Me: My Squat technique is ok I guess ! Brian: *uploads* Me: I know nothing. Thanks Brian for this (once again) really helpful video ! Can't wait to try these cues out. Wish you all the best ! (Oh and...Of course we'd like to hear more about your medical journey !)
Most people on UA-cam and the fitness world give off this " Supernatural " persona. Showing you are a normal, every day person with problems and health issues would be a breath of fresh air. By all means, please share your recovery
I think a lot of us subs care deeply about your health and well being and would welcome any info that you wanted to share. Also, really appreciate the technique training on squatting. You and Mr. Thrall are helping me get back to squatting after many years of spinal problems. I had given up on them (gave away my squat rack!) but between low bar and the great technique training you guys provide I'm getting comfortable with them again. Thanks!
Greetings Brother...Namaste. So glad to hear you're on the mend. I vote for the documentation of your treatment, and look forward to seeing the finished product at the Sundance Film Festival...think about it. Shine On 🙏🏻
Brian, seeing you bending inward the PVC pipe and then military press with it as you're exploding upwards brings it together for me. That was one missing component. I was pulling the bar inwards, but I think being more mindful of would help me a lot more. I'm going to get one to practice on. Thank you, man! It's good to hear you're recovering! Good for you!!! Yes, hearing about the recovery process would be beneficial. Thank you!
Super interested in seeing the medical updates. And I’m super excited for you that you are making some progress with your health! Looking forward to seeing you come back better than ever!! Be strong and courageous.
Fuck yeah I would love to hear all your interested in sharing on your recovery.. you have done so much to help others and I'd love to see your own personal growth and improvement! I'll watch each one.
Brian! We are all interested in your road back, two meals a day now is a hell of a leap! You're already looking better too. Keep up the hard work and great content. I cant wait to see you kick some ass this summer!
I'm recovering from a frozen shoulder, been out of the gym for a while, and getting back in. My shoulder mobility needs some serious work, but even before the injury I could have focused on *all* of the stuff you mention in this video. So thank you, you are an amazing teacher!
Yes Sir! I would find it super interesting to hear more about how you are doing, so i would appreciate you documenting it. Hope you are completely fine soon!
I think seeing you show and talk about what you're doing could be really inspiring for other people dealing with difficult health issues. Keep getting better brother.
Been going through these videos again, and just noticed i started do the minus pinky finger grip without hesitation. Didnt know it was a thing! These videos are awesome and taking alot of useful information. I couldn't front squat without doing the zombie, back squat without flairing elbows back (pterodactyl) and never thought of gripping the bar as hard as possible and it does help! Thanks alot!
Brian, I rarely comment on UA-cam videos, but I’ve been watching your stuff for half a year now. I believe your videos have helped a LOT, and I’m keen to try the military press sort of thing on my back squats tomorrow. Thanks for posting so frequently, comprehensively and... interestingly! Love your style, man.
Brian, definitely document the process, there are more people affected by this type of condition than is known. Excellent squat advice!!!! Spot on. Feel better sir.
After following your journey for the past few years, I for one would love to hear more about your recovery. Seeing how you overcome adversity is always an inspiration.
Brian these are great tips, honestly I would say the “squat” is what I struggle with the most. Thankfully in strongman comps here we haven’t had to do a squat event 😬. HOWEVER I know it pays to be a well rounded athlete! Gonna have to take some notes with me to the gym haha.
I vote for sharing your recovery journey. It's been great to follow along so far. So glad to hear the underlying issue has been found and you are already seeing improvements.
I'd absolutely love to hear about your medical treatments and comeback! That sort of thing is super interesting to me, and I think many people might get some inspiration and/or education from it. Whether you do that or not, just want to say that I'm so so glad to hear you're doing better--have low-key been super worried about you the last year or so.
I had not thought about the pressing element in the squat before, great tidbit Brian, thanks! Awesome info! Yes, I am interested in hearing about how your recovery is going, keep us updated because we care about you man!
Brian I love your content. If you can give us a video that you believe is good quality I will watch it. Keep up the good work man, I'm a fan. You got me into strongman!
Like a few others have said - Brian must have known it was leg day for me...lol. Gonna strip some pounds off the bar tonight and work on these cues for sure. I need to get my squat progressing again. As for the medical content, I'm up for seeing whatever it is that you're comfortable sharing with all of us. Glad to hear things are getting better for you.
You’re breathing and bracing video has helped me tons and your cheat sheet videos i listen to pretty much during every lift day. I would like to hear more about this 2 meals a day thing im a big eater but i dont like eating often or throughout the day. Have you heard of any powerlifters doing the 16:8 fasting method?
I'd love to hear about your treatments, rehab process and comeback. There are very few things that would brighten my day more than hearing that you are eating more, puking less and feeling better!
