Did you add more fluid to the cooler? I mean if the fluid didnt come out before starting the motor did you have to put extra fluid still? Should i just drain it completely and add more fluid? Im confused 😂. Btw im from the netherlands. We dont have mountains here but it still overheats. Thanks so much for this vid tho!!
You mention in a reply that you would install a larger Transmission Oil Cooler. Is there a reason why? because you also mention that you didnt want to go to big or small. Im going to do this same thing to the same car soon so I would really appreciate any help or problems that you ran into during this install. Thanks. :)
Hey i just had this problem yesterday drove for 3 hours on highway at 95 degrees outside and it happened. Did this prevent it ? Might get a larger one just to make sure ? Also part 2 ? Wanting to get this done next week after all of the parts come in. Please and thank you
Trying to get it up this week. I started in Feburary and school took over my life. I was literally owned by my homework (and still am to an extent) throughout the entire semester. Still have the videos on my pc and I'm purging everything this summer :D
Hey Nez How much fluid did the transcooler hold? I been told by my dodge dealership that the trans holds 7.4 qts. when you change the fluid. Did you find this to be the case?
We took it to the dealer and honestly there are so many variables with filling these transmissions and with the proper fluid that it was a safer investment to let dodge do it. Sorry for not being as helpful as I could've been. I'm debating on getting another one of these this year just to do repair videos with. lol
Dude, I subscribe to your channel, but where's the Extended Mag: Dodge CVT Transcooler Install - PART 2 ? Don't leave us hanging!! Excellent video by the way:)
I know man school is taking over my life!! And then I work so now it's like all the time I had left over for youtube is being tossed into homework and work. lmao! I'll have it up soon! I'm gonna be purging my HDD's of all the old videos soon. I'm trying to get ahead on homework and spend a week getting this particular video up and a few others with TOS so I can get some space on my PC again! lol.
You make it sound like I didn't mention "I've never done this before and I'm taking you guys with me". Deal with it. Just like I had to....or make a better video yourself.
@@nigerianpride9772 I'm experienced. But part of being a mechanic is learning on the job. That means figuring things out while you do it. You got this! My videos are so you don't go in completely blind and at least have a point of reference so you don't end up setting your car in fire. Lol
Getting ready to do mine.... could really use that part two
need part two. my car is having the same issues. whinning and such.
Is Part 2 near completion? Great information as I have been dealing with this since 2011 on my 2007 Caliber.

What is the size of the cooler you installed? I am thinking on doing this to my jeep compass and want the largest available. Thanks
