This video reminded me of a time when I had to set boundaries with a toxic coworker. Applying patience and focusing on what I could control made all the difference. Great advice here-thank you!

The part about forgiveness being a gift you give yourself, not the person who hurt you, really hit home for me. Letting go of resentment isn’t about letting them off the hook-it’s about freeing yourself to move forward. The analogy of a scar as a lesson rather than a burden is so powerful. Thank you for this empowering reminder!

Stay calm, set firm boundaries, and don't let toxic people destroy your peace. Is choosing to focus on your own growth while staying away from their negativity the best strategy?

Forgiveness liberates you from resentment but doesn’t mean excusing behavior or allowing further harm. Instead, it’s about learning from past betrayals and protecting your peace while not forgetting the lessons that keep you safe.

They thrive in the cracks in your boundaries, like bacteria feeding in food left out of the fridge.

I had a narcissistic mother that passed away 2 years ago. 30 years ago after finishing tertiary education, I moved away from the town and province I grew up in to put some distance between us. She kept phoning me unannounced all hours of the day and night, and if I didn’t answer she would give a passive aggressive tone when we spoke again. It drove me insane. Then 10 years ago, I stopped all visits, and put her on terms. She could phone me once a month on the
AST Sunday of every month, and I promised to answer. any other time I could not promise that I would answer. She tried a few times and then stopped as she realized I had set boundaries. After that, I found total peace and could get on with my life.

I had a narcissistic mother. I couldn't get rid of her while living under her roof . She passed in 2016. My sisters still believe everything she said. My family is all about drama.

Funny thing is toxic significant other of 21 years just came in and lay down at the bottom of our bed and started paying attention to this video. It was perfect timing. Lol He got disgusted lol and left the room.

I have been dealing with a to xic family members. I cut off communication and never responded to their disrespect and insults. They stopped harassing me and set an off limit boundary to me as well. 😅

Toxic people choose to be toxic. Are you saying you have chosen to destroy others.
I choose to life others up

@@CarolCote-kd2is I'm not sure I'll always be nice, I think there will be moments when I'm unintentionally toxic to someone. But now I'm trying to get rid of it.
