The problem with Sony's phone is that by the time they arrive on the stores, the competition may have a new model already. Yep they are very slow on logistics their phone to the stores.
20 years ago, who would have ever thought we would be describing Sony's phone department as a small/niche team considering the consumer electronics behemoth they once were (and still are with the Playstation and cameras).
They still are a behemoth of a company! In electronics and media. They just don't put much funding into their smart phone department because the competition is way too high and risky.
@@helenHTID I know they're still a massive company but they were ubiquitous in every sphere of consumer electronics when I was a kid (late 90s/early 00s). They have obviously cut back on the majority of their consumer electronics to focus on more profitable divisions. They ruled the roost with TVs, audio equipment and media and has a pretty successful Laptop and phone division. Now their TVs and phones are just made to remind a few people they still exist in those sectors.
Since Sony aren't really popular in the smartphone department, i feel like that gives them the freedom to try more ambitious stuff. I owned a sony xperia phone back in the day and it was an amazing phone. Hope they do something big in the near future.
I want to see this phone success because f*ck every android phone maker and Crapple. They keep making nonsense ugly piece of sh*t phone by making notch, water drop or whatever kind of bullsh*t is that, while at the same time removing feature such as Micro SD and 3.5mm jack audio. Sony showed that you can still makes bezel less phone without removing features in phone which exists for decade.
Personally, I have been very frustrated with newer smartphone cameras moving away from camera-like interfaces and function, and I like that Sony is using a more photographer-focused UI that leaves the editing to the user.
I'd like a hybrid. I'm into amateur photography and would love a true manual camera experience. That said, with two kids under 3, I really appreciate being able to get a quick, easy picture of good quality of rambunctious kids, that I'd otherwise miss with a fully manual camera. A hybrid would be best. All you really need is two software packages on one phone, it should've be that hard
So weird, why Sony's phone getting a lots of love in the comment section but the first thing I've seen in goole after typing "Sony phone" immediately followed by "failed" hmm.. The biggest improvement they made was having the camera app crash on you after 15 minutes so you can be spared the embarrassment of using this phone. If they are lucky enough in the next 5 yrs maybe Sony would finally appear on the top 20 list of best smartphone maker company...I really hope they can atleast sold 100 phone a year now that would be record breaking for them. If this keeps up maybe its time for Sony to hang the gloves and stick on creating a next level over priced televisions.
I bought a Sony Xperia III, since I wanted to support the underdog. Man, the headphone jack came in handy a few times. And the screen without a hole punch is...awesome. I love it. I want Sony to succeed, so I put my money where my ideals were. No regrets!
Sony Xperia forte is in its manual setting. They are not meant for automatic or point and shoot mode. They are for people who wanted to experience "professional camera" at the same time being creative in some ways.
Unfortunately not for every xperia, cant shoot manual mode fully, either you chose exposure manually or iso, the other is then forced automatically which gives zero freedom or Control over the shot, great auto mode in daylight, horrible night photos in my xperia 10 3
I think it is a disservice to other companies to call Sony "small". While it is true that their phone division isn't massive, they are an absolutely GIANT company with their hands in maybe more pies than Samsung. They should have no trouble putting in as much, if not more, money into R&D and optimization. Not to mention, they have a PS, which is almost all about software as the hardware comes from other companies. Sony should have no excuses for their lackluster software experience
They haven’t had as much luck within the smartphone departments as other companies have. It’s a risky endeavor and a bad financial decision to invest in such a saturated market, with no guarantee for success.
@@kelechiosuji5705 and yet, every time the Playstations end up beating the Xboxes in sales. Sometimes by a small margin (there is like a 5 million difference between the PS3 and thr Xbox 360) othertimes, it's not even funny (the ps4 has sold more than more than the Xbone 116 million vs 53 millions) even the PS5 is at the moment selling more than the series X/S even tho they are more available than the PS5, so you really have to wonder if having a better GPU and CPU is as much of an advantage for Microsoft than people says it is?
I have an older Sony phone (Xperia XZ2) and I have to say that Sony really know how to create a great interface, this is easily the smartest and easiest to use phone that I have ever owned, hopefully they are still leading the way there. In theory Sony should have a decent advantage for audio and video too.
I remember in 2014 buying the Sony Xperia Z3, I loved that phone, nobody else I knew had one and it looked and felt like a much more premium built android flagship compared to most of the competition then and had some great features for it's time, just a clean design, also makes me think of my other favorite brand of Androids at that same period the HTC M's, my HTC 10 was the last of the great HTC Flagship devices, hope Sony keeps pushing forward in the smartphone arena, they make cool designs and offer an alternative.
HTC one M8 was the greatest phone I’ve ever had. It literally was unmatched. Front speakers and metal casing, design. I loved it. Now not one phone makes me want it extremely bad. I didn’t even need a case for it. Why buy a beautiful phone if you just cover it up with a $20 case? The phone should be designed to not need one except just changing the color or adding outside features for cards or coins.
@@rhuckabee44 I agree, HTC flagships were my favorite android devices, my last two I had were the M9 and then the 10, I loved those phones, nothing like that all aluminum build, you could feel the quality, nobody did android like HTC, on top of the dual front facing speakers they had the DAC audio which almost nobody else offered, just great devices, it's ashame they're no longer producing, those were the days of actual variety.

