to the Void on Death and come back. Not sure entirely if they share the same way as say the Fel Demons. As the only way to kill a Demons for good is to kill it in the twisting nether. Not sure of the same rules apply in the Void? But the alternative is Imprisonment.
My prediction is we just end up trapping her in another weapon (priest legendary) and we obviously do a questline to not get corrupted by the whispers. I think that would be an awesome way of dealing with her.
I know Balnazzar is permanently dead but considering how he is the Dreadlord with most void appearance of all considering that purple colors from him i'd like to imagine Xal'athat travelling back in time to recruit to be her butler just like Varimathras did to Sylvanas
There is a whisper that goes like this "It was thought his kind was incorruptible. A lesson for my brothers I suppose." at Harbaron. Harbaron is a Constellar. Algalon is also a Constellar. It doesn't mean that she is a Constellar, but perhaps there is some sort of kinship. Another interpretation could be that the lesson she talks about is for her brothers to try and corrupt other Constellars.
My theory on xalatath. She claims to be the black blood. She has been around long enough to know about Cthun, nzoth and yogg. Knows about Yssraj. She is the blood of the old gods, the power they have given to them by the void. It’s how she travels across the universe. She is everywhere an old god is, and when they are destroyed she is released. She. Yssraj was destroyed she came out, the old gods knew what she was so they shoved her into a blade. Nzoth knew he had to go into the blade from out df meet up with him but not why. And that was all orchestrated by xalatath for her to get out of the blade. Working with the infinites and all.
I think she's a dark naaru who arrived initially on Azeroth during the height of the Black Empire....on Beledar. Beledar looks eerily similar to Genedar (or Oshu'gun) on Outland. Also, Exodar, Genedar, Xenedar and Beledar all are massive crystalline structures that housed Naaru. Furthermore, the runes on her face match the ones on Beledar, and the runes above the Dark Naaru that Alleria consumed, L'ura. The shape of her shoulderpads and the orbs above them also look exactly like naaru eyes, which are glowing orbs of light or shadow....all Naaru fall to shadow, it is part of their natural life cycle. Curious how the Arathi follow a fallen star....she also floats around everywehre, like a naaru, in the Threads of Fate cinematic, comes out of the BELEDAR shaped crystal on the mural. I think Voidsong also looks remarkably similar to the Black Blade of the Empire....not to mention Locus Walker told us before Dimensius consumed his planet, K'aresh, that the ethereals all heard....a radiant song.
The Jailer should've been set up like Xalatath, and they could've done it starting as far back as Cataclysm. Garrosh could've started out honorable, like we saw in Stonetalon Mountains finale, but have been receiving counsel from Sylvanas in secret, escalating his violence, leading us into MoP where Sylvanas is mostly in the background, 'rebelling' against Garrosh and his atrocities, leading into WoD and Legion where Sylvanas could slowly enter more of the spotlight, escalating her ruthlessness and violence much like we saw with Garrosh, instead of just suddenly in BFA and SL becoming overpowered and a monster out of nowhere, we could see it build up over time like we did with Garrosh and have more and more of her intentions revealed to us instead of all at once like we got with SL.
Xal'atath is Old Goddess (Void Old Goddess) She is fusion Of High Elf + Void Lord + Old God. But, we can banish her somewhere out Of our Space.. just like we did with Sargeras.
I assume the final villain will be Dimensius which will just consume Azeroth as he did with K'aresh, so bye bye Azeroth after world soul saga, I still don't fully understand if they don't wanna pull another cataclysm like thing how the whole void thing will not damage the Azeroth as badly in Midnight so the whole world should shatter anyways
Is there any info on what those two expansions will be about? I know they can’t outright say it because they would be spoiling current content lol, but did they give a rough idea/concept or anything?