I could not agree more about "pressing" the bar up. I'm on your PowerBuilder program at the moment and today was squats day. Hit 95% of my previous 1RM for 5 reps, and this cue made all the difference. Thanks man!
Damn I just hit my squat PR today, was thinking about adding another 11lbs for a next attempt but bailed on it. I would have definitely went for it, had I seen your movie before. Super useful advice.
I do the opposite with my upper body on the upward potion of the squat. I pull down on the bar into the back rather than push up on the bar to maintain that tight core pressure. It seemingly works for me so far. Not completely related, but my rotator cuff tear (without surgery) has been worked through and much better. The pain is largely gone and just working through the weakness and potential scar tissue. But yes absolutely document the progress back.
I've been reading through Rippletoe's Starting Strength - which advocates for a low bar squat with palms over-top of the bar as opposed to gripped around it. I will definitely be trying your method as I can understand how keeping everything tight would aid in keeping your body rigid. Thanks for the tips and thorough explanations!
I recently went from a 20 kg squat to 35 kg squat over two weeks with your breathing and bracing tips (still a beginner), and that was without engaging my upper body the way you have explained in this video. Can't wait for my next leg day to try these tips out. Thanks a ton Brian!
Document all of it! It's such a unique thing to happen and could possible help someone else too. Also, do it for the views. P.S. I'm 5 weeks deep in the program I got from you and see such an improvement in all my lifts. BE DANGEROUS!
I just wanted to use this moment to thank you for everything, brian! You're an huge inspiration for me, and you have helped me so much in terms of lifting! My squat has increased by 40 pounds in just 3 weeks, doing your giant set format! Keep up the great work!
Always looking forward to the great content you put out Brian, and the medical updates would be awesome! Random question: Does anyone know what brand of Circus Dumbbell he has in the gym?
very interested in following your progress with your health. Great squat vid too I'd not heard some of those pointers before, definitely helps to hear it from other angles
Yes I wanted to see the recovery stuff, maybe even a thread bulking with Brian after. Had a lot of problems myself and it would be good to see what someone who knows what they are doing does.
Awesome video! I'd really like you to share your journey with us, just like you did in the come back series. You're being such a big inspiration for me, man. Thank you a lot!
Since I started lifting a year ago I've been squatting high bar and I can get my grip where the outside knurling starts at each end on a standard barbell. I can't get into this position with a low bar squat. For the majority of the time I've had the bar not as low as you but not directly on top of my traps. It's been a cm or so below that. But I'm testing out a higher bar position directly on my traps to help alleviate butt wink a little. When I first learned this technique from you about 10 months, I started pushing the bar up when ascending and bending the bar around my back when descending. But for some reason I didn't continue with it. I'm gonna try and reintegrate it again.
Hi Brian! Absolutely interested in your recovery journey too! And again: great squat tips, didn't know I should do the "pull the bar through you" before unracking. Doing it under load is definitely tough and not nearly as comfy, looking forward to working on that cue :D !
Great information as usual Brian. I do need to work at bringing my hands in closer, currently I'm having to work on rehab for a damaged MCL and patellar tendon. Looking forward to squatting again soon. Documenting your recovery would be interesting viewing👍
Definitely interested in your journey back to good health👍. Great video Brian. I've been squeezing that bar all the way down and up. So this video has been a great one for me to learn from👊
If you felt comfortable sharing your journey I would like hear updates about your medical recovery, best of luck
Absolutely would be interested in more medical documentation. I hope you get better fast man.
Me: My Squat technique is ok I guess !
Brian: *uploads*
Me: I know nothing.
Thanks Brian for this (once again) really helpful video ! Can't wait to try these cues out.
Wish you all the best !
(Oh and...Of course we'd like to hear more about your medical journey !)
Brian, I would definitely be interested in knowing more about the things you are doing to become more healthy. Please document and share.
Enduring666 Ditto 😂
Definitely interested in the extra comeback content Brian!
Pushing the bar up on the ascent of the squat has been a GAME CHANGER!
How's the parasite treatment going?
I think it would be interesting to see and some great knowledge would come with that process.
He lost weight because he cycled off gear
Big Trips Keepin it real bruh
Would definitely love to hear more about your recovery methods and supplementation
Most people on UA-cam and the fitness world give off this " Supernatural " persona. Showing you are a normal, every day person with problems and health issues would be a breath of fresh air. By all means, please share your recovery
My squat has really improved since i found your channel and after this video im sure its going to improve even more. Thank you for everything man
Did it improve
100% document it! I feel invested in the outcome after such a buildup!
I could definitely use more NEVERsate in my life. If you film it, I'm watching it.
I hope you beat this thing quickly brother