Had a Z3 Compact and shut off all the radios except for LTE so that I could use it on Verizon’s network (used Google Voice for phone calls). I was so jazzed at the time, to this day it’s still one of my fav phones. The camera was the weakest bit, but overall it slapped
They are not competitive at all and they do not need to be. They know exactly what they are doing. They know who their customers and market are. I have been using Sony phones for almost my whole phone-using life. And I hope they keep doing this. The pricing too is perfect. It keeps the average Joe who is always concerned about money spent on unpopular phones, away from Sony phones. Anyone can buy Samsung and Apple phones given the money. But you need more than money to buy a Sony phone. And all the Genuine Sony fans know this and do not want to change that part about Sony marketing. Its like the difference between Buying a Lamborghini and any other sports car like Ferrari, Aston, McLaren. Any guy with money can buy a Lamborghini. And I am definitely not saying Lambo, iPhone, galaxy are bad products. And neither I am saying that Xperia, Ferrari, Astons are best products. My point is that some products are exclusive to Limited people who truly appreciate differences. Let Sony Xperia stay one of those product.

Although I understand the beauty of pre-processed photos, Sony has stated before that their ideal of photos is not processed, their idea is to hand over that assignment to the photographer.
That's.. a really cool thing. I like that. A lot. Too bad I got a s21 recently so I can't ever take authentic photos 😬 But this phone looks really good, and I really hope Sony survives in the smartphone market. The way they are going, I will consider them for my next phone for sure.

@@SuplexCityF5 it’s a phone not made for the average customer. So he’s not wrong, stop being a fanboy and realize most people don’t care about these features. A good enough camera, high quality software, and a normal looking phone. No one needs this kinda camera on a phone.
As a person who likes to tweak settings... I kinda like the idea of all the cameras on the Xperia having their own setting menus. The AI and auto tuned cameras in modern phones should have redundant manual option modes. _(all the options, not the limited stuff that look like them)_ One of my biggest issues is that with all the pixels in these new cameras, most of it is noise, the end result no better than a professional 1-3MP shot. So in most cases good enough, and fast, but they could be much better.

I own an s21 ultra, my previous phone was a Sony flagship. It only had a single camera but due to the pro mode the pictures look just as good as my s21 ultra despite being 4 generations behind it. It also had a 4k display and was the first phone to have 960fps slo mo. Sony has always been underrated for their phone's.
Тhey're not underrated, they just provide to powerfull specs with out normal optimization, like 4k screen, but in UA-cam to some how use that resolution they just oversharp total image which looks bad, and that 4k 120fps is just a gimmict, while the sensor is so small and it overheats so easily
That's definitely false lmao. Pro mode from a small sensor phone will never give you more or the same compared to a phone with good computational photography
And it also takes much more work and time to get a photo out of that Sony phone that looks as good as a point-and-shoot photo from an S21 Ultra. For the majority of people, that's not acceptable.
Sony has beautiful display and cameras and back in the day when we had physical buttons they had the best design especially in the Xperia s where the hardware buttons lit up and you could see the home and recents icon .... I love my sony mark 4. Sometimes, taking the camera brain out of the phone software and putting it into the input of the user is a big plus depending on who you ask. Me myself prefer the more manual experience, which is why I love my Sony phones, plus a headphone Jack, SD card port, things phones these days have forgotten about. Maybe I just want to take all my photos move it to SD card and plug that into my computer to dump it onto a massive 8tb HDD… with this phone i can and I have
We can't keep letting Samsung and Apple to control the cellular experience. The best example of this is Apple trying to go subscription based where you don't own the phone. You know damn well Samsung is just a few minutes behind and will do the same thing. I'm sure if given enough power so would Sony but we need a more competitive market now! I'm at the level of carrying two phones. I personally think it's where we are going as a society. Given that, I'm seriously thinking about using another manufacturer for my next phone. We need that company who actually listens to the consumer. If people want the 3.5 Jack back then do it. Stop trying to find new ways to screw the public by squeezing more money from them.
Samsung made fun of apple in ads for getting rid of the headphone jack and then turned around and did the same thing. Now almost every new phone has no headphone jack. They also copied apple and got rid of including a charger so ya apple is ruining not only apple but android as well.