I think she was the 5th old god but also was the old god void emissary as in the one the others received there orders from. I think it was said the 5th old gods blood was used to empower the black empire army. I suspected she was just the weakest of the 5 and the others just sacrificed her to win the war by making super soldiers but if they did try to rebel against the void this could make more sense why she was scarified. I also think the only think that can defeat her is the void. Right after she takes a blast from kadgar without a flinch she had to dodge the void arrow. I even think kadgar noticed this and is why he teleported her away. I also think this is why locus walker seems convinced saving azeroth will be on alleria.
Let's be honest, blizzard is winging this shit as they go. If the community wasn't infatuated with her concept they never would have made her an important character they would have just used a void lord. But I think they essentially have struck gold in the writer's gold mine. My theory is: It's possible that she is like the guide for the void lords. The planet must be filled with war and rage before it can be completely corrupted/consumed. There's a theory that the Old Gods are simply cancerous creatures that were essentially made by Xalatath to help corrupt Azeroth over time. It seems that corrupting/consuming a worldsoul takes a lot of energy / preparation and perhaps they are still refining this process (meaning they destroy the soul before corrupting it in some cases? or something akin to that). So I think it is safe to say her role is kind of the secret leader of the Old Gods and the emissary of the Void Lords. Most likely the Lords need a clear path and destination to corrupt/consume worlds, and can only do so once certain conditions are met, i.e. Xalatath has to go to each world (or other harbingers?) to prep it for void lord dinner. I think the old gods rebelled against her bc they knew they would not make the chopping block. OTSS, change your fate by removing the being that will usher you into it... N'zoth was known for seeing the future. Seems to make a lot of sense to me since he was so afraid of her.
i think if we want to know who and what xalatath is, we need to look at the way she presents herself. Has anyone else noticed how much her clothes resemble those of the ethereals? the wrappings...the colors...she isn't even wearing any shoes at this point....and considering she didn't start like this, I have a feeling she chose something she is more comfortable/familiar with...especially also with the slight hint from ethereals that the song sounds similar or same as what has initiated the ethereals doom
The Old God Blood could be kinda like the black ooze in the Alien universe, a mechanizm for creating lifeforms of destruction, and maybe the Old Gods are no more than cancer cells or bacteria that was altered using the void blood, which became their blood and made them into Old Gods we currently know
The whole thing is, that with the lore of WoW, reality itself is something like a construct or at least the part the player characters are in between the cosmic forces and while none of these forces is allowed to win, to get rid of any of them will just be as bad if not worse, even more when getting rid of all - while there ARE possbilities, that this may work somehow, but the question is, what impact this will have on mortals. It's like the scenario in Pathfinder, where the good gods could easily stomp devils and demons without any problem, but if they would start to do this, the whole evil side would bind together and fight to the death, what wouldn't help them shit against the gods, but it would utterly obliterate the world of mortals. That's why the good gods are not doing this.
in regards to the dark heart being damaged...is it really that she couldn't foresee it? or is it that in her hubris in her control over Alleria, she just wasn't expecting her to finally change up her tactic? This elf always wants to put an arrow through me, and every interaction we have, the more I taunt her, the more I control her into putting that arrow into a target she will never hit. This time around, Alleria had more behind her to keep her mind free of manipulation, she had her friends and family fighting along side her, and she had a breakthrough of Khadgar's message give her a pivotal clue and allowed her to shoot the arrow at something that would actually cause damage. While I do think the void/harbinger are thinking many many steps ahead and trying to manipulate outcomes in their favor, I think they do lose out to the mortal "free will" (as cliche as it sounds) enough that proves that their messages are just prophecies of possibilities that they are trying to enact or they are encouraging along. The final scene here is a great example where Xal cannot control Alleria through her words and presence like their interactions before. Things may have gone Xal's way up to this point...but it seems Alleria has put a wrench in the system now, there has to be a way to get it back on track, with a possible "that was merely a set back" line.
I'd say it's probably a little of both. She likely did foresee it as a possibility, but a very unlikely one considering Alleria's established track record of taking a shot at her. Until Alleria aimed elsewhere, Xal had no reason to think this face off wouldn't be like all the previous ones and she'd get another zinger in before 'porting away. The Dark Heart getting hit, likely did hurt her, but also cause some shock that this possibility that she considered so unlikely that it wasn't even worth preparing for to now have her needing to withdraw and start reconsidering what other unlikely possibilities might end up not being so unlikely.
