    I just need to point out something here. People seem to be misunderstanding Boris a lot when it comes to the part about bearing arms in the states. He means no disrespect, you need to take into consideration that we live in Europe, and we don't have those laws here, it is illegal to carry any weapon of any sorts most places, and you will be fined if you do, so it's something we're not used to, and something that makes us feel uncomfortable because people are literally carrying a lethal weapon on them. He's not saying he doesn't like the states, he even dreamt about living there. And both Boris and I can't wait to travel there soon and meet our friends! So please, don't be too quick to jump to assumptions. We know its not all as portraited in the media. America has lots of beauty that we are excited to explore. Remember there's also a language barrier here, it's not always that simple to express oneself in a different language. Peace and love 🖤

      @Susi Luna that was a very well-thought-out response to speak on that topic and I for one appreciate you saying that, even though there are a lot of idiots/morons and people who carry weapons in the states (mostly ghetto people or drug addicts or stupid ass people like the "Envoys")... There is beautiful places to go to and if you do come to the States you should go to the Coastal towns like Santa Cruz, Morro Bay, Pismo Beach, maybe San Francisco is nice, big metal scene there, there are some sketchy parts there too but as long as you stay on the outskirts of the city like the boardwalk etc. You should be fine. Avoid Los Angeles, it's a waste of time tbh. Lots of weird and very rude people, the traffic is horrible, and there is a lot of homeless in certain areas especially skid row. 'Oregon' is very beautiful and has a "very nice community", Washington is very beautiful, San Jose is fun and there's a big metal scene there as well, a lot of good places to eat and most people mind their own business but there are some sketchy parts to.. I live in Las Vegas and there's a lot of stuff to do here, there's a huge metal scene here but they're spread out and only congregate when there's a show lol, if you visit here stay off the strip for most of the part because people will try to scam you.. Fremont Street is cool because they have free live bands and live performers on the street, just don't talk to any sketchy people and you'll be fine. The art district has metalheads around it sometimes and cool places see and the whole city has so many good places to eat!
      I've lived in California and now Nevada for most of my life but I've always wanted to travel to Europe because I hear a lot of good things about the places, the people, and the food.

    I think what people don't understand about why bands play certain places, and not others, is that agencies will plan a tour to keep travelling expenses down as much as possible, so they'll line up venues in a way that is the most efficient use of a bands time and fuel getting between each shows. Tours have to be profitable and fuel/van/tour bus costs are a huge expense. Agencies are not going to set up shows where the cost of getting to the next show costs too much.

The only redeeming Black Metal fact about the states is we've got a new genre gaining a lot of support, and pretty quickly. It's Native American Black Metal, and Blackbraid is probably at the top of it right now. It's so fkn good I hope you check it out. But don't come here to check it out, wait until they come to you.

Fenriz would not kill anyone so he would give up before starting and even probably sabotage Ghaal. certainly Ghaal would be a formidable adversary, he's probably fit from all that walking the mountain around Espedal, but he would not want to go up against Varg, the elder statesman of Black Metal. Buddy, I've lived in Dallas, Texas (pretty sure we have the most guns of ANY US state) all my life and have never seen gun or knife violence first hand. Of course this is not the experience for EVERYONE, and there IS gun and knife violence daily in most of America, but all media GREATLY exaggerates the circumstances, or just flat out lies. The majority of the violence occurs between people who know each other, and have problems with one another, and most interactions don't result in a weapon bring brought to the party. It's rarely random. If you were looking into visiting the US, or looking to move here, you learn the places where the wise wouldn't go. Like Chicago.

