Thanks 👍
Yup, he’s got knack!!
Great video, I hope that the camshaft on the one mower That's locked up isn't to damaged from the cam decompression lever coming out, but I'll find out. LOL! It's my nephews mower, so he'll get to see what ticks inside one of these engines. Thank You for sharing 👍
Nice and easy to follow!💪🏾
Glad you liked it!
Excellent work.
Thanks putting this out here.
You mention not to use an aftermarket cam.
Can you suggest where to source a legit cam.
Buy one from Briggs. John Deere dealership is usually more expensive.
Try amazon but make sure it OEM from Briggs
Thanks for the video!!
Thanks for the videos.. Having the same issue, When you take the rocker cover off to diagnose do you have to drain oil ?
You don’t need to drain the oil.
Good job. Don’t forget to add oil!
👍
I just subscribeded to u maté Weekend Hobby 😮Mechanic. What causees the composite release to fail like at It seems to be a common manifest with the Briggs & S engine???
Poor maintenance. Oil change every year and check your valves.
How do you find what camshaft you need. My numbers don’t line up with anything
17.5, 19, 19.5, 20 and 21hp single cylinder all use the same camshaft.
is the bolt on the starter normally loose when the starter is disconnected?
Bolts are never loose.
thank you so much
You're welcome!
Trying to figure out what camshaft I need... I was going to order it on amazon
Don’t buy aftermarket. They don’t last. If u buy one from Amazon make sure it’s made by Briggs & Stratton.
Seems the briggs camshafts are back ordered for a year and all i can see on amazon is the Chinese kits With 30,000 thick gaskets when it should be 15,000 thick crankcase gaskets with them When the cranks end play is sposed to be 002 to 025 Go figure
It’s never the valves is it 😒
Never. 99% It's the camshaft