I think LG should look after the way Sony is doing business in the mobile space - making niche smartphones which cater only to a specific audience. This might perhaps be the only way back for them if they ever want to come back.
If the camera takes what you actually see, that is the one single thing I wanted for years the most. Including night time, when I want to see the night, not artificial day. Coming from S21U... my next flagship might be exactly this.
Samsung and Apple phones use heavy AI software. It's not realistic as a Mirrorless or DSLR camera. This Sony phone shines when shooting in manual and in raw.... The way anyone who takes photography seriously
I just bought the S22 Ultra, upgraded from an S9+. I've only just heard about this Sony phone and while I certainly wouldn't swap it, I really want to try it out. Headphone jack, SD CARD, that is big thing, I want an SD card. It's display is 4k, more than the Ultra. It's processor is Snapdragon, which is apparently better than my Exynos Ultra. If I had money I'd buy both.
The thing about the image quality which is explained fairly well in this video, but not well enough is that the phone itself is meant for professional use, they don't focus on the utomatic features of the camera, because learning how to use the manual settings is quite easy on this phone, AND once you learn to use them, it competes with the iPhone 13 Pro Max easily! The potential in this phone is so much bigger than most people see, and Sony will definitely become much bigger now!
I think you are missing the point of a smart phone. the average consumer just wants an easy to use interface and not have to mess about with manual settings. Whilst the Sony looks tempting, I would much prefer the Samsung interface with intelligent automatic settings. A professional camera is a professional camera. A phone is a phone
@@spaceman111 That's the crux of it, most people who use their phone for photography are 'happy snappers', a photographer wants the creative process and experience from start to finish. I use my Huawei P30 Pro for quick snaps and fun photos but for professional images my Canon 5D
Every complaint I heard was regarding the average consumer experience. I feel this is more geared toward the professional that really knows how to get the best from their equipment. For example you mentioned no night mode but clearly it's in the pro app if you use the settings to get the desired look you want to achieve. I think Sony is doing good in their approach. This phone is definitely geared to a specific consumer/professional market or those interested in learning about it.
When LG ceases to release updates for my V60, this may be an enticing upgrade for me. While I'm unsure if any other phone on the market will ever match and/or incorporate the complexity and attention to the audio playback like the V series, I'm all about hanging onto the headphone jack as long as I can!
Man, I was looking forward to the LG V70, I'm pissed at LG for not marketing their phone more cleverly. Their phones where overkill compared to the mainstream crap out today.
Here's my thoughts on the modern phone cameras. Too artificial. When I am looking at an object I expect the camera to take the exact picture. Not just make the thing bright, flashy new. People just made it standard for phone cameras to recreate the picture in attractive way. I appreciate the improvements of the Ai and technology but making things unrealistic is not something I prefer. Almost all of us like to live in a false world.
I agreed, I want my picture natural, just the way the real image is, I don't want any filter, flashy or AI doing, that's why Sony will forever remain my number one smartphone brand
Overheating is one negative aspect of any Sony smartphones, I noticed this when I maximize the performance of 4k video recording and gaming from my previous Xperia Z

