Your video helped me with knee pain when squatting. I had good back position and form, but I wasn't able to get in the hole properly because my knee kept popping. When you explained consciously driving your knees forward towards your toes, it corrected whatever was happening in my knee. (Probably uncontrolled flaring in/out) So thank you my guy!
Squats are my last exercise. I usually do hip adduction, then leg curls, lastly leg extensions. That warms up every part of my legs before i go into the deep Squats. I really love this video! It really helped me get down my squat form. However, I don't really like the queue to push your gut out against your belt. The best queue for core bracing that I've found, is Alan thrall's queue of imagining someone is about to punch you in the gut. You definitely brace in a very similar way. Other than that great video! Love from New Mexico.
4:28 push through ur whole foot or through the middle of ur foot, not just the heel. 6:57 squat for strength, don't worry about squeezing muscles or feeling the burn or sth. 7:32 ur knees should go past the toes. 9:16 if u don't wanna squat, u can do leg press and lower back extensions.
I’ve never even felt my legs squatting cuz my lower back hurts so much, my form isn’t awful and I had a trainer for a while that said it was near perfect, damn rotated pelvis kinda kills my gains ngl
Thank you so much! I’m getting into powerlifting after being praised for my natural strength as a female. With bad form, my 1rm is 355lbs; however I am seeing so many mistakes I need to correct. Also, I’ve actually never dropped the bar while trying to get a 1rm so I may be able to do even more weight.
Ffs I’ve been doing half reps with heavy weights for months now like bro jeff and I only realized I was doing it when some guy at the gym reminded me of it.
This is surely the best tutorial for a squat I've ever seen. Lots of great UA-cam fitness gurus out there that I love, but I just want to call out this specific video from this specific UA-camr as being superlative. Thanks again, Jeff!
the weight of the bar pressing into my back is just painful, also sometimes my triceps and shoulders cramp when i hold the bad to squat. hopefully tho when i go back to school i'll be able to clean it up.
For almost 6 months every time I did the squat I would injure my lower back. This video and instructions have not only made it possible without injury, but my weight capacity just keeps increasing. Amazing!
On the bottom drive back up through bar head slightly forward Heel big toe even pressure on ground weight centered on middle of foot Eyes forward head up Breath in Hips and knees bend(out) at same time But straight down
Probably the most information squat video I have ever seen. Especially with keeping the back straight, and not letting the tailbone tuck or as he said, “the butt wink”.. which so many “personal trainers” seem to be okay with letting happen..
One of the best squat instructional videos. Thank you so much for your contribution to educating and providing accurate information amidst a sea of misinformation or half information.
When I focus good on form, and I've tried many variations, I get this pain I guess in the front of my hips. I'm pretty tall, 6'4. Got the bar where it should be, proper posture, depth, and I get this feeling in my hips like is be hurting myself over time. I'm not super flexible either
even when i was young and played sports, i never learned how to do these. i always used machines . i have recently added these to my every day routine and thanks for explaining the squats so well
Just watching Jeff squat showed me all the things I'm doing wrong and why I'm not getting the leg gains I want. My God, what perfect form. In order for me to correct my form flaws, I'm going to have to do squats on the Smith machine which will keep me in that upright position. After several months of that then I should be able to start doing free squats with good form. That upright form will take the stress off my back and butt and transfer it over to my quads. It'll take a little time for my quads to catch up.

Congrats on 1 million Jeff!!!
Man the detail in the video this guy is most knowledgeable bodybuilder in UA-cam.
Hands down BEST fitness and nutrition you tuber in terms of detailed explanations and all round educational bases 👌🏾
This is surely the best tutorial for a squat I've ever seen. Lots of great UA-cam fitness gurus out there that I love, but I just want to call out this specific video from this specific UA-camr as being superlative. Thanks again, Jeff!
Ummm I’m confused the squat rack is for curls
the weight of the bar pressing into my back is just painful, also sometimes my triceps and shoulders cramp when i hold the bad to squat. hopefully tho when i go back to school i'll be able to clean it up.
The king is deadlift
Favorite Lift!
Farmers walk/deadlift is king imo
King of full body
Not for lower body. Squat is a King when it comes to lower body.

For almost 6 months every time I did the squat I would injure my lower back. This video and instructions have not only made it possible without injury, but my weight capacity just keeps increasing. Amazing!
On the bottom drive back up through bar head slightly forward
Heel big toe even pressure on ground weight centered on middle of foot
Eyes forward head up
Breath in
Hips and knees bend(out) at same time
But straight down
Bro Jeff at 8:29
Not all heroes wear capes
I love that bro Jeff is always shirtless because it's realistic
The backward cap is a nice touch too lol
Ah thankyou for this
Beats headphones lmao
Gonna hit a squat PR during tomorrows leg day
Bram Regterschot already did.. great video on pendlay rows
Even though Ive squatted for years, it still hurts the bones in my neck where the bar sits, even though I use perfect form. Any tips for this?
Could be tight hip flexors?
@@timothyarmstrong2969 that's most likely it I really dont spend as much time stretching like I should.
10:54 What just happened?
I think AthleanX and jeff nippard are the only fitness channels once can take serious.
even when i was young and played sports, i never learned how to do these. i always used machines . i have recently added these to my every day routine and thanks for explaining the squats so well
Just watching Jeff squat showed me all the things I'm doing wrong and why I'm not getting the leg gains I want.
