•Toxic people thrive on tension. Stop playing their game. Just refuse to engage.
•Refuse to give them what they crave ..... Drama!
Their nonsense is endless; so defending yourself foil their toxicity
    •Know when silence is necessary
    •Their opinion doesn't define you
•Stay focused on your purpose so you don't have the time for their nonsense.
•Treat toxic people like background noise
Do not gossip about toxic people

The part about forgiveness being a gift you give yourself, not the person who hurt you, really hit home for me. Letting go of resentment isn’t about letting them off the hook-it’s about freeing yourself to move forward. The analogy of a scar as a lesson rather than a burden is so powerful. Thank you for this empowering reminder!

Narcissist and toxic people who belittle you and dragged you down in powering you of all your agony, pains, struggle, disrespect you! I feel undervalued, unworthy and a failure. My daughter is doing the manipulation despite the facts about me being disabled, suffering from massive depressive disorder, Chronic anxiety disorder, chronic massive vertigo and chronic dislocated discs degenerative. IT REALLY HURTS MY EMOTIONS AND TORTURING ME MENTALLY DRAINED, UNLOVED. Forgiveness liberates you said; so why are my narcs winning …? To me forgiveness doubles the burden of the victim, whilst the narc walks away to start all over again…Forgiveness empowers narcs, and robs victims of everything …That’s because narcs thrive on forgiveness and accelerate the narcissism…
      I’m human not a deity… Let God forgive them… I can’t do that…
      I just shut down and re-strategize …
Forgiveness does not work with every narc…
Narcissists colonized Africa and South Africa lost their land because Mandela forgave the narcs and chose reconciliation …That’s why Black South Africans suffer to this day…

Thanks for these videos. Sometimes social awkwardness exacerbated can make a person blab too much, have no boundaries which results in low esteem.
To have these videos full of wisdom and practical explanations are like a road map.
When you hear what you go through is the same as others, u take it less personally and then you can study what to do, how to handle yourself, and exact answers. There really are a few answers that will get you out of any awkward situation. Not over apologising is very important..
Shyness can cause a lot of problems, but having a step by step path to follow, and red flags/scenarios spelled out is giving me bulletproof confidence.
I used to sit at the office lunch table swinging between longing to be as vivacious & witty as one colleague, and resentful she'd talk over me. Then I'd try tell a story and my awkwardness would mean it fell flat, or I'd overshare- not good.
Now I am cool as a cucumber, sometimes say nothing, except to inquire how a quiet colleague is. I notice if I tell one tiny story now, with a slight humour, it is much better received.
I think social graces can be learned, and may need to be relearned returning to the office after a career break.

This! It actually helps to talk about it with someone that is going through the same, so as to let it out (not bottle it up) and develop strategies on how to deal with said toxic person, specially if it’s at work, and specially if the toxic individual is in management and can seriously undermine you. To be able to sit with another co-worker that is also a target if their toxicity, first to voice it out and confirm it (so there is no gaslighting by the toxic element) and then to develop strategies and exchange ideas on how to handle the person can make all the difference, both to one’s mental health and overall survival in the work place. So, as you said, discussing it with someone else that is also having to suffer the same toxic individual, is not gossiping, it’s actually paramount to survival at times.

I had a narcissistic mother that passed away 2 years ago. 30 years ago after finishing tertiary education, I moved away from the town and province I grew up in to put some distance between us. She kept phoning me unannounced all hours of the day and night, and if I didn’t answer she would give a passive aggressive tone when we spoke again. It drove me insane. Then 10 years ago, I stopped all visits, and put her on terms. She could phone me once a month on the
AST Sunday of every month, and I promised to answer. any other time I could not promise that I would answer. She tried a few times and then stopped as she realized I had set boundaries. After that, I found total peace and could get on with my life.

Thank you for the eye opener. Currently dealing with a toxic mother-daughter
situation. Thank you for the latter part of the video. I was ready to post on toxic people on my whatapp as a way to fight back, knowing she would read the post. But I chose to rise above her tactics. Instead I will apply the wisdom you have shared with the world. There are many people dealing with toxicity within families. Better to lose a blood relationship than to lose your peace, your mind, your power and yourself. Always knew toxic people act out of their pain. What boggled my mind is why they make you the source of all their struggles and failures.

