Its so sad to see Jackie chan gettin old. But he still delivered it. So good movie of him. I feel like crying to see Jackie chan gettin old. I love him so much. And thanks for all the good action and entertaiment you gave us Mr. Jackie chan. I will forever love you. And i wish you will live longer to give me more motivation in my life . You are the best. Love : Gerard.
This movie is WAY underrated. Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan give performances of a lifetime. Taut, suspenseful and realistic script and acting. I cant stop watching this movie.
Obviously you are not informed. This is not the return of Jackie Chan, because he never stopped making movies. He has made a lot of films in recent years. There are a lot of them on specialist Asian translation sites
This is honestly my favorite movie. Jackie Chan masterfully portrayed his role. The emotions, the apathy, the guilt and the vengeance. At 25, I cried and was on the edge of my seat during this movie. Even the times I rewatched it years after it's release. I never had a movie affect me in such a way while watching it again. It really grabs ahold of the viewers and makes you feel his pain. That's what a legendary actor can do. And he does it while still holding true to his passion for martial arts. Compliments to the chef 👌
I had some friends start getting into JC (made them watch some stuff, they were loving it) and I pointed out he's a great actor. They laughed and said it's all action and comedy, not the same (an unfair comment regardless),so I made em watch Police Story and Crime Story, so they could watch without being distracted by his English (and even when he was struggling with English he did a solid job). After those they were converts.
I would also recommend Crime Story, based on real events. It's an amazing police thriller/drama imo, not much martial arts as it's a more grounded film but Jackie's acting is great, DW there are still Jackie style fights but it's more realistic.
The new Jackie looks badass. The underestimated, old Chinese man who's ex special forces, kicking ass and blowing s**t up! It's a refreshing change from his usual comedies.
This movie is fantastic and criminally underrated. Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan give performances of a lifetime. Pierce Brosnan became that role. When he shot Hughie in the knee and proclaimed "that's me being NICE!" I almost fell out of my chair.
Just finished watching this, such a great movie. It is so heartbreaking seeing Jackie Chan be so depressed and sad but at the same time its amazing seeing him give such a great performance.
Go watch Cop Story and Police Story. They're action films as well, but both have drama (in fact, CS is all drama, a police corruption movie, very serious). So many westerners didn't think Jackie was a great actor because they won't do subtitles and watch those films (or his other work from Hong Kong) and they are missing great movies as a result.
That scene where Jackie holding the dead daughter and crying, as a father of my beautiful daughter, I cried there. The law and government is useless to the injustice by the system. This is what happens when a man has lost so much in life, that when he becomes the ONLY person left in his family. With all his family gone, the only driving force are rage and revenge. You take the family away from a man like that, he becomes a relentless enemy. If I had lost my family by the injustice, I would be as relentless like that too.
At the end when lam kissed him i was so relieved and glad that he still allows himself to be loved and having someone who cares for him, despite him losing his family
Just watched this movie like 3 times this week. I gotta say this has gotta be one of Jackie’s best movies. Just from his emotionless face throughout the movie, to the fight scenes. Jackie Chan must be protected at all costs!!
He said in an interview that he now relies more on stuntmen for the really dangerous stunts, but he still tries to do what stunts he can do without seriously hurting himself. It's not taking anything away from how amazing he is though. That he at least tries to perform some of his own stunts is still saying more than what most can do at his age.
Just watched this. Was slightly hesitant as I'm picky with movies but I thoroughly enjoyed it! Definitely a mature, and somewhat dark film. You have to pay attention to it. Violence is actually fairly realist, Jackie does way better than I suspected he'd do, and by the end you're satisfied. Definitely worth watching! I love Jackie Chan and this makes me sad to see that he has aged, as he as brought so much entertainment to us over the years. Great movie!
I just watch the Foreigner today and this was Jackie's best performance of all his films!!! This film had my daughter and l on the edge of our seats. My daughter cried during his grieving scenes which pinched at me aswell!!! Well done Jackie Chan you and this film definitely deserved an oscar !!!!
I am in awwww. Cause not only Jackie was kick ass in this movie, but the way he acted was outstanding. An Oscar would be too much.... eee fck it, he deserves one for the way he portrayed MR. Quan. Who's with me?
jackie chan played alot of drama movies in china. he actually can really act. not just an action actor. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Police_Story watch that movie. its like 60% drama 40% action. about a cop (jackie) who watch his whole squad die in front him and how he get his life back together. really great acting by him.

They employ terrorism as a tactic (regardless of motive), that is an objective fact; furthermore, I wouldn't agree that the past deliberate targeting of civilians (see public transport attacks) and children in particular (see cadet attacks) constitutes as 'freedom fighting'.
This is the type of movie that despite the plot already in the trailers, you will be so excited to see it again and again. This is awesome. JC, you're finally getting serious.
