Thank you for this amazing video! I needed some direction with my short stories. Hopefully, this will help. :)
I also hope it helps! Happy writing 😊
One of the top three videos on the first act structure for anyone to view , extremely methodical, excellent job.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it 😊
Great video! Thanks.
No problem! Glad you liked it :)
Really great software, videos, tutorials. Can't say enough good things about what I'm seeing from Campfire. One feedback for the app (or perhaps customer support question which already has an answer) is where would the best place on the app to sketch themes, ideas, or general brainstorming? I typically do much of this in a MS word or notepad document, but would love to find a way to move the entirety of the storybuilding process onto the app itself. Again, great functionality for organization and identifying key elements and their change throughout. Thanks again and looking forward to more videos.
Thanks for all the kind words! We have a notes section that you can access by clicking the book icon in the bottom right. Some users also use the encyclopedia to catalog ideas 🙂
Loved this! When is the next one out?
New videos every other Monday!
I'm writing a book with multiple characters and I was going to start with the actual main characters family story then her and her lover.
Just be careful not to set up expectations with the family story that you don't want to fulfill in the actual plot
What would you suggest if the hero's mentor was dead after the first chapter? Where I have already started, I feel that my hero will have to do too much remembering. If I have to go back further than where I started, it will turn this project into 2 books.
Are you worried that the audience will forget what the hero learned from their mentor? As long as the audience sees the hero learn from the mentor, you shouldn't have to worry about recapping it later on.
@@AroundTheCampfire Yes. I don't feel it's enough. Something is telling me to change the starting point. I just bought campfire pro last night. I love this! This is going to help me with organizing so much. I'm going to play with it more and see where this goes. Thank you!
Isnt this the guy who made that one song I listened to a lot when I played minecraft with my friends some 6 months ago?
When planning is is too detrimental to build characters backstory and motivation around your plan of the plot? When first drafting of course