I can imagine that during Midnight the Void will take over control of Azeroth and its soul, probably Dimensius is going to be summoned (not just as manifestation) through the Sunwell and it will cause massive reaction of the light, probably represented by the Emperor and army of the light, which will be like total war damaging whole world, until the Titans appear in the Azeroth and fight both of these universe aspects. During this fight, most them will die, however they will be able to cleanse the world soul as a last act of their sacrifice (with Sargeras convinced that this world soul is worthy to save and resist the void) and we shall see, which one will be the Last, probably Eonar as a keeper of Life.
I would expect nothing less from a character with the same name as the green elder goddess of mad whispers, the sanity meter drainer of Eternal Darkness lol.
I'd love another Shadowlands or Outlands type of expansion, where we visit so many worlds we didn't know were around or parallel to us all along. Maybe the Broze Dragonflight can help discover these new worlds
I'm telling you. She is a void lord like how we fought demencious. She's just trying to use the old god.blood to power her up. Because it's HER blood. The old gods on azeroth are pieces of HER. they rebelled against HER. That's why she was in the blade. Mark my words
what if the old gods are just puppets. they need to grow and become stronger so their blood can be used to empower xala´tath. i can totally see us being empowerd by the old gods in the end to defeat her.🙂
Na Khadgar is just him, they made a point that what he did HAD a consequence he's off the board far as "main players" like how the old guard are being retired
Why risk loosing a tangible foothold by engaging in direct combat? Xal’atath is the world soul of K’aresh and what will become of Azeroth should we fail.
Sorry, been trying to grapple around this thought "we've had being take over the minds of others, be it by deception, or something else. But who has inhabited a body not their own? I know sylvanas was able to put herself back in her body. But what about a being of pure void?"
Into this, we saw what happen to khadgar at the start of TWW (keeping it spoiler free) so what's to say he isn't the same as her given what happened to his body? I don't feel we know the full reprocussuions of khadgar.
I think Xal'atath is one of the most ancient entities of the Universe! I believe Azeroth is even older still & something totally different! I think at the end of The Worldsoul Saga Azeroth will awaken & destroy the cosmological order of the universe! I think she will turn it back to the way it is supposed to be! I think this will lead to the end of WoW & bring about World of Warcraft 2 (Azeroth: A New Beginning)!!!
They aren't going to keep her running for 7 xpacs lol.. she will prob. get away in the trilogy then resurface later. But not the main focus or continual end game boss for that many xpacs... she is probably 2nd in charge in the void if not she is the top of the chain of command...
if you take the known lore the old gods were flung out into space hopping to take root where they born or made ? what would the creator of these space seeds be? what if the seeds / old gods as we know it decided to rebell agist her?
I like the Xal'atath development. I hope they keep doing a good job and not ruin this character like Sylvanas. Got so sick of Sylvanas over the many years of WoW.
She's literally the first good villain since Arthas. And when all is said and done, she may actually have MORE characterization than Arthas did. Only difference is, thus far, nothing about her is sympathetic.
@1337Higgins It's pretty sure that they're using Alleria as a stand-in for post-redeemed Sylvanas. They would have had Sylvanas be the one chasing around Xel but walked back on it.
@@galten7361 Haha it's fun to entertain the thought but I don't think that's the case. Sylvanas had her time since WC3. Alleria has been around since WC2. Definitely was time to retire Sylvanas and let someone bigger in. We'll see Sylvanas again, but not for some time yet and she won't play a major role anymore. Kind of like Velen or Malfurion.