      I grew up in Chicago, never once felt scared or uncomfortable. I grew up in a street about a quarter mile south from O Block as a white person. Race has nothing to do with it, but just painting a picture. I was living in an all black neighborhood known for “crime”. Adding to it, I was born in Russia, and my “crime ridden” neighborhood was where I could find solace.
      I got shot in Dallas the first day I was there because I posed a “threat” to someone by minding my own business, and h because he assumed I was a communist for being from Russia. He’s in prison for attempted murder now, but I digress. You have to be really fucking stupid to walk around Chicago and get shot or stabbed. I’m glad you never witnessed anything in Texas, but your example is shit based on probably poor readings of news headlines with a city twice the size
      Oh yeah, Texas has more gun crime per capita than Illinois :/

    Don't worry man, for me as a Gernan this makes totally sense, we have several terms in our language to describe objects by appearance or association, for example (talking about fingers) we call gloves "Handschuhe", what would translate literally as "hand shoes"... or "Nacktschnecke" (lit. > "naked snail") for "slug" because it doesn't have a shell... and the snail shell is called "Schneckenhaus" (lit. > "snail house")... I could go on forever with this, and many Germans who don't speak English very well actually do talk like this. All the time! Even politicians! Embarassing! 🙈

    Hey Brois,
    How do you feel about Absurd, Der Tod und die Landsknechte, and Leichenzug specifically? I see all the videos posing Mayhem and Burzum as the most “hated” or controversial bands, but after learning the story behind Hendrik Möbus, I have to say it seems Absurd would be more controversial. I personally like the sound of Absurd over most Black Metal bands, not all. It is strange the comment people associate with NSBM about “political”, for the most part, Absurd mostly focuses on Paganism and Medieval times, I understand double context can be applied, but direct translation or meaning doesn’t point to politics.

    If there is a band not many people have heard of but you like them and want to travel to their town or something, do it. I'm not a big black metal fan but love your channel. it's a pretty slim chance that I will be able to travel to Norway/Italy/etc so it's nice to see those places, and not through a polished, influencer type video.

    Olá Boris, aprecio bastante seu canal. Difícil poder separar a ideologia do artista, de sua música. Mas a maioria das bandas NSBM são boicotadas, pois a ideologia nazista deve sempre ser inaceitável ao meu ponto de vista. Com isso evito as que permanecem trilhando esse caminho.

    Most RABM is made by anarchists who don't support regimes of any kind. Panopticon in particular is very focused on nature and standing up to governments or corporations. Spectral Lore tends to be very philosophical and his music explores transcending human limitations. I'd encourage anyone to explore those kinds of bands. You can disagree with them but they aren't hateful people and that's what matters to me.

    9:50 childish take. It’s not about ‘seeing’ a god. God or spirituality is a deeply personal and individual thing. God could be emotion of love you feel, the positive energy you feel when you meditate, it could be the law of attraction. People who take spiritual texts so literally and think that a god is a man in the clouds (could be too - who knows) are totally misguided and missing out on a lot in life in my opinion. To think god is even something that can be comprehended by our human brains is even highly unlikely.

    • @josephinehendricks
      @josephinehendricks 2 місяці тому

      I agree with you, but I think its best to just let athiests discover spirituality in their own way. I find that preaching only pushes people away, its not like they need God to be good people, so why bother them? Let them find out in their own time, if not in life, then in death

    • @michby
      @michby Місяць тому

      @@josephinehendrickssome people don’t experience spirituality or at least not often. I have to be absolutely awestruck by something to feel anything close to what other people might be talking about when they say “spirituality” or “god”. Most of the time that part of me is just kind of…dead. But that doesn’t bother me. I still have a strong moral compass, I have a sense of responsibility to others, I love my friends and family, and I have a lot of empathy and compassion. But that’s just being a prosocial person. I have to see something very amazing in nature or hear some really incredible music (usually for the first time) to feel like there is inherent meaning or power in the universe. And that doesn’t happen every day.

    For the NSBM question, I prefer the music way more than the political ideology itself. I mainly try to ignore the lyrics, and just hear what the music sounds like (which they are good despite what the controversial themes are all about). Hate Forest is my favorite band with its cool riffs and relentless 90% blast beat headbangers.
    Glad you mentioned Alan Wake since it's a good game.

      @@ChristopherYork1978 I do prefer more on the music as long as it's musically good. Do I agree with its political theme by condoning it? No. Does that mean it deserves to get canceled? No, because somehow RABM is being acceptable despite the Marxist ideology also being not good.
      So I'm just gonna avoid dealing with a bullshit political flame war on the internet by saying the music is better than the political totalitarian lyrics. Period.
