I own this pedal. The thing I don't like is a constant continuous background noise when it's turned on. Particularly when I use it with a tube saturation amp. Something that doesn't happen to me with other boost pedals that are much less famous and cheaper than this one. Honestly, I'm amazed by this thing. Sorry for my english
I honestly don't see a problem paying 260 for a pedal that does so much more than act as a boost. Can give you a stage 1 to a stage 3 back to a trans OD tone in the same pedal flawlessly.
Just bought the pedal and has real potential in my book. Setting my volume pedal after the prism and going to front of amp and letting the send and return take care of the rest.
I believe so, and some. The Prism goes well with any pedal, any amp, and any guitar. I cant say the same for the Bloom. Its a pre-amp pedal, which is totally different than the compressor pedal. The Prism is a turn on and always leave on kind of pedal and its not been turned off since it made its way onto my board.
I have to say, when I first saw the price, I bashed this pedal left and right.. however, I ended up purchasing one and wow. You have to play it to understand. They definitely put time into this. Not just another revenue item for them

The pedal looks invisible on the wide shots haha
Using this at
Low gain
transparent
12oclock treb and bass
(Adjust boost to how you want)
With a diamond compressor jr is MARVELOUS
They blend so well
I want it just because the LED changes color.
You're charged like $100 for just that :D
seems valid :P
Just picked one up to go along with my new Bloom pedal. Can't wait to get it and see how well these two pedals can play together.
Is it as awesome as the Bloom?

Killer chops Nigel
no opinion on the pedal. I just want that Suhr ALT T.
That transparent low gain boost setting is the shit.
Did this guy make the actual pedals? The Bloom is by far my Favorite pedal. It’s brilliant
The color setting was the only usable tone out of this whole demo
That medium gain option sounds so delicious!!!
Amazing! A pedal that makes a top of the line Suhr instrument sound like a bunch of bees with explosive diarrhea!
I don't understand why he waited till the color setting to switch to the bridge pickup..
Where is the waiting list for the dual stacked prism? Don’t tell me you haven’t even considered that yet!!!!
What is Nigel using for a neck pickup in his T anyone know? Lollar? Sounds amazing!
Bruce LaVerdiere Suhr Thornbuckers.
Can they not hear how harsh and transistor like this sounds?
I don’t think it sounds harsh
@@nsc217 Maybe you prefer transistors to real tubes?
@@rockzilla5150 Could be
as a fan of nigel since 2002 this video makes me feel sad. Atleast he could have said something about the pedal.just my 2 cents
Should I get this over the new RC booster V2?
probably not, no
Yes, this thing is incredibly versatile.
Nope. I build overdrives there are many better options
@@jcows12 Which other option so versatile like this one?
Thought this thing was dope, don't understand all the hate
Don't particularly see anything unique tonally about this one. Especially to warrant the price.
$259. ill pass
***** i guess i have to try it to see.

Just doesn’t sound that good...love Jackson stuff normally. Sounds a little too floppy to have a lot of applications.
Dave Roberts I think that’s just Reverb demos
reverb videos always sound the worst
Agree
Sounds like garbage. Praise the lord!
