This is their best tune and video. Just some good old boys playing some rock and roll. No glam or fancy outfits, just honest music from the heart. Love it and always will!

Music is a reflection of the times and situations. Well gen x...we truly and will 4ever be remembered as the best decade of music and life. WE ROCK ALWAYS!
Oh my! It was 1984 when I saw this for the first time on MTV. It’s how we viewed new music groups.I remember thinking how gorgeous this man was and what a voice he had. I was twenty one years old. I wish I could go back to that time. Music was just something so different back then. Artists actually had talent.
I'm 49 now, when i watch these old videos it takes me back to those days. I was fortunate to grow up in a semi wealthy family that always took photos and video. My wife has seen them all and is amazed that i had the " Big Hair" like the 80's Rockers. My buddies and i back then rocked out, we were not the best by far, but we rocked the local area with what we had, good times. I still get the rush with these videos. 80's forever in my heart...............

I was into Bon Jovi in the 80's and early 90's. I saw them open a few shows for other bands and then I saw them as the headliners twice. When he was out there for Biden... I almost threw up...... Come on Jon...
I'm 59 and this is the first time seeing this video. 😂🤣 Don't know how I missed it back in the day! I do remember the song though. Good vintage Bon Jovi.
Really??? Have you heard him sing lately. Absolutely awful. It’s so bad that most people are begging him not to go out on the road again because his voice is shot.
yes exzactly.bon jovi is far more attractive than most women models as they need surgery..Bon jovi knows that beauty is skin deep.He has so much more to give to us all..All round talented guy.beautiful on the inside and out.
I love this song and the video is burned on my brain from the early 80's. They cut the scene at the end where the the girl in the floral dress points the gun. I totally don't get that. Such a great memory either way. 80's kids had it the best.
Yeah he could off but there's much more to jon tgan his looks truly one of the best songwriters out there and shout out to him for all yhe great charity work feeding and providing housing to those less fortunate than himself thankfully he didn't just rest on his looks
@gillianmcbean6799 well... he always said he wanted to be taken seriously as a musician and not a pretty boy...but then did the pretty boy thing every chance he could...
Song brings back so many memories after graduation 1981 and I went to Kansas just to get away from my hometown and I heard a song a few years later and it came out at a perfect time and I will never forget this song or the person I was with at that time
I'll add a little to that-I think the best music was from Van Halen's first one in 1978 to about 1991 with Guns n Roses Use Your Illusion. And that's not to say there wasn't a lot of great pop music in there too.
Kids like us being young and to hit that era the wonderful 80,s at that time in life is the best when we were in high school.im 55and only prussume that your my age or close to Madelyn.so rock on sister.peace.

@@471mauricioin terms of correct grammar, you are absolutely correct. However, in terms of song title catchiness and actual beauty of the song with the way it's phrased and sung, "she don't know me" is much more lyrically pleasing to hear when sung than "she doesn't know me." Hence, the the slang usage of it.

@@kawasakiwhiptwo5821 wrong it is Beth Toussaint as the original post says
This is their best tune and video. Just some good old boys playing some rock and roll. No glam or fancy outfits, just honest music from the heart. Love it and always will!
Such a underrated song, im shocked this wasn't a massive hit

ボン・ジョヴィっていい曲ばっかりだよね
Song was shot in Benicia , California and all of us from the bay area were there while they shotting such fond memories.
Oh my how I do miss these days? Thank you Jon for sharing your gift and your passion with us. We all love you. Never ever forget that!
I never lived in the 80s, but if the most "pop" artists were the likes of Bon Jovi, Van Halen, Def Leppard, Whitesnake & MJ, then it sounds like a magical decade for pop music.
Kevin Cheng it was great to be alive then. music was great
This is not pop this is glam metal.
Trads Um, no it’s not! It Rock... plain and simple.
Ok.:)
But I think that is more pop than rock. It's pop-rock.
Damn those jeans Jon and Richie are wearing... I'm 53byears old snd I still rock out to Bon Jovi!!! I took my daughter Ashley to see Bon Jovi in 2007 and we had a blast. We were so close we can see the soles on their shoes.
What more can I do, there's nothing I haven't tried
Still it's so hard for her to notice
I've tried hard to be straight
There's nothing left I can say
If only she would look my way
[Chorus:]
She don't know me, she don't know
She don't see me, she don't care
She can't hear me, can't hear
Can not help me, she don't want
She don't want me like I want her
Like I wan't her got to tell her
Got to tell her that I love her
That I love her
She doesn't even know my name
I dream of when she'll be mine
I dream of crossing that line
And holding her so tender
Dreaming it could come true
So many things I would do
If only you'd give me a chance
[Repeat chorus]
Thank-you very much for your Lyric information.
Dedicated this song for Faiza Novas 2211🙏
Thank you so much for sharing..👌👍👍
Bob Jovi had many big hits but I really believe that this is the one that opened doors for him
Agree, this one showed what this band could do.
He's 61 and still looks so handsome.
I agree, I think he is still handsome for his age. People keep saying he’s looking old, but what makes him still so handsome is that he is growing old gracefully, no surgery when he could of done that.
You are not going to like what is going to coome out about all famous people.
Glad those pants didn't hinder Jon from having kids later on :))
No one wore them better though! ;)
Kkkkkkk
Come on.. it looked like he was smuggling a tube of chapstick lol
But they helped with the high notes

