Since I noticed the similarity between Leslie and Terry's speech patterns and sound I cannot stop noticing it. Now I find a video with them talking to each other. Great, that's never going away now!
Sadly missed, RIP Leslie you were one of a kind. He looks and sounds a lovely guy….it must be very hard work answering the same questions about the same things on one chat show after another.
He had more or less a career renaissance when "Airplane!" came out. Probably made him wonder why he didn't do comedy sooner. With Leslie being an actor, his brother, Erik, kind of went in a different direction in terms of a career. He was a member of Canadian parliament for almost 30 years, representing the Yukon during that time. He was even deputy prime minister for a couple of years, serving under Brian Mulroney in the mid-80s.
The thing about Leslie Nielsen is that he is a GREAT actor. People "discovered" him in comedy but when you take a peak to his "serious" drama work he is frightning!!! So... he is just good.
It's a shame that the tracking got all jacked up, this was gold. I think we need Leslie Nielsen now more than ever. Somehow we have forgotten how to laugh, especially at ourselves.
@@obsoletearchive4201 it adds to the charm. brings me back to a time of rewinding tape, fiddling with the antenna, and turning on a premium channel you don't have and hoping for the static to line up for just a second
When I saw the first episode of Police Squad it was insatiable laughter from start to finish. Though English I thought my sense of humour was more of the North American type. `Shame the show didn`t last longer.
Leslie brings always fresh air to a show
The fresh is literally at the end though
What, from his fart machine?
@@CEngelbrecht ,,,ahh yeah !

Leslie was just so charming.
Eloquent and poised yet outlandishly funny and childlike.
He played with that line quite well.
He was an amazing character
Charming is exactly the right word. Very hard not to like him.
I was expecting the fart machine. But what a decent and elegant man, who was humble and nice. More Holywood stars could lern from his memory.
Police Squad was a RIOT!Leslie was so charming, funny and so sorely missed

A lovely gentleman may rest in peace
As I understand it - he was very much a gentleman - that's about as good a title as a man can hope for
Remind me of that tragedy...
Forbidden Planet. Brilliant Sci Fi movie.
Agree 😊
Here in July 2024 ,, I love that man , made me actually cry laughing ,so missed , love u sir Leslie
Leslie still makes me laugh, legend
With Fenella Fielding and Joss Ackland.

Tracking not the issue, Tape was physically damaged, I tried multiple machines and this was the best result I'm afraid

Did the missing part he was a cop as a younger man ?!?
I laugh at myself when I ask myself why did I come into this room
He will looking forward to part second of "the Naked Gun"... So many years.
Leslie comes over as a lovely man
I feel like these two would've been great friends.
I could see that.
What a classy gentleman
That episode was dated 8th December 1989. Van Morrison also performed on it .

Wow thank you for uploading this. :)
I'm a locksmith and I'm a locksmith....
That sudden moment when you see that Terry could have been the Irish Frank Drebin.
both no longer with us what a loss
Now THIS was a comedic legend. There aren't many left anymore. To much PC and wokery. But thank you for the laughs!
Looking back , Terry asks some daft questions
A complete 90° turn?

Thank god Graham Norton came along one day.....I remember this guy from the 80's.......my parents would watch, I'd leave the room.
Haha, It's an age issue... I was the same but now I've changed my view.
was thinking the same thing....Norton has really increased the pace and humour of Interviews...
He was awesome 👌
