I don't know any other actor that could have carried that off so flawlessly.
Rodney Dangerfield would have also been awesome :)
I think John Lithgow could do it too 👍
Bob Eisenstein
"I'm just an actor, but I get diarrhea all the time."
hahahahahahahaha
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The reverb on diarrhea 😂💀 2:02
The way is walks after saying that he relieved himself is genious
Greatest comedic actor of all time 😂 no one can pull of comedy so well and yet act like he’s not intentionally trying to be funny
He and Rodney
He was a master of not breaking character.
Huh
@@user-fj4po1lt1i making you laugh without laughing himself
That's because he was a character himself!
The man was a comedy legend. He will be missed
Leslie Nielsen...what a legend he was..
+Lana K
IS!!!
@@obiwankenobi661 He died in 2010, so past-tense is correct. His work is still legendary, if that’s what you mean.
He's a great dramatic actor
love you leslie, thanks for the memories
Great actor and comedian! Love his dead pan lol
Never realised but they used to put more emphasis on the band more before.
They were a bigger deal before the shit they started showing early 2000s.
“If you think I’m embarrassed…You just don’t know me.” What a great way to sum up and incredible actor. He was always willing to do something for a laugh.
You funny, funny man. We miss you.
I know what you’re thinking about, D I A R R H E A. Spot on Leslie! Legend.
He Was Great At Straight Lined comedy!!! RIP & Missed!!!!
Unbreakable till the end. All those serious roles led to him being the greatest deadpan comedian of all time.
Thanks for the upload! Had never seen this one. In fact, I had no idea he ever hosted SNL. Great comedian.
Me neither
Just the one time unfortunately. But it was a great episode!!
@@cammy85 One time is better than not hosting at all. I'll have to check it out on Peacock
This is one of the greatest SNL episodes of all time. The West coast version of this entire episode is even funnier...it's a shame that's not online.
What do you mean the west coast version?
@brentwebster6341 SNL would air two versions of the show back then. One was intended for the East Coast and the 2nd for the West Coast. lm a California boy so I remember the even funnier West Coast version of this episode.
I don't know if SNL still does this in the modern era.
This performance deserves a billion thumbs ups 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 hilarious!!! 😅😂🤣
Wow he was so seriously funny, ... I might have bought the product just for fun.
god bless this man, a legend gone too soon
He just so effing good! Miss him!
Makes all of us Canadians so proud.
I love listening to the audience slowly figuring it out
And Phil Hartman voiceover ftw!
and G.E. Smith shreddin' is an added bonus!!
OMG your right! How did i miss that!? Nice catch! I miss hartman too!
👍
@@maestrogringo the icing on the cake. Good times
Laughed at this over twenty years ago. Completely understand Leslie in 2021.
Whenever I’m in a negative headspace, I watch this and I’m laughing my ass off. Problem solved!
No one else could have done this better.
Absolute legend!
This is what a legendary, funny grandfather looks like :P :D
I miss this man
I searched "SNL Leslie Nielsen" JUST so I could watch this, for the first time in 35 years. 😂
After watching Nielsen in The Naked Gun, I laughed so hard my cheeks hurt! I then looked up every movie and project he's been in and, over the years, watched them all, even his dramatic work. I agree with everyone's thoughts and opinions of him. He was more than a great actor. He LOVED acting AND making people laugh. He enjoyed the challenge of a dramatic roles but even he admitted, he really started having fun when he transitioned to comedy. Neilsen was a lovable goofball...just watch any of his interviews as he farts his way through it. LOL! Even if farting isn't funny to you, the reaction of the crew is priceless. I always wanted to meet Mr. Nielsen. He was intellegent, always affable, relaxed, and warmly respectful towards others. Perhaps in the future, after I pass on, I will catch up with him and enjoy his antics, jokes, and laughter forever.
“… I laughed so hard my cheeks hurt!” - I know that this reply was for a message left 2 months ago on a 9 year old video, but given that Leslie Nielsen was endorsing Bung King cream here, I just had to ask. Which cheeks were hurting? 😂
@@ETamJP LOL :D
A friend of mine found himself talking to Leslie on a plane - he was very friendly and as funny of screen as on
"if you think I'm embarrassed... ------ ... Then you just don't know me."
We miss you sir! Life became less cheerful without you.
I always wanted him to play Phil Hartmans dad in something
Meet him at a walmart... 🤣
Damn, G.E. Smith rips! They don’t let the band play out on these videos nowadays -someone recognized on here.
They do but they don’t show the band anymore.
Yeah, the band is great. Still is. The song they're playing at the end of the sketch is an instrumental cover of Albert King's "Born Under a Bad Sign"
Oh yeah
Dripmaster got THREE, count 'em, THREE storage laughs! Genius.
How did he do it? HOW!!??
If Leslie's name is mentioned, I will be watching.
I'm sold. 😆
Poor Leslie...
The master
RIP
🙏🏽
Jocked about himself being old 20+ years before his departure, what a legend.
this crack me up ... because it happens to me
man this is a top ten skit of all time!!
The legend!! RIP 🕊
Haha, he was obviously highly amused by this, from the sparkle in his eye and corners of his mouth.
If you watch this sketch from the original episode, it’s different. The ending where it says meet Leslie at a Walmart near you, he says the part that he’s not embarrassed endorsing the Geritech line of products first.
wtf this is a comedy gold
The Best White Haired One!
The good ol days of snl
Ddiiiiiiaaaaaarrrrriiiiiiaaaaaahhhhh....
Still funny
So good....
This segment was filmed 7 days after Leslie Neilsen's 63rd birthday, which was on 11 February 1989.
Leslie Nielsen was the BEST!
The 80s had the most funny bass players ever.
😂😂😂😂
Joe Biden: “write that down! Write that down!”
Came for G.E. Smith. Not disappointed.
Oops I crapped my pants
And I’m ready....thanks to BlotchOffDripmasterBungkingandSolidex
@leonidasstephanou83 2:01
Glad they left in G.E. Smith’s incessant mugging.
He’s a trump supporter, sadly
😂🤣
This wouldnt have been enjoyable at all if anyone else was doing this bit
It's all in the delivery. He is missed
DripMaster! Brought to you by the makers of the original LadyPants!
I really hate that the word 'edited' shows up after to having to edit just because I caught an error after posting and corrected the mistake. Makes me feel stooopid...am I alone in this?
He shouldn't have been a host. He should have been a regular.
He was regular, thanks to Regulex, the quality Geritech product that takes the embarrassment out of being irregular.
Not to take away from SNL, but i think Nielsen was too big a star for SNL to be a regular.
@@chunkymunkey9182 True, but back then his deadpan delivery would have been a great contrast to the more hammy of the comedians.
@@Shanethefilmmaker That is true.
SNL CANNOTMATCH the writi g of The Zucker Brothers and Jim Abrahamson.
A legend! The SNL material is mediocre, but he makes the very best of it.
who is the lead guitar?
This is going on way too long