Sony does create the best designs I've seen on smartphones. Quality is almost always premium, at least their flagships. But their support is trash and as someone said further down. By the time their phones come out, there's already a whole new generation of phones from other companies.
Sony's customer support is abysmal compared to Apple's and Samsung's. Love Sony smartphones! Would have gotten the Mark II but it wasn't available here, so went with the OnePlus 7 Pro. Next upgrade for me will definitely be the Mark IV, by end of this year or the next!
I used to own the Xperia 10 IV, there were many features that I liked about this phone but as a mid range phone it was way too underpowered and slow in my view than other phones within this segment. However the key thing here is Sony Xperia phones only come with 2 years of software support which is the lowest out there and if your spending £500-£1000 on a new phone that is only going to last you two years, it makes no financial sense (poor investment). On the other hand Samsung phones, many of their phones provide 5 years of software support, which makes more sense so no Sony is not better. If money is no object and you want to change your phone every year then no problem. £500-£1000 your talking iphone money here and Apple also provide 5-7 years software support, why would you go for one that only provides two years before you have to buy another phone?
I really wish phone companies would stop this stupid trend of giving less things in the box, especially when they're keeping the prices of the phones more or less similar. It really cheapens the experience of buying something that's supposed to be the top of the line, end all be all product of the company.
From other coverage I've seen, this is only the case with the pre-production sent to reviewers, the real production one will come with a charger and, presumably, more.
Your reviewing is on point. When you started, I 100% wanted the Sony, at the camera review, I want the Samsung now. Very few reviewers make you feel so emotional towards a device and still convince you how another device is the better option.

Around 85% of the time I like how Samsung pictures come out but sometimes I want it to look exactly how I’m seeing it before the shot, and afterwards it just gets ruined and changes everything about the perfect picture. Can we just applaud a flagship phone for having a headphone jack and SD card tray? they should have gone the whole hog and had a user replaceable battery too.
Most importantly they still give you SD card and a jack. Really Samsung has no excuse why they can't give you the option to have the storage you want when paying over a thousand for a device. I do kinda hope it also comes in white though...
Their pricing keeps me from wanting to get one. If mainstream carriers started selling their phones again, Im sure they would do well. If I could knock out $1000 over 24 months, yeah, I’d get one. And they finally seem to be making steps to get the camera better. The Xperia Z line devices were my favorite Sony phones, the ZL was my first.

I actually always appreciated it, that the Xperria isn't doing so much processing and stuff to images and Videos. It gave me the opportunity to do that myself. Maybe its just me, but smartphone footage mostly looks so artifical and overprocessed.. for me it is a nightmare to work with, everytime someone wants me to make a video out of footage from something like a Sony a7III or an fx6 and to mix that with something shot on an Iphone 13 or so. I agree, that the AI processing is pretty amazing, and out of the box the Samsungs and iphones have a much more pleasing image quality. But most of the footage shot on those devices is still very easy to determin as "Smartphone footage" because everything is way to sharp, colors are to bright and they almost always seem to mess up skin-tones. I always liked, that my Xperia XZ2 kind of skipped that process to produce a more "realistic" image. Or probably I just don't want the image AI to become better, because in the End it means that I will loose my Job. I mean, who needs expensive post-production and grading and stuff, if the AI in your phone is doing the job. xD

Only found out about this phone today and already looking for one to buy. The headphone jack alone spoke to my heart, not to mention I owned a sony phone before and loved it.
One of my first phones was a Sony Xperia that I couldn’t remember the model. It was the best phone I had back then, I really like what sony offered back then. I wonder what I’d feel now.
Love that they still don't have the stupid notch, punch hole and crazy rounded corners :) But they're still so expensive though. Maybe they should target the affordable market.
Very well produced and informative comparison, thank you. I would never spend a thousand dollars to buy a phone with no headphone jack and a meager 128Gb of memory, so Samsung isn't even on my short list. A brand-new S22 Ultra 128Gb model only has 88Gb of free memory when you un-box it. The OneUI and other Samsung crapware consume nearly 20Gb of a Samsung's memory, and you can't delete most of it. (Pixel 6 has 108Gb free space out of the box). I enjoy high fidelity music with my phone, and that requires a good DAC and a headphone jack.
The irony that the Sony takes worse photos than the Samsung is that the Samsung S22 Ultra uses Sony sensors, as do almost every phone. Edit : someone claimed it was a Samsung sensor this is wrong it uses Sony Exmor IMX754
@Jamie Ibrahim well Exmor and Samsung claim S22 Ultra has a Sony Exmor IMX754 in it and I don't think they got that wrong, please delete or amend your comment so you don't spread misinformation

20 years ago, who would have ever thought we would be describing Sony's phone department as a small/niche team considering the consumer electronics behemoth they once were (and still are with the Playstation and cameras).
And tv’s and medical equipment
They still are a behemoth of a company! In electronics and media. They just don't put much funding into their smart phone department because the competition is way too high and risky.
Nokia's department is even smaller now than it was before.