Back when music was music
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!! Yeahh fantastik,song,sound,back,sing,show,band,play,vide-clip!!
This song/video was what made me a Bon Jovi fan and I have bee one for 36 years now. This is my all time favorite Bon Jovi song. Forever and always a fan.
Like wise bought my first record at 13 still a fam now at 53 and can count myself lucky I have seen them live where they really do shine never disappoint with ever penny waiting for them to come Scotland so I can see them once again
My first Bon Jovi song and video. I fell for Jon and his music ❤
I miss and love Bon Jovi in the 80’s and I wish they played this song more.🩷Love🩷
Jon bon Jovi is class ,not only gave his name to the band.but is a great singer...
It was definitely filmed in Benicia, CA. The restaurant was called Tia Theresa and the bar was the Brewery. Right off of First St. I grew up in Benicia, and still live here.
the sensitivity in this power ballad is intense! early brilliance from this band
No! I don't know You. You remain a enigma. My favorite mystery. ❤
This is the first video I saw on MTV of Bon Jovi. I fell in love and still do. I'm 67😊❤
What a voice 03:37!!! Great Bon Jovi era 80's
I simply LOVE Bon Jovi ❤️ The start of the ORIGINAL skinny jeans fashion!! 😉Ahhh, 80's & 90's music just takes me back to simpler times, SO different from today!!!! Jovi Girl 4 LIFE 🤘💯
The Canadian tuxedo with a small wife beater cowboy boots and that pretty smile you're awesome Jon bon Jovi
This is my favorite Bon Jovi song,
love it❤❤❤
I miss the 1980's with all of my heart 😢 It was the most beautiful and happiest time of my life.
Time machine please take me back, one way ticket please❤
I have same opinion with you.
I feel just like you do 😢
Yes!
@@kimberlymayes4061 That's greatest.