@1337Higgins The line about how the realm of death can't hold special mortals does not fit Alleria at all but is pretty much calling out Sylvanas. The confortation at the priory and them trying so hard to push Alleria as Xal's nemesis makes it easy enough to see the scrapped plan was for redeemed Sylvanas who's not all Undead anymore to chase Xal'atath around since it was Sylvia who was responsible for what darkness knife elf's doing.
she said countless empires you know understand countless? 200 not countless even 9000 countless meaning millions of millions empire so I think she is 5 old gods we never see or something more than an old god
How much you wanna bet that she I'd going to be screwed by the void Lords and join our side in fighting them? Sort of a reversed sylvanas story arc. Blizzards writing isn't what it used to be.
They don't look like a lunar eclipse at all. They look like the void balls floating around her head. She looks like she has black holes for eyes. What the hell are you talking about talking about?

Doron to me its obvious. Her cape golden lines 5:06 , her outline while floating from a distance facing you with those two balls and all the outline of her armor 0:40 looks like a NARU!!!
She is/was a Naru, maybe prime Naru or what ever, who went void state, while in void state she broke free from he cristaline body to do her job better.
I think they're building her up like Palpatine and she's going to be defeated in roughly the same way.
She didn't technically say it was her blood. What she said was, "The black blood's power--MY power." This can be interpreted as her blood, but it can also be interpreted as "I'm taking this power for myself."
that was vibe I got.
She is azeroths minion.
Azeroth corrupts the void the titans and everyone that attempts to touch her
@@Android-dg5ri I haven’t played since MoP but I’ve been trying to keep up with the lore.
If not an old god, Xalatath is likely a Void fallen world soul, calling it now.
Maybe she is Azeroth's sister.
We know how the nathrezim view the void from this quote
“Void: Taking advantage of the void lords' vast reach to position them as a foil against the other forces”.
When Sargeras discovered the planet, he captured and interrogated the nathrezim, and they revealed what they knew about the void lords: that they had sent the Old Gods into the cosmos in order to find and corrupt a world-soul and transform it into an unspeakably dark creature that not even the Pantheon could stand against.”
Does this not sound familiar atm the moment with Azeroth?
The silent observers, are master manipulators, and would rather turn factions on one another, rather than getting their hands dirty. Fitting the MO of xal’atath. Next, we’ve seen since Xal’atath was first released that she has been able to manipulate portal magic, and during the invasion of Dalaran, she caused an abundance of portals. Here is another quote
“According to one observer, the nathrezim were once an enlightened and powerful race with a skill in summoning and portal magics that was unmatched by any in the Great Dark Beyond.”
My last observation… her attire… go look at any of the updated dreadlord models, look at their armor design, it fits.
She is formless, endless .
hawt
And not a she at all
@@CasepbX That's important because? Even before she possessed the elf, she had a female voice.
That matches with voice (like radiant song) heard on K'aresh, they heard Xal'atath as worldsouls but they did not save her, so she became the harbinger of the void turned by Dimensius.
dawg wouldnt it be wild if she turns out to be a corrupted titan !!!
I hope and pray that when we finally get void, Lords reveals that they’re not at all looking like void walkers.
@thithihao5473 They have nothing alike with Lovecraft's creatures beyond being tentacle monsters.
@@galten7361 lol are you kidding? It’s a known fact and has been discussed by the creators that they drew a fk ton of inspiration from lovecraft
Remember what Odyn told us in dragonflight:
“Your mortal minds cannot comprehend what the makers (first ones) have granted the Titans at Zereth Ordus. Its just best you know Titans are gods and have ordered the universe.”
All void thing is just distraction till the last titan since Sargeras is defeated and there is nothing to stop them, obviously its not good that Dimensius wants to consume Azeroth, but real threat (Pantheon and Primus) still awaits.
DONT FORGET that Primus right now controls Shadowlands through crown of wills, he gave titans what they wanted, full control over death realm and what happens there through “Arbiter”
Even newest chronicles Vol.
I don't think titans will even have time to see Azeroth before Dimensius finishes his job and consumes the world
@@Werlath Aswell Im riding this train for a LONG time, and no one can convince me otherwise, because I actually played game back then and saw all the hints with my eyes uptill now, and connected 2+2 dots together just like many other people that actually pay attention to foreshadowings, hints and lore in general, not just ingame cinematics….