8 Ways to Protect Yourself from Manipulative People:
1.Recognize Their Tactics: They may use guilt, gaslighting, or flattery to manipulate you.
    2. Trust Your Instincts: Your feelings are valid; take your doubts seriously.
    3. Set Clear Boundaries: Say, "I don't want to discuss this," and keep your distance.
    4. Avoid Over-Explaining: Respond with short, clear answers without justifying yourself.
    5. Keep Emotional Distance: Stay calm and neutral, and don’t seek their approval.
    6. Empower Yourself: Surround yourself with positive people and trust your values.
    7. Keep Conversations Focused: Don’t let them divert the topic; end the conversation if needed.
    8. Walk Away if Necessary: Protect your mental health by cutting ties if required.

I really needed this ! I just wish i could of listened to it awhile back but tonight was probably the best time. .. these past few years has tought me more than anything, i use to be so tempered, & judgemental ! Everyone has feelings & everyone goes through theyre own problems with life . Ive learned that everyone handles things differently, i can be a whinney ass , being hurt is the WORSE FEELING IN THE WORLD & I DO PRAY I NEVER FEEL THAT AGAIN.. . I THOUGHT IT WAS NEVER GOING TO GET EASIER , AFTER I LISTENED & TOOK THE ADVISE FROM THIS MESSAGE IT NOT ONLY MADE ME FEEL BETTER IT ALSO SHOWED ME THAT MY FUTURE IS GOING TO BE EASIER FROM HERE ON OUT BC FORGIVG helped the healing & my heart started actually getting healthier stronger & wiser . ❤❤❤❤

I had a narcissistic mother. I couldn't get rid of her while living under her roof . She passed in 2016. My sisters still believe everything she said. My family is all about drama.

This message of forgiveness is EXACTLY what we all need to do. Realize too that we are one, we are all one. Avoiding people is not the answer because you are expressing resentment. Forgive. Jesus said, pray for your enemies and bless those who persecute you, bless them. I made a list in my daily journal, I wrote, Father I love ____, I forgive him/her, please bless him/her. Now did I mean it that first day, no but I wanted it because I understood Jesus message and believed him. In time, I saw a miracle, each person I had been praying for completely changed. In time I realized their treatment of me was a gift to me because I learned the importance of forgiveness and following Jesus word, and I realized, they took on the role of my adversary in order to teach me to forgive, to have unconditional love and true joy. I have read the Bible straight through 5 times and partly hundreds. And have read ACIM 3 times and worked through the lessons once. ACIM is on audio on UA-cam . It is hard to understand but truth rings through. After doing the lessons, it is clear.

Christianity is a falsehood, but Scripture across all cultures is truth.
Your intuition is guiding you well. Love is the way to perfection. That's Jesus' own words.

Hi Thank you for this vlog.
    So well explained 🙏
I had been in toxic people all my life family & then in laws manipulatiors.
Until I found a mentor , meditator i awakened from my sleep but the moment these ppl got to know as I had been a dependent female was brought up like that.
They started dragging me down like crabs but not from the front
Very passively and bcoz I was not mature & a people pleaser I always gave up my priorities for them
To the extent I never had a priority but just them
A day came when I started having outbursts and they started calling me toxic and yes it did seemed so but I know what’s the truth I didn’t know how to create a boundary and when they lived toxicity as passive & as a norm when my soil was fertile o took it unconsciously as I thought they were my tribe.
Today I suffer from triggers & anger and they sit giving me a certificate I was toxic from day one
My outbursts are that everything creative I took on instrument learning, dance, gardening they quietly adapted that but made sure I suffer in it. Very subtle ways the only mistake was I didn’t know how to set boundaries bcoz when I bolded said No I was judged
Badly. They cornered me & i was isolated. I hv been crippled emotionally & also as to operate in the world as I could do anything consistently due to first being suppressed and serving others through manipulation & now through outbursts
    Mediation & therapy has helped
    I will survive.
