It's still so strange to me that this funny little guy wound up on the ban list. If you were to wake up from a year long coma just now and check up on how the meta has shaken out since you were last conscious, I feel as though Linkuriboh going to zero would be the change that requires the most explaining. Yes, people will tell you that it always had the potential to be overpowered now in hindsight, but let's be honest here, no one, not a single soul since the card debuted has even considered the idea that Linkuriboh should have any banlist action taken against it until the age of Fire slop arrived.
ehhhh, we kinda knew it was broken on release. frankly I'm surprised it took this long. its a link 1, which are just generically good, with both a protection effect and a revive effect
It literally was banned for no fucking reason either. It hurt burning dumpster fire decks none, but suddenly made it to where dozens of other decks no longer have a viable link-1 to make of they are shut out of playing. At BEST it would stop 1 attack, hopefully making it to where you could live the turn, but to say it was EVER broken simply because it could tribute level 1s from grave as a means to dodge impern/vieler is absolutely buttfucking retarded. Linkuriboh isn't the broken card, it's the cards that can recurse and activate 100 different effects while eating or dodging handtraps with or without Linkuriboh. That's why 2024 has been the WORST YEAR IN YUGIOH since the start of covid.
Oh yeah, I used it my Dragon Link, and Chaos Decks. FYI, I still do cause Traditional Format exists despite Konami's refusal to acknowledge that they created such a format.
