Yeah, me too and tucking in your chin with it is supposed to protect your lower back, think that’s the main reason she mentioned it, not for targeting.
3:15 Agree with you. I am able to do more reps to start with. But like you say, if I’m doing the same exercise for 3 sets, my rep count starts to go down. Therefore, I’m using the correct weight for me.
Nice video Harry! You spoke about deloading. I typically "deload" every 6 weeks when I switch up my routine. I progress throughout the weeks adding more weight, reps, tension and range of motion. Not sure if I'm doing a true deload.... Anyways love your tips and advice. Have a great day!
You have pronounced the name almost right and is fantastic! I'm italian and i have the same name. I heard a lot of people butcher my name, but not you!
Please can you provide advice on how to exercise after a week off of no weight training? After one week holidays, I’ve found myself feeling more tired and not able to lift as heavy. So i take it easy but my friends have said no, I need to train the way i did before so my body gets used to it. Any tips? Thanks 🙏🏾
By any chance are you new, or have stopped consistently training for a long time? 1 week rest is enough for each body part. You're body gets used to it over time. From my experience: When I first started, if I took a break for a week, getting back into training was hard. But after a while of training every week, it no longer effects me to take a break. Just recently, I was injured for 6 weeks and I did my first leg day. It was only a little bit harder than I'm used to. Are you not moving enough during the week too?
I don't know if you're a woman or a man but i always take one week off every month because of my debilitating periods and then when i feel good and ready again i just get back into weight training normally. One week without lifting weight isn't that long. If you feel like you need to take it a bit easier to find your rhythm again then do that. Just listen to your body.
@dudejoe8390 I’ve been training at the gym consistently for about 9 months so I guess I’m still new. I would say I moved a lot during holiday (like 5K steps a day). I very rarely achieve 10K according to my phone (which tbh may be recording steps inaccurately -2K from what I’ve seen). Would you say after some years of consistent training, after a week off gym every now and then, I should be be fine?
I want to quit weight lifting for baily browns align pilates app… bc im just over heavy lifting and want a low impact chill workout is this a good idea? Does pilates at home really work? Or should just make myself go to the gym and say screw pilates?!
Just do whatever makes you feel good and happy! Any movement is good movement. I love pilates its a good low impact workout that makes me feel good and strong at the end of the day. If pilates makes you feel good with yourself and consistent then go for it 🥰
@@divestdreamer thx sm!! Most of my friends and family aren’t supportive of it bc they say I look better with a more muscular thick gym bod but whatever..that kinda hurts haha
@@autumnh5027 well I wanted to stay with the gym but it got boring and draining after awhile… although all my friends say I look better with a more thick muscular body.. so many I won’t do Pilates then
@@karenac670 Yeah I get what you mean. For me I've only ever done my hypertrophy workouts at home and I've seen amazing results as long as I continue to go close/to failure (of course I had to buy multiple sets of heavy dumbbells + a dumbbell friendly barbell so it costs a bit) but if you're just tired of driving to the gym or need a new environment, that's always an option... but don't get me wrong, pilates has some great benefits, just not really muscle related. And you could always maybe half your gym sessions and incorporate pilates slowly and then pick one of them after trying both for a bit.
@@catherinebyrom6307 the point is if you do them easily, there is no challenge and need more..weight, or might have wrong position. This is the way I have progressed with the trainor. Told him when the 12 reps were too easy
Nobody is spared of criticism. I follow Chiara, find her videos helpful , comparing to others, but , I am not expert and do not know if everything she says is true.. Looks a bit like Brett Contreras ...her talk..
Absolutely not a fan of how you film your videos and deliver your information. Lighting sucks, you only film from the neck up, your speech is never ending and monotone I skip trying to find something interesting. You're better off showing the vid in a small frame at the bottom and pausing to comment than just showing your face dragging a boring speech.

Arching my back during hyperextensions absolutely worked for me

This just highlighted to me how I dont actually train to failure....deep down I knew it but have been trying to avoid it lol good video!

Same also goes with periods tbh!

Oooh i have been waiting for this one
Lovvvvve chiara!
One particular video of hers changed my life 😭 just a workout routine. Don’t know the woman, but it worked for me. Just saying.
Which video of hers was it ?
Do home and banded glute workouts actually work? I think of them like calisthenics...
Thanks for sharing. I always learn something!
I don’t know the creator, but I loved the video, very informative as always!
I get lower back pain when i do the last exercise. What am i doing wrong or is my lower back just weak? 🎉
Thank you! Another great video!
Video Notes:
Bare educational as always. The spiciest of sauce (even though I hate spice).
Ooooh I love spice!
Big big boi

If by does Pilates “work” you mean for building muscle and hypertrophy, no. But if you’ve changed your goals to something else, knock yourself out

10-12 reps isn't heavy enough. Lady, get the heck out. I can do a set to 12 and get absolutely pump, DOMS, and hypertrophy stimulation. Nonsense.
Yeah that was so jarring! Not even sure what point she was making

YUUGE
MASSIVE
Comment and tolerance for your video 💪 ✌️
Great video 🌻
I've been told by a PT not to train to failure on the big compound movements every time because it can tax the CNS and prevent gains. Truth? BS?
I think there's research that says u still get the gain 2 to 3 reps before failure

Can you do one on olivia maricarelli as i dont believe her body is real...
I can't imagine making a vídeo of someones work. So disrespectful a "man" talking like that to a woman

Girl what? Men can’t criticize women? 😂 gtfo. I’m a woman and that don’t make me special or above criticism. Such a childish mentality.
Talking like what??? There's nothing insulting in receiving constructing criticism lol
Comment question of the week ❤❤❤how much volume/intensity is needed to maintain muscle once one’s hypertrophy goals are met?
He talks fast, that’s for sure. But practice makes perfect. We are learning on this earth.
She’s definitely been watching videos from Bret Contreras but I have no issue with that. Everyone needs to learn!
