so. ive had this song in my drafts since.. sometime in fall last year? and i wanted to finish it up to get it off my chest. this is probably the most nervous i've felt about sharing a song, this one is very personal haha

as someone who's been through so much trauma to the point where I just straight up wait for whenever the next traumatizing event to happen to me is: same
I wish there was more attention being brought to people suffering from intrusive thoughts but then I remember that when I am not on medication the mention of intrusive thoughts causes me to be haunted by them
This isn't really about the the songs meaning itself but I adore how you tune and write your songs. The tuning itself is very clear and it's easy to make out words. The lyrics are also great, feeling simple but not too simple to be vague. I'm very glad to have been recommended your channel since it feels like a diamond in the rough. Hope you stay strong my dude and hope you're at least living life a bit happier.

god i adore how bass-y the song is in the relapse parts, and how conflicting it is recovering from such a mindset thats been dug in so hard, bc you know its wrong but at the same time its hard to feel as if its actually wrong yk-
It's so nice hearing other people trying to string together Ritsu English. I like her voice against this otherwise oddly mellow instrumental too!
i have never heard a song that portrays this feeling so well, especially of feeling disturbed by being treated with care and safety, due to a painful love being the only one that feels real and 'exciting'.
as someone who's gotten help from a mindset of abuse, this is very cathartic to listen to, and i'm glad you decided to share it and get the feelings off your chest.
even though this is an older song, I love how this and your more recent music portrays feelings that i havent seen expressed much, and lets people who have been through similar things know that they aren't alone in these feelings and experiences.

thank you??so much???just for. idk. making music and deciding to make music and making this specifically. i just wanted you to know that it made me feel a lot less alone in my experiences of abuse and moved me very deeply, its absolutely beautiful and i love it so so so so much. thank you for making this. it has genuinely helped me so so much. i love all of your work and am super excited to see the new stuff you'll be putting out!!!!
Man, this is absolutely incredible. Not only is the main melody just an overall bop, the harmonies and the backing tracks give this track a vibe of retributive justice. One of the backing sounds first used at around 0:25 (sounds sort of like a piano?) gives the effect of the tolling and ringing of a death knell... symbolizing the death unto oneself, the execution of ego. The way the composition ebbs and flows, and then get disrupted really pushes the feelings of dissociation and guilt. However, the changes in tempo and interruption never get in the way of the listening experience and instead bolsters it. I especially love the part at 0:55, as if building upon the purposefully contradictive nature of some of the lyrics. What do those symbols say actually? I am curious. I also find it ingenious how some of the backing assets (like bell/piano sound effect I mentioned earlier) get turned on its head during the alternating of chorus and verse structures. At parts you create an effect of something more cloying and sweet such as at 1:00 when the tone is completely switched to something more enchanting and chill...which is not long-lasting, quickly speeding up and swelling into something more confusing and chaotic- a brief moment of respite. The last iteration of the chorus bit combines both the elements of self-imposed chaos/judgement with the saccharine temptation of human connection to form a cohesive blend of well-utilized compositions, wrapping up the song nicely. Namine Ritsu's voicebank is also used to great effect here. Their voice is composed and clear most of the time yet has a tinge of desperation in it when they hit higher notes that really fit the tone of the song. The tuning is also mind-bogglingly good. All in all, I can't wait to have this play rent-free in my head the next couple of days.
I'd also like to mention how cool the art is! I love the character's design/expression and the background looks psychedelic and aesthetic a f.
THANK YOU SO MUCHHHHH i know i already responded to u on discord but i seriously cant express how much this whole paragraph means to me!!!! stuff like this is why i keep making music.... and the symbols at the part b4 the chorus are wingdings!! i wanted to encourage viewers to decode it for themselves, but i know everyone isnt as into puzzle-solving/cryptic stuff as i am, so i dont mind revealing the lyrics; ritsu says "cut me up and see what comes out, make me cry and savor the sound, stitch me up before i get found, save me for another round". its essentially just another lyric highlighting the repetitiveness of abuse and how it rarely happens only once, at least in my experience. not to deter anyone from finding their own meaning in it..! :D and once again, i cant thank you enough for all this praise and ur constant supportiveness!!!!!
regardless of the meanings of the song this is really good, and i hope you are able/have been able to move forward from the feelings trauma leaves.... to anyone relating to a song like this- i know it is very hard, it always takes time, and falling backwards in progress doesnt ruin the attempts you make to recover.

this kicks so much ass. been binging all your stuff lately, and this one is just so very intense thematically and musically. the really unsettling discordant piano during the chorus is one of my favorite bits, it feels so panicked and really carries a lot of weight with the lyrics. absolutely adore your stuff, and I'm very glad you felt comfortable to share this one!

(^^ ') but thank you so so much!!! unfortunately, i have no clue how to play piano, although i would love to learn someday... im not too knowledgeable with music theory in general; i just rely on my ears and a few years of school choir XD i compose using either an online midi sequencer or the midi sequencer in logic pro! ^^
