My mom always told me that I was special... that everyone else shit in the bed ... I was special... I got up on the pillow and done it. 😂 loving mother from way back in the hollers of South Charleston West-by-God-Virginia. I’m sure it had a good intent. She had some good ones wish I had wrote them down.
Wade everyone is entitled to a bad day. I had my own excavating business 15 years ago. Started out one day 3 things went wrong first thing in the morning. I realized it was a sign from God. I was home by 10:00 and sitting in my recliner. My wife came home and asked me why I’m home so early. I simply explained to her 3 things went wrong first thing in the morning. It was a sign from God to stop working. Some days you have to walk away. I know some days you can’t walk away. Had many of them also. You just have to work through it. Just keep going forward. Love the video’s.
I'm 45 and I still have an occasional meltdown. It's kinda like a stress relief for me and while I'm blowing up I just want to be left alone but when I'm done I can laugh at myself for acting a fool.😂😂 We all have those days. I'm a carpenter and it's happened to everyone on my crew and when it does we walk away from each other but when it's over the guys will give each other hell about it and laugh at each other. Be safe buddy.
U know some people might see it as immature to let it out. My take on it is this. Have your meltdown, get that stress out. Scream, shout, beat somethin if u have to, then take 5 to get collected. If u continue to work when you’re all hot headed it just becomes a dangerous situation. Usually you slow yourself down from making mistakes anyways. I’d much rather see someone loose it and walk away for a few minutes, come back and do it right than see someone push through and make mistakes because their head isn’t on straight. Everybody has their bad days
Yep...You sure got your hands full with them boys. You can talk/teach all ya want and they will still have to screw up and figure things out for themselves. It will hurt you way worse then that smashed finger, on the days they mess up...But at the end of each of those days. You will love em that much more! Prayers of strength 🙏 Cause you are gonna need em, Tator! Thanks for sharing and be safe!
I learnt to back a 4 wheeler hay trailer, had a great teacher he had four legs and loved carrots. He got retired for a little Grey Ferguson tractor, now I had to back that darn cart in the shed.
Wade we gotta be hard on our kids from time to time cause no matter how hard we are on them we are no where near as hard on them as this world can be and we won't always be here so it is our responsibility as fathers to make sure that they can handle this world without us
I did that and the house cough fire. Jumped up out of bed and ran over to the neighbors house n beat on the door. when she answered the door I jumped inside over her huge dog and grabbed the phone (pre cell phones). Called 911 told them all the info they asked for... I turned to the neighbor and said I have time to get one thing ... she took a good look at me all the way up and down (the elevator look). She said "how about some pants? "
Haha Wade your a good ol boy!! You tickle the shit outta me, we need more good ol boys like you in this world!! Hang in there we all have them days!! Props to you for having the patience to mess with them cameras and this UA-cam stuff
What great memories you have created for the son and dad... I remember driving the tractor for the first time on the farm, while dad instructed me and let me drive, while i sat on his lap.... I was so happy to watch your son listen and absorb all your instructions while you were unloading. I can almost see him doing it on his own...There is nothing more pleasing in life, then to watch someone learn and then do it on their own... Wonderful vid...
Another great video, the wisdom you share is pure gold. Great to see you spending time with your son. Glad to see you didn’t hurt yourself and only your pride. It’s truly a great person to be able to look back at yourself and find wisdom in your own misadventures.
Just found the channel and it reminded me of when I was little working with my pops 40 years ago. Thanks for bringing those missed days back to me. God Bless you and your family
Greetings from No VT - Your time with Jackson was priceless. He is just like you and you are rightly a proud dad, it shows! I predict this will be one of the vids that you will look back in years to come as he grows into a good man!
I like watching you with your boys, brings back memories,my son is 41,and I have two daughters. I’m now starting to enjoy grandkids,I have 5 and 1 great grandson, remember, they learn a lot from you, there watching all the time!
Fantastic to see the kids taking a interest in how things work and how to do jobs. You can see the business will eventually be in good hands. Great video always most interesting and very enjoyable. Thanks for posting it. Regards to the family and crew from across the pond
Man days like this just seem to be the longest. I’m glad u didn’t get hurt man. It takes a lot of mind to be able to show your worst moments and learn from em.
Love your vids logger wade! Loved what you told your son about the loader! “ son when your running full capacity , be soft!” That’s good advice for everyday life as all working folks run full capacity daily!
Okay... I don't know how to put this, but watching you're video for the first time and being a father of 2 son's (4 and 9 months) you just..... I'm sorry but my eys are tearing up as I watch the video, I'm 35 and live in South Africa, life here is hard and I work my fingers literally to the bone just to get nowhere and have nothing to show for it... I'm missing the joy of seeing my son's growing up, like my father did with me and I understand now that I'm older but it just brakes my hart, now to see you enjoying time with you're son at work, teaching him you're life skills so that he can become his own man in time, it's inspiring... Thank you for this video and hope you and the family all the best in the world. God bless
Boys im sorry to hear dagone it there's gotta be a better way.. there's gotta be a way to put it together closer to your babies hard work is great tgats what it's about but proximity is everything with kids and a family
Funny as hell Wade, think it’s great you’re honest and big enough person to share it with us all, and don’t be too hard on yourself if there were more fathers like you the world would be a better place, stay safe best wishes to you and your family.
When I first saw the video I thought somebody was taking a video of me getting mad at the saw, getting mad at the twigs around the tree before you cut it, and beat the chain binders with the pipe for no apparent reason lol. Damn that brought back some good memories! And the little guy that said buy wogger wade merch is my new hero! He is a spittin image. Great video. Thanks.