@@helenHTID I know they're still a massive company but they were ubiquitous in every sphere of consumer electronics when I was a kid (late 90s/early 00s). They have obviously cut back on the majority of their consumer electronics to focus on more profitable divisions. Now their TVs and phones are just made to remind a few people they still exist in those sectors.

Yep, one of the reasons why my phone is a phone and my full frame camera is my camera!

That's where xbox comes in to beat them in terms of cpu and gpu power :)
Samsung is an absolute behemoth of a company, they make so many random things to the point of absurdism, for example, they make tanks.
No Samsung is definitely bigger.
I have an older Sony phone (Xperia XZ2) and I have to say that Sony really know how to create a great interface, this is easily the smartest and easiest to use phone that I have ever owned, hopefully they are still leading the way there. In theory Sony should have a decent advantage for audio and video too.
Yes but XZ1 premium is way better than xz2.

Sony's been in the business a long time, I genuinely hope this is the start of them finally becoming competative.
They lack competition, they had more than a decade to do so, they should gave up at this point like LG on smartphones. Apple & Samsung are too big.
Absolutely the best review out there, i have seen so many influencers giving biased reviews, this one here is pure comparison of the two phones, I'd say the only thing you missed was the camera functions of a sony alpha camera, when we switch the mode from basic to, shutter speed priority or auto, or manual, we get to set the ISO, shutter speed, AF, and eveything that we can do in an actual DSLR.
only holds true if you're lucky enough to have the snapdragon version of the s22 ultra ...
Sony does create the best designs I've seen on smartphones.
Quality is almost always premium, at least their flagships.
But their support is trash and as someone said further down.
By the time their phones come out, there's already a whole new generation of phones from other companies.
Nah other smartphones have good much better design then Sony and much better quality than sony
Sony's customer support is abysmal compared to Apple's and Samsung's. I've had instances where Samsung will replace a product for free outside of the warranty period for some issues, while Sony will refuse to refund/replace a product within the warranty. Things might have changed but that's just my experience.
@@theoutcastvirus2792 also, while talking about hardware: we stopped repairing Sony phones in our stores altogether. They are somehow always breaking when you repair them, change the battery and some mic dies, swap a screen and all of a sudden WiFi not working. Stuff like this should never happen (we only employ trained technicians btw, so they know what they're doing). It's just Sonys internal shit design that leads to this.
I myself have stopped buying Sony products when they butchered the PS portable family and the Vita. Sony literally lost me as a customer forever.
@@theoutcastvirus2792 well that's aload of tosh.
@@adithyansunil1153 Design is subjective. I do like Sony's take. Clean, classy and very practical. Again, very subjective.
Xperia Z1 compact was my first true smartphone and wow was it a beauty, I keep taking my case off because I love it’s design so much. Hope Sony succeeds in the mobile market.
You could tell Sony is trying to make a comeback with the Phone industry. They want that a piece of the pie.
I got Sony Xperia 5II few weeks ago and I am pretty happy with it. It got Android 12 update and works smoothly. I really wanted headphone jack and SD card slot and Sony was the only high end model that offered it that was in my budget. Though I got it for cheep, I don't think I would buy it for full price.

You have a talented team Arun! Loving the effects, transitions, and text animations all around, freaking tremendous!
At 6:25 the photo comparisons between the two cameras, I felt that the Sony Xperia images were consistently better, in every way other than reducing lens flare.
Sony is trying their damn hardest to buck the losing trend in the smartphone market. I wish Sony all the best with their future smartphone endeavors.

