This was a great help! Our condo gardener messed with the programming, and at 4a.m. It ran through the 4 zone cycles 3x when I set it to OFF. Will let the ground settle for a few days (about 1” standing water now), and then will RESET and reprogram from a clean slate!
I had to google this…. The Rainbird ESP-TM2 controller has three independent programs that allow up to four different start times per program. This flexibility can help you customize your watering schedule to meet the needs of your landscape. For example, you can water different areas of your yard at different times, or you can water in the morning and evening to allow the water to soak in.
Best explanation of programming I've seen for Rain Bird ESP_TM2
Just what I needed to know!
Thanks :)
Thank you so much very informative
Thanks so much great explanation of everything. Helped me discover my problem
I live in a state with specific watering days each season. So I set each program to those specific days, but on the phone app it runs all three programs together every single day.
How to turn off ridiculous Seasonal Adjust from the company that builds in wifi but makes you spend another $100 to use the feature.
What if I set remaining days to zero? And I set everyday on. Do they conflict each other?
How do you stop a TM2 from preventing water because it thinks it's going to rain?
I have a rain sensor installed and active…how do I know if or when it will trigger the controller to skip watering and for how long?
How can we set up start1 on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday and start2 on Tuesday and Sunday
I set the cycle days for every 3 days and the start days for 3 days time which worked fine, but then the start time went back to 1 day why?
Easy to understand and straightforward! Thanks!!
Hi guys…losing my mind..I have just installed the ESP-TM2 and I have programmed it…let’s say I’ve programmed the three stations to go on at 9PM for 15 minutes each…after the third station stops, the first one starts again…like it’s on a loop! WHY???
Porque no lo traduces porfa.
The day cycle thing is so stupid. My rainbird just doesn’t follow schedule and I can’t turn that cyclic crap off. I have new sod and need it to water every day twice a day and it just skips days completely
Just turn off entire program. Then set program a two different run times
Can someone help me understand seasonal adjustment, please? How does it work? When to enable it?
Basically at 10 min run time 100% will run 10 min 90% will run 9 min 80% will run 8 min. Don’t worry about it. Leave it at 100% and simply adjust your run times. Summer months need 100% fall needs less winter needs zero
How to delete program 2?
I have mine to start everyday. For example I have program a to start at 7am mine has 4 stations I do 6 minutes on 1. On 2and 3 I do 3 minutes and 4 to 6 minutes so. It’s been going for over 67 minutes. Not sure what I keep doing wrong
I'm trying to set mine for every two day (All Zones) 10 minutes each at 6:30am BUT it always comes out at 3am - so frustrating!!!
I'm not sure if adding the Wi-Fi module and using the app will make a difference....
Andres Lopez I’m going to try to reset mine and see if that fixes this issue. I have been doing manual watering since I’m trying not to waste so much water and money
@@andreslopez7337 Setting the day and time are two separate settings.
I have this system with wifi enabled. How do I adjust one zone so I can run the flower bed for a longer time and every day? The system was set by installers to m-w-f but the flower bed needs more water during the summer.
Hello CheleB Lee, you can create a new schedule just for the station dedicated for the flower bed, using the Program selection button on the controller, ESP-TM2 Controller.
Somehow The cyclic days are overriding the days I have selected. Even when I change days remaining to 0 it keeps re-setting to 1 day remaining.
Same it's pissing me off
The video explains resetting to factory default near the end of the video. That should take you back to square one, and you can then set it like you want.
How do you remove a setting a,b,c
I have a and c active same times watering. How can I set it to off.
Start video at the 3:40 mark and watch
Thanks for that! It’s a shame they left that info for the very end of both videos. Sometimes the only way to clear a glitch is to do a full reset.@@susanharris9821
how to stop the main valve off
Where should dial be once it’s set?
Auto
What would cause two stations to come on at the same time?
Did you figure it out or does this model not do that
can you set the different stations on different day intervals ?
You can by setting up different programs and only activating selected zones. Each program you create will have it's own zones selected, day cycle, and run time cycle.
I want to do manual watering only, but it when doing so, it won't allow any more than 10 minutes per station. Am I doing something wrong...Rainbird?
I don't want it to run odd or even days. I want it to run every day. How do I get it to do that? Should be a basic setting, but is not.
Hello! You need to put the dial to Water Days, then press and hold the Left and Right Arrow until the screen changes. One of those options should be Custom Days. Please see pages 5 and 6 for more information on the steps mentioned. www.rainbird.com/sites/default/files/media/documents/2017-06/man_ESP-TM2_en.pdf
You totally skipped over programs. Do all programs run everyday or only the highlighted one on auto?
Hi Sam! Thanks for reaching out. As long as a program is complete the controller will run it. When you see a program shown on the screen, it means you can make adjustments to it.
How about manual watering???? WHY can't I find how to do that with any of your tutorials, the manual, or customer service???? SO FRUSTRATED!!!!!!!!
The easiest way to manually water is just press and hold the right arrow for 3 seconds. Release and it will cycle thru all the zones. It will cut itself off at the end and start again at the next start time
This controller is a complete pos. If you bought one like I did ,so sorry. Send it back. It is not a new model AT ALL. Rainbird LIED THAT IT IS A NEW MODEL
What a piece of garbage this thing is. Designed by 5 year olds.
