I feel like you have different ways of thinking but a lot of shared values when it comes to style, it made this so interesting 😊 And really affirming too. Hearing you both talk about how low stakes style is is such a relief after growing up in a controlling religious group. Now that I’ve mostly left it doesn’t have many consequences for me anymore! It really is mainly about me because it’s my body, it’s so nice!!!!
Yes I totally see that. We have different techniques but I think we both truly value a connection in personal style. And that it should be serving the wearer, giving them something beautiful and joyful. That's a really powerful transition you underwent, and I think it's so cool to hear how your style has evolved and how you reclaimed it

I loved the part about talking about outside opinions and feedback on your style or energy.
I loved her system because her system was the only system that did not rely on how you are perceived. Her's focused on what you are trying to project or communicate.

I looove the tip for beginners about taking just ONE thing you like about yourself and using that to experiment with your style!
I love the way I decorate my house with textures, vintage finds and natural elements and colours, so I think I might lean into this and just experiment with ‘dressing like my home’!
That sounds like a great strategy to explore!

Anyone else here is into mbti and cognitive functions theory think that both of them are entp type? Or at least a high Ne users. Almsot sure gabrielle is an entp😅❤ and rita enxp.
I’m into MBTI, and I had a consult with Rita one time, and I asked her 😅! She’s an INFJ, I believe.
I’m actually INFJ 😂 I know I seem extroverted on UA-cam but in person I am often quiet and shy.

ohh wow, yes you are right being a content creator and doing it while you are alone will show a part that no one usually sees when you are around others. i failed with my guess as I dont know how infjs alone and at their most comfortable. But that makes sense now that you too have Ni and Ti as they the most analytical functions as it shows in your videos☕️✨️
okay so I actually did a bunch of research into it this spring and based on the "functions" I am a ENFJ however tbh the MBTI is not a system I am into using, I just had the compulsion to learn my type because many people ask about it

A very wise man once said “you can’t actually capture the totality of the person in one picture it’s impossible”- David Lynchburg meaning what makes you you is all th experiences and how you react in them with your corps it’s also how you see yourself and wants people to receive you I’ve found that we all have different types of beauties in us or just specifics and even not having anything (if that’s possible) is also something to show. But everyone has an attitude towards life and periods of time all this is our soul. And clothes can’t truly express it all, but who said it’s just about the clothes that’s what I feel we get wrong. I could show you people wear the same garments but none of them looked the same. It’s lifestyle tone body type expression of philosophy mixtures and intellect. Growth comes with time your evolution was so fast you live a lifetime. I have this idea tha

Someone shared on Gabrielle’s FB page they asked Chat GPT to describe their appearance. Although the results can sometimes be questionable, it occurred to me that it can help to see if you are projecting what you want to with an outfit. The poster said Chat GPT said they looked elegant. When I tried it, it said friendly and approachable. Well that is something I’m trying to project and is important to me. So, I thought it can be encouraging if you are going for a certain look.

This was a very interesting conversation to listen to. I really liked that you both referenced your systems and the tools you use, but you didn't let that restrict the conversation, which in turn makes this convo relevant for a lot of different people with varying approaches to developing their style.

Like I had fashion moments in my life. I remember been at king dominion and wanting this band tee and as I’m heading for it my mentor says “do you even listen to them? Name one song” idk it shook me he was right right all I loved about that tee was the font colors and the fact that it was black. there and then I knew not to be part of something that wasn’t authentic to me. Now I found a tee with the same font and everything to make that decision to get it Bc it says Africa is like a character design motif almost
I have this idea of people having layers. I’m happy for whatever my child hood was I still own it in me as if I took it with me and it boiled into this
😂 Yes absolutely, I got such a giggle from this. I had an absolute NOOOOO response even though I can see they work.. liking it more 2 years down the track and now developing my style from the inside out. I live in the tropics and bright colours are the general uniform here - so I initially felt I would be aesthetically split from my tribe. Truth is fashion, colour and experimenting is so much fun.
