In the context of the series, she’s not “disposable’ at all-actually, it’s the exact opposite. It provides the groundwork for which all the other songs come from. Although she feels useless, she is the first one to be heard, the first one to be seen, the first one to be sympathized with. I find some comfort in that. It makes me think that not all hope is lost-not just for Disposable Girl, but for all the characters.
since tptm has come to an end i wanted to take a moment to come back here and comment on smth i noticed a while ago. at around 2:54 you can faintly hear a sample from the ending of breaking things into pieces by kikuo, and i think it has a symbolism of jordyn being broken down by other people, and believing she is a broken person. but a main theme of breaking things into pieces is the protagonist not only breaking things, but repairing them. and while the protagonist of breaking things is unable to repair themself, jordyn ends up repaired despite the initial break. its a very poetic ending

Y'know, I find her design a bit tragic in a way. She seems to, as a way of wording it, meet the societal image of beauty (thin, light skinned, blonde, etc).
