Before I order a new cylinder head, is the one you worked on number one? Thanks

Cylinder 1 is the higher one, closest to the top of the motor, if you’re looking from the front of the engine. I have each part number in the video description.

Curious why did you buy a new head? My mower has a bent valve as well :(

If I remember right, the head had minor damage. I think the valve guide was compromised.

@@KevinNadeau if my valves look good and not protruding up and I have a bent aluminum valve does that mean I should replace the head to or valves?

@@gunnerranch Hard to say without seeing it. Try and figure out what caused the bent valve. That may give you the answer whether or not to replace the complete head.

@@KevinNadeau I think the gas flooded the cylinder and bent it because the piston had no where to go. The float was stuck in carb. What do you think?

About how much were the parts for this repair?

A new cylinder head was about $170 and a set of push rods was about $20.