@@vijeykumar7429 well worth
Love Sony smartphones! Would have gotten the Mark II but it wasn't available here, so went with the OnePlus 7 Pro. Next upgrade for me will definitely be the Mark IV, by end of this year or the next!
I'm not paying 1600$ for the mark IV. Maybe 1000$
Mark IV is having overheating issues because of the poorly made SD 8G1, better wait for Mark V as 8G2 seems to be much better
So true...
This is probably more of a prototype phone.
From other coverage I've seen, this is only the case with the pre-production sent to reviewers, the real production one will come with a charger and, presumably, more.
I just add the price of the products that are supposed to be in the box like the charger and that would be my phone price
So true. Yet companies are so proud of it
Your reviewing is on point. When you started, I 100% wanted the Sony, at the camera review, I want the Samsung now. Very few reviewers make you feel so emotional towards a device and still convince you how another device is the better option.
same. I was so impressed with the display, the headphone jack and expandable memory but then I got to the camera esp night mode shots and confusing menus that completely put me off :'D
I bet it will be just as expensive as the rest of the flagships too.
If you prefer heavily processed photos, then Sony Xperia is definitely not for you.
Because he is so wrong, its not meant to be such a phone that Arun is talking about, its not even a competitor to them. Its their own thing, a very manual phone thats more pointed towards those who know how to take full advantage. For a normal user its such an overkill, but its good if you want to study photography or just know the biz.
@Chad OT Do they have headphone jack and microSD, dual sim?
@@zee9276 To be fair to the Sony phone the camera app is less for those that just want the best result by taking a quick photo and more for those that love photography and will learn how to use those features. And this guy is more the first type of user. I mean he uses iPhone as primary.
The other type can sit and play with the Sony phone and he will probably find ways to get much better results than what the guy making this video got. This guy only showed you what you typically get when using the phones simplistically. Not when you explore their abilities.
Around 85% of the time I like how Samsung pictures come out but sometimes I want it to look exactly how I’m seeing it before the shot, and afterwards it just gets ruined and changes everything about the perfect picture. Apple does the same thing too with no way of turning that off. Still happens in Raw mode and with all enhancements turned off
thank you for the warning.
I feel like I'm watching an apple conference: "it is beautiful" ; " it's special" "phenomenal" "incredible" a lot of big words.
Dislike the comment above me
Now there is another company which people have an insane impression of. I wouldn't trust either Sony or Apple these days. They've both just become ripoff artists.
I used to have a Sony Xperia Ion smartphone, one of the first smartphones in the market. And i have never seen more vivid photos being captured from any other phone i have held since. It only had a 12MP camera but awesome software. I don't get the same quality in my 48MP Camera, which evidently has a Sony lens right now. 😌 I wish Sony came back on the smartphone scene with a bang.
No one will talk about how precisely Arun stopped at "69" burst photos 😂😂 5:10

Most importantly they still give you SD card and a jack. Really Samsung has no excuse why they can't give you the option to have the storage you want when paying over a thousand for a device. Sony should make a comeback in the budget or midrange category too..
Yeah Xperia 10 definitely needs improvements.
That's the best laugh I've had all day. Sony doesn't do budget. They never have and never will.
They announced the 10 iv as well. It's not their phones, it's the lack of subsidizing from carriers. In the US, most(?) people just go to their carrier and get whatever's free.
@@SomeOldGamers That's strange for a company that first got a foot in the market by making decent cheap TV's and then with the Walkman that was quite a cheap way to have your music with you and then made the CD that made music disc much more affordable than vinil and even now make their best money on cheap gaming by selling a console that you can buy and play much cheaper than a PC and that broke into the market as PS1 by being cheaper than the competition.
Maybe they should get their head out of their ass and look how they always made money.

In terms of camera, I'm only hoping it will be one that shines when used in manual mode. If it has good (for a phone) hardware and an app that lets you set everything manually, then I think it will be great in hands on someone who knows what they're doing.
I do kinda hope it also comes in white though...
They have a rendering on the product page of black, purple and silver. No option to pick the sivler though.
1:14 now, any kid can stole my sim card or sd card lol
I really love the design, also owning a sony is niche in a nice way these days. Also love the possibility to use it like an actual camera.
Get a credit card and you can do that with whatever you want...
I prefer to buy my phones outright, then my carrier has nothing over me and it's MY phone, not their phone I'm just using. Don't kid yourself, if your paying off a phone from Verizon, it's Verizon's phone until youre done.

Battery life could be better, but I won't complain. I don't take many photos but Sony does do a respectable job. The only reason I have considered an upgrade is ultra wide 5g. I still have trouble believing Sony didn't support that in the 1iii. I haven't looked to much into the iv, but if it does sorry uw5g I may get it. 8:45 pretty sure you're using the camera wrong. You can hold down the shutter button to instantly open the basic camera app. You can shoot portrait mode by just rotating the camera. You can switch to front camera by tapping on the switch to front camera button at the top right. Rotate for desired mode. Any other apps are for enthusiasts who want finer controls for their cameras.
I mean, who needs expensive post-production and grading and stuff, if the AI in your phone is doing the job. xD