I think Shadowlands are very relative even in War Within, because no matter what happens the souls of mortals still go through the arbiter.
I do want to correct you, the radiant song was on going 15 years ago. its what drove the arathi to khaz Algar.
Xal'atath's face makes me think of that ex that you can never really get out of your mind.
I'm thinking she's essentially a Pre-Cursor Old God. A proto-type Old God that the Void Lords fiddled with that or she's a form of Shepard of the Old Gods where they were supposed to take her lead but as you said they didn't like what Dimensius had planned and went against them both.

Void lords can have a little bit of destruction, as a treat.

Tldr; don't treat wow as an rpg because it is not
the only thing that sylvansas deserves is eternal suffering
Jaina's a void lord already. She's seekrit BFFs with Xal'atath
She can't be defeated, the dark heart was damaged but she has some bigger plan
Careful with remote desktop stuff, you can get banned for it. As for Xal'atath, to a degree she reminds me of Anubis from the Stargate series. He couldn't be permanently killed because he was an energy being, you could destroy whatever physical body he was in but then he'd just find himself a new one.
She's clearly a void lord. Right up there with the titans.
We need a proper villain that isn't just a one expac boss fight. I hope this is it.
What if Azeroth has twin souls, and Xalatath is the manifestation of one of them that got corrupted by the Old Gods?
and Elune is the other ;)
Xal'atath considers Elune a great enemy, according to her whispers. No mention of any kind of relation aside from that.
@@ironfist7789 pretty sure Elune is a member and possibly the leader of the pantheon of Life, the counterpart of pantheon of Death from Shadowlands
This is just like the time Sylvannas tried to shoot down Genn and Genn caught the arrow in that talisman binding the valkyr
She’s a agent of dismensius or the clock maker, only explanation for being older than the black empire is that the first ones made her
Let's be honest, blizzard is winging this shit as they go.
As the Dagger she survived the Fall of Multiple Mortal Empires on Azeroth...
i think if we want to know who and what xalatath is, we need to look at the way she presents herself.
I can’t wait for her to kick open the core door and tell mom she is home.
I think Xal'atath realy hates that Yogg-Saron made us impredictable.
I guess the jailer wasn't lying after all
So the 'cosmos divided will not survive what is to come' is the Void Lords and Xal'atath then?
@@TheMrToxinmost likely titans, not void, void will just show us the “real” threat all along. Titans are real villains of franchise.
The Jailer?! Are you kidding me?! Can we just forget about him?!
@@KingMickeyMouseOoO More like “Jailed” because he was never “Jailer” to begin with in the first place as narrative lead us to believe.
@@TheMrToxin seems like it or blizz will make up some random bigger threat that has been lurking somewhere for years
The Old God Blood could be kinda like the black ooze in the Alien universe, a mechanizm for creating lifeforms of destruction, and maybe the Old Gods are no more than cancer cells or bacteria that was altered using the void blood, which became their blood and made them into Old Gods we currently know
The whole thing is, that with the lore of WoW, reality itself is something like a construct or at least the part the player characters are in between the cosmic forces and while none of these forces is allowed to win, to get rid of any of them will just be as bad if not worse, even more when getting rid of all - while there ARE possbilities, that this may work somehow, but the question is, what impact this will have on mortals.
Plot twist, she's the Harbinger of Azeroth.
I don't know if anyone else came up with this but if the blood of the old gods is her blood, what if she is the Mother of the old gods?
This shows that IF we win (and we probably will), it will be by extreme convenience and luck.
I think xalatah is the titan soul corrupted by void that sargeras tried to slay
My braincannon interprets this as she is using the blood, its not her blood, but only blizzard can make sense of what she said
I would expect nothing less from a character with the same name as the green elder goddess of mad whispers, the sanity meter drainer of Eternal Darkness lol.
0:17.... what other planets.... other planets with other races?! --- can we go to these oneday?! WoW2?!