Shine On 🙏🏻
Hey Brian ya I’m definitely down to see you document your treatment process 🤘
Such an underrated channel! Brian consistently delivers tips that I rarely if ever hear other channels talk about.
If you're comfortable sharing, I'm happy to hear, glad you're making progress. Awesome video, thanks for the queues.
Your energy level in this video seems like the old days.
We are here for the ride with you, Brian; so that’s a “HELL YES!” from me for videos documenting your recovery 👍🏻
I'd love to hear about your recovery journey Brian! 👍
Brian talks so clearly I can see this on 1.5 speed and understand and I love it.
Listening to it at 2x speed and still works
These videos are absolute gold dust. No other yt resource drops stellar knowledge bombs as regularly as Brian 💪
Yeah, I’d be interested. If nothing else, just to know you’re on the mend. The world needs as many people like you as it can get
Super interested in seeing the medical updates. And I’m super excited for you that you are making some progress with your health! Looking forward to seeing you come back better than ever!! Be strong and courageous.

I am all for the recovery vids. You have the ability to make anything entertaining!
Yes, a mini series about your recovery is an excellent idea.
Yes Sir! I would find it super interesting to hear more about how you are doing, so i would appreciate you documenting it.
Hope you are completely fine soon!
Precious stuff! Words can not express how grateful I am to you for all the dedicated instructions you had given us - lifters around the globe!!...
I think seeing you show and talk about what you're doing could be really inspiring for other people dealing with difficult health issues. Keep getting better brother.
Bring on the comeback part 2, hell yeah. Plus today is squat day so now all I'm thinking is "be dangerous". Once again awesome information.
Been going through these videos again, and just noticed i started do the minus pinky finger grip without hesitation. Didnt know it was a thing!
These videos are awesome and taking alot of useful information.

Front squats are good for strongman too
I vote for sharing your recovery journey. It's been great to follow along so far. So glad to hear the underlying issue has been found and you are already seeing improvements.

I’ve never heard of trying to push the bar up like a behind the next press. That sounds so cool. I’ll have to try that.
I am amazed at how helpful your videos are-thank you!
Let's hear about it! Thanks for the content too! Good stuff!
Yes Brother! Please document! I would love to watch your recovery and progressions!
Definitely going to drill these cues after my bench workout tomorrow. Thanks Brian, wish you the best in your recovery
I'd love to hear about your treatments, rehab process and comeback. There are very few things that would brighten my day more than hearing that you are eating more, puking less and feeling better!

Very helpful tips man thank you! I'm glad your getting better and yes bro, please keep us updated
I learned so much from this channel to know my actual strength with proper form
Damn I just hit my squat PR today, was thinking about adding another 11lbs for a next attempt but bailed on it. I would have definitely went for it, had I seen your movie before. Super useful advice.

Yes to the medical and supplements and thanks for the pointers. Glad to hear your getting better or at least on the road to recovery.
Squat is my worst exercise and I have squats tomorrow. I plan on watching this video again later tonight. Thank you

Yes Brian keep us updated with how you’re doing!
Great video. I've never heard the tips for coming out of the hole. Will try these out!

Absolutely you should document it.
You should document it. There are other people who are dealing with these issues and it would be great for awareness.
Ya man for sure would love to see a documentary on your treatment and whatever it is you have going on!👍
Hi Brian! Absolutely interested in your recovery journey too! And again: great squat tips, didn't know I should do the "pull the bar through you" before unracking. Doing it under load is definitely tough and not nearly as comfy, looking forward to working on that cue :D !
Definitely interested in the additional content!
Great information as usual Brian. I do need to work at bringing my hands in closer, currently I'm having to work on rehab for a damaged MCL and patellar tendon. Looking forward to squatting again soon.

Would love to see how your recovery goes! So interesting, and we want to see you at 100%!! Great content as always keep up the good work!
Great vid Brian, just catching up on a lot of your content and this was like some of your old vids. Quality.
Going to definitely try out that explosive good morning military press idea I think it may be the key I was missing!
would love to see some documentation of treatments and everything else your doing outside of usual training in the gym