RIP Alec John Such!!
80's forever in my heart...............
jay mcquaid Omg same here! 8mm when we were baby’s to vhs as we got older. Ppl are always shocked to see how my entire life has been documented lol. Btw, I’m 49 also :)
I was into Bon Jovi in the 80's and early 90's. I saw them open a few shows for other bands and then I saw them as the headliners twice. When he was out there for Biden... I almost threw up...... Come on Jon...
I read his biography. Man did he put in his time to get noticed... Glad he kept trying, or we would have never heard these amazing songs...
Who wouldve known these guys would go on and be one of the biggest bands in the 80s after this song and album.
They knew.
I'm 59 and this is the first time seeing this video. 😂🤣 Don't know how I missed it back in the day! I do remember the song though. Good vintage Bon Jovi.
Bon Jovi just gets better and better. Oh how Ioved growing up in the 80s.🤩🤘🏽
Really??? Have you heard him sing lately. Absolutely awful. It’s so bad that most people are begging him not to go out on the road again because his voice is shot.
Love this song, remember seeing the video and saying...This is what i want to be...Not exactly, but still a great memory...JBJ Rocks!!!!
Freue mich wenn Jon nochmal nach Deutschland kommt. Nocheinmal Jung sein wäre mega schön
David's face didn't change at all!😍
This is my all time FAVORITE Bon Jovi song...!!!
Exactly, I feel that this one is underrated.
+Nedyah74 Mine, too.
yes exzactly.bon jovi is far more attractive than most women models as they need surgery..Bon jovi knows that beauty is skin deep.He has so much more to give to us all..All round talented guy.beautiful on the inside and out.
This one and Runaway are the top of his👍
Remembered my old boyfriend-Lance
I love this song and the video is burned on my brain from the early 80's. They cut the scene at the end where the the girl in the floral dress points the gun. I totally don't get that. Such a great memory either way. 80's kids had it the best.
Jon was like a male model that actually had talent, he could have made it on his looks alone.
Yep
Yeah he could off but there's much more to jon tgan his looks truly one of the best songwriters out there and shout out to him for all yhe great charity work feeding and providing housing to those less fortunate than himself thankfully he didn't just rest on his looks
@@gillianmcbean6799 He's a good soul for sure.
@gillianmcbean6799 well... he always said he wanted to be taken seriously as a musician and not a pretty boy...but then did the pretty boy thing every chance he could...
@@jasonl1942 I guess if you looked like he did in his prime it would be hard to avoid.
I miss that time so much! That feeling, it doesn't exist in this time...
Blame it on John shanks
Sn nostalgic age.
Song brings back so many memories after graduation 1981 and I went to Kansas just to get away from my hometown and I heard a song a few years later and it came out at a perfect time and I will never forget this song or the person I was with at that time
j'adore ce groupe depuis des années
Best decade of music in my humble opinion is 1979 to 1989
I'll add a little to that-I think the best music was from Van Halen's first one in 1978 to about 1991 with Guns n Roses Use Your Illusion. And that's not to say there wasn't a lot of great pop music in there too.
Kids like us being young and to hit that era the wonderful 80,s at that time in life is the best when we were in high school.im 55and only prussume that your my age or close to Madelyn.so rock on sister.peace.
Miss the 80's so much. 😢 I wanna go back. Best music and decade ever. ♥️
agreed!
Being a native Jerseyan as I am, these guys REALLY made me proud to be from there, no question about it! I knew these guys when they were smalltime, not much...now EVERYBODY knows 'em and they came from a small town in south Jersey called Sayreville, New Jersey! :-)
BON JOVI ROCKS!! :-)
Here in Brazil we're taught that the correct grammar form to say the simple present is "She doesn't know me". When we see a native speaker saying "She Don't Know Me" we get confused. Could someone please reply me what is the correct form ?Thank you
You show the "correct" form, but the form used in the title is idiomatic, or colloquial usage ;)

I am originally from North Brunswick. Got married, started a family and bought a house in Sayreville. I'm not positive where he lived but it's funny when I'd say to someone that I lived in Sayreville. They'd say "Ohhhhh BonJovi! Did you know him?!" Lol not knowing that Sayreville is pretty big. Lol
The introduction of the song they play without feeling is enough. Bon Jovi is different.
Jon's face at the end is hilarious. He's thinking "Are you kidding me? She's been following me this whole time?" 🙂😍❤😂
Con esta canción me convertí en el mayor fan de bon jovi... 2019 y todavía disfrutando esta joya ... saludos desde Mexico 🇲🇽

Unfortunately, this song reminds me of the most intense crushes that I have ever had that never came to fruition. I still love the song though.
Still one of my favorite Bon Jovi songs.
Being the boy just wanting to ask HER, for a dance
This nocturne is so mellow and fabulous.
I want to be back in the 80s

Hell yea
@@471mauricioin terms of correct grammar, you are absolutely correct. However, in terms of song title catchiness and actual beauty of the song with the way it's phrased and sung, "she don't know me" is much more lyrically pleasing to hear when sung than "she doesn't know me." Hence, the the slang usage of it.
ME TOO.

Happy Anniversary to Bon Jovi,40 years of career this year, glad to see him live in the 90's

they filmed the video in my little town of Benicia California I was 14 and the hill he was walking down was one block from my house

No they used a wind machine for that
I’ve stuck with the band through all the years I’m alive. Been a fan from the minute I was born but gotta say all that stuff that came before slippery still hit me good even after all this time. Love it.
I saw Bon Jovi @ Nashville North, Taylorville Illinois before Slippery When Wet came out. Venue meant for country groups. Front row. He sweat on me!!!! Showing my age, product of the 80's and proud of it!!!!!
I absolutely love the kick-ass solo in the middle of the song: it's one of the finest solos I've ever heard !
Great song. Great video. Great times! The 80's. I remember them well. I miss them so much. This song brings me back everytime :)