I'd love another Shadowlands or Outlands type of expansion, where we visit so many worlds we didn't know were around or parallel to us all along. Maybe the Broze Dragonflight can help discover these new worlds
Love what you do keep it up :) from a friendly subscriber
I'm telling you. She is a void lord like how we fought demencious. She's just trying to use the old god.blood to power her up. Because it's HER blood. The old gods on azeroth are pieces of HER. they rebelled against HER. That's why she was in the blade. Mark my words
She will join us in the end to help fight the Titans
What if she is a prime world soul like Azeroth but corrupted by old gods but only partially and she is trying to set Azeroth free?
She might be “Ekidna” the Mother of all Monsters (Old Gods) 🤷♂️
Echidna. And there is no such thing in wow lore. Also a cool idea.
We will be her through female power. Only women can defeat her.
what if the old gods are just puppets. they need to grow and become stronger so their blood can be used to empower xala´tath. i can totally see us being empowerd by the old gods in the end to defeat her.🙂
I belive bliz is make him her vilan lie Tiamat from sumerian lore she is the mother o the old gods.
we will defeat xal'atath in an another raid.
I doubt before midnight though
Sorry, but the void lord is in another castle.
feels like blizzard has found out how to make a real xpac storyline lol
Na Khadgar is just him, they made a point that what he did HAD a consequence he's off the board far as "main players" like how the old guard are being retired
Hope she doesn't get beamed like N'zoth. But we'll see.
Why risk loosing a tangible foothold by engaging in direct combat? Xal’atath is the world soul of K’aresh and what will become of Azeroth should we fail.
What if we have been wrong the whole time and Xal'atath is Azeroth's embodyment
Sorry, been trying to grapple around this thought "we've had being take over the minds of others, be it by deception, or something else. But who has inhabited a body not their own? I know sylvanas was able to put herself back in her body. But what about a being of pure void?"
Into this, we saw what happen to khadgar at the start of TWW (keeping it spoiler free) so what's to say he isn't the same as her given what happened to his body? I don't feel we know the full reprocussuions of khadgar.
meh to be fair we never got to fight Sargeras 😂 so
also all shown Prime Naru have light orbs, low Naru dont have them.
She's the void arena master
I thinks she will become a frenemy
So to hurt Xal'atath we need to use love to win?
if you take the known lore
the old gods were flung out into space hopping to take root
where they born or made ?
what would the creator of these space seeds be?
what if the seeds / old gods as we know it decided to rebell agist her?
Xal is just another loot pinata. Will last just 1 patch longer then last one.
I truly believe all of the known cosmos and maybe the unknown will join against this.. imagine.. void is infinite
What if she needed Aleria to break the artifact?
IMO a Prime Naru gone shadow.
I'd be ok with Xal'atath being the big bad of the wow universe.
@@matthewlawton9241 An excellent point if I do say so myself.
The confortation at the priory and them trying so hard to push Alleria as Xal's nemesis makes it easy enough to see the scrapped plan was for redeemed Sylvanas who's not all Undead anymore to chase Xal'atath around since it was Sylvia who was responsible for what darkness knife elf's doing.
what if we end up putting her back in the blade
Reacting to the title im gonna say this
All things die it's just a question of how, and how long.
Do we know how long ago Karesh was destroyed? or how long ethereals live?
What if she used to be a titan?
We will defeat her because we are THE champions of azeroth
She's thr litral avatar if the void. Yes she can be between by forcing the void back from wence it came
she said countless empires you know understand countless? 200 not countless even 9000 countless meaning millions of millions empire so I think she is 5 old gods we never see or something more than an old god
How much you wanna bet that she I'd going to be screwed by the void Lords and join our side in fighting them? Sort of a reversed sylvanas story arc. Blizzards writing isn't what it used to be.
Maybe she is a void lord
Hi Samiccus.
You call that a knife?
I'd like to know whether her eyes (being that they look like a lunar eclipses) give her some link to elune.
They don't look like a lunar eclipse at all. They look like the void balls floating around her head. She looks like she has black holes for eyes. What the hell are you talking about talking about?
Nah, I'd win.
SPOILERS!!! wtf