My family cut timber in the 70 and 80's. My dad and uncle got like that. Later found out they all were bi-polar. Nice poplar and size. You teaching your son, reminds me of dad teaching me how to operate the MF 40 loader and how to place logs on the truck.
Reminds me of my first time driving a Deere loader in the late 70s.My Grand Dad gave me a 2 minute lesson and away i went driving it behind him in his dump truck. Went good driving in the gravel pit until it was time to stop.No brakes. Lower the bucket graze the surface and all was fine. Thanks for the reminder of a nice time in life.
Tater, I get like that, and I'm 54. It's very brief then I'm back to myself, I think it's my relief valve to control my stress, it works and I don't lose my composer with anyone,. I liked the part with you and Jackson, he'll be able to look back at these videos and remember what great parents he had, and what a good upbringing he and his brothers enjoyed. I wish I had recorded my Parents, but I'm technology illiterate, my mom was a saint, but my dad taught me alot, he passed last month. Although you're your worse critic your a good man, stay safe Drivah
This is a great video for the younger generation I have days like that and it’s always when your behind and in a hurry Thanks for sharing everybody has their moments
Way to turn the everyday stress of life into a learning moment. I had an even when I was 16 where I destroyed something very special to me in some fit of rage and after the smoke cleared I realized it didnt help nothing to go ape shit over stuff.. Not to say the odd tool or cell phone didn't get tossed in the decades since, but I'm pretty good at holding my water until I cool off.
Everyone has them days your only human.you and boy brings back memories when me and my dad would go out where he worked and he let me run the equipment with him good times.
Wade that was what I needed a good laugh! My dad use to lose his pressure relief valve as a heavy concrete man running dump buckets off of cranes back in the good ole days before pump trucks! I use to laugh into my hard hat! He would buy beer at the end of the day and even before he took a sip he would say LORD FORGIVE THIS SINNER HELP ME UNDERSTAND! LOL!
I liked this message. We have all been there. For me it's usually when I'm skipping lunch trying to just keep moving. Even on the nicest of days my temper gets a flaring even easier it seems. We are always learning about ourselves and if you aren't then something isn't right.
Logger Wade I'm just so happy your back no matter what happens your a hard working logger I've been there and know all about it but thx for coming back
As a logger myself I understand your frustration, if it’s not the weather, break downs, mill shutdowns, outrageous insurance, no workers or just f’n bad luck it’s something else. Glad you showed it’s not all fun and easy days cause it’s far far from that.
Thanks for the video. You showed when you are overburdened and dont allow yourself time to relax a few minutes problems start compounding and as you said you generally hurt yourself or others either either physically or verbally. I learned when pressure starts to build, walk away take a break and reevaluate the situation. I generally make up the time at the end of the day through clear thinking. And remember no matter what happens sometimes S**t just happens Take care Stay safe
Wade nothing like family time together I remember when my kids was that age. Now they're grown and have kids of their own. Wade cherish this time because they will be grown before you know it. Take care and GOD BLESS.
Wade .... that is so much like me .... things happen during the day - you are usually rushing or against the clock and you start t get frustrated - things keep piling up on you and you don’t even realize it and then bam!! You smash a finger or get whacked in the face and it’s all over - you are throwing things - smashing stuff - swearing your flipping head off - and when you come down off that rush you start to realize what you did ..... I get pretty hard on myself cause I know better - it’s embarrassing- I’m ashamed of how I behaved but in the end what can you do but brush yourself off and try to be better for next time. Thank you for sharing this - it takes guts to be real in front of so many - and buddy - you are the real deal
Wade I know just how you were feeling on that day. I work for a logging company in Oregon and I have had what we call a riggin fit. What caused my tantrum was it was like 98 degrees outside and we had to pull the skyline out up and down through three different draws to get to are tailhold tree. We got started yarding and about an hour later we pulled the tailhold right out of the ground. Needless to say my hard hat took a pretty good flight then I had to go and retrieve it. All said and done I had my tantrum then it was back to work. Funn times in the riggin
I understand your frustration with not hearing your son i too have the same issues with my son and like Jackson my son is my mimi me just be patient he's observing everything you are showing him
Whenever I get a bad day I always go back and watch this vid to remind myself that getting angry don't make anything better! I'm in my mid-forties and still have to vent sometimes even though it don't help 😂
I get it, You are absolutely correct. I don't loose it very often but when I do get out of the way. I said stuff one day my father has not heard since Vietnam. He was trying to dig a hole to hide in and he was not the only witness. There was a LOT of apologizing going on later that day. Some days are tough as a business owner, its best to take a long drive with no traffic and chill.
Pretty funny stuff there boy. You losing it over the simple things is great. "Logger Wade'' pissed off at his saw, priceless. We're all human and if a guy like you who has it all can go nuts because of the little simple preventible things, there is hope for us all. God bless you and your family, all of them.👍🚚
That's some pretty impressive combinations that you strung together of those naughty words 😂😂😂😂 sounds like your a professional wade!!!! But I totally get it wade somes days nothing seems to go the right way...way to preserve tho wade!!! Great video
What a laugh had a buddy use to sing that song while he was loading. Everytime I hear it on the radio I call his ph and play it for him then hang up lol.
Tater!!!! I thought I was the only one who threw ridiculous temper tantrums like that. I’m laughing so hard right now, half at you and half at myself because I know I look just as silly when I do it. Your the man. Thanks for being real.

I liked this message. We have all been there. For me it's usually when I'm skipping lunch trying to just keep moving. Even on the nicest of days my temper gets a flaring even easier it seems. We are always learning about ourselves and if you aren't then something isn't right.

And remember no matter what happens sometimes S**t just happens
Take care