I got goosebumps to see this trailer and especially Jackie... Love him.. it's going to be a blockbuster and omg he acted so well... Can see the pain n vain in his eyes when he lost his daughter ... Jackie is awesome.. can't wait to watch the movie
Just finished watching the movie and it was bad ass good! It was nice to see a side of Jackie chan where he’s serious most of the time with out any comedy. Jackie Chan’s movie never seems to fail me, even though you can tell he’s aging, he still got it!👊🏽
Actually Jackie has done some real serious drama movies in China, and some are pretty old. Its more of a Hollywood problem, than a Jackie one, that they had never casted him in a serious role.
This version of Jackie Chan is really scary. He is always good with dramas and serious action. I kindof saw Jackie in Simu Liu's bus fight in Shang Chi. Kids love it too.
The Asian John Wick - Chan Wick. "Chan Wick is a man of focus, I once saw him kill 2 men in a Noodle House with a chopstick....with a fucking chopstick"
Everyone coming into this trailer: "Well haven't seen Jackie Chan in anything lately, so might as well see what comedy action movie he's doing now." *Everyone coming out of this trailer* "Holy Shit..."
FUCK YEAH!!! This looks good! I'm so glad Jackie is doing darker action movies (with some serious acting), rather then some Hollywood half - assed - cola-light looking comedy (with any Z list actor). This man is 63 years old and has broken more bones in his body then he can count, and he could still probably kick all of our asses! Go Jackie!!
Jackie is famous and best at these light comedy action movies, I don't understand why people is so down with this, we have enough dark action movies like this.
Yes Bytional, but I meant the really bad ones he made when he went over to Hollywood (The Spy Next Door, Forbidden Kingdom and Skiptrace etc...);) I love his movies from the 80s and 90s though!
*nods* though i didn't mind forbidden kingdom, esp. for jackie as a drunken master, brought up vibes of.. well Drunken Master, super early Jackie Chan movie, dope af.
No-one will ever come close to Jackie Chan, probably one of the greatest actors that has ever walked this earth. I'm going to see this tonight! #jackiechanforever
People saying "oh new angle for Jackie" or "first serious/acting role for Jackie" need to check out his Eastern films from the last few years like Police Story:Lockdown or Shinjuku Incident and his older films like Island of Fire, Heart of a Dragon, The Protector and Crime Story. He's done "serious" a few times.
Yup. Loved watching his movies when I was a kid. I'll definitely try re-watching some of them again. There's NEVER a dull moment when Chan is involved. Already watched "Rumble in the Bronx", and "Operation Condor 2" is next on my list. He's good in comedy & serious films. I wholeheartedly agree.
Jackie Chan has a certain set of skills, skills that have made him a nightmare for may people, skill he has acquired over a very long career, now if you give him the names that will be the end of it. He will not look for you, he will not pursue you, but if you dont he will look for them and....... he will kill them
Actually he made a lot of serious movie in Hong Kong, but in the US, he stick with Action comedy, mostly due to serious drama is too demanding on his English skills, so he stick with comedy that got less demand on his language skills. Pierce Brosnan said he when working on this movie, every morning, he would run lines with Jackie. There are a lot of Kong fu stars in Asia, they bail on a chance to get into Hollywood due to the language demand. For example, Jay Chou, he is one of the biggest action movie star in Taiwan, and he is actual former Special Forces/Iraq War Vet. But, he also bailed on Hollywood, after only making one Hollywood movie, the Green Beetle with Seth Rogan and Cameran Diaz, after that he turned down all further offer in Hollywood, because English is too demanding. Also, Jackie China's character in Rush Hour Chief Inspector Lee, is a spin off from the Hong Kong movie franchise, Police Story, where Jackie, has been playing the role of Chief Inspector Lee for the past 20 years, if you watch Police Story series, the movie is very serious, not a comedy.
You're right about Jackie Chan, but "Jay Chou" is just a famous pop singer, not the biggest action movie star in Taiwan, also definitely not former Special Forces/Iraq War Vet.
Yeah Jackie did a good job on that movie but Jayden Smith should have played the roll of the little girl cause that's just what he acted like.............a little girl! Lmfao!
i know everyone is sad to see jackie ageing, but its also motivating as he is still kiss ass, weather he feels it or not, in his movements he shows no signs of slowing down, get em jackie! lol
It's KICK *ss, not kiss *ss. It's whether, not weather. GO GET EM JACKIE! (I'll leave the rest alone heh) No, we don't want to see Jackie age but- time to get good sidekicks and put the humor in there to embrace the aging process not pretend it doesn't happen. I love the humor in Jackie Chan movies, and I can't wait to see this one.

JACKIE MOTHERFUCKING CHAN IS THE GREATEST ACTOR/STUNT PERSON/MARTIAL ARTIST OF ALL TIME!
love Jackie Chan, altho this movie seems to be pretty tense with less comedic or fun acrobatic action
I've watched the movie, the audience clapped at the end of the movie to show their appreciation. Great job Jackie Chan as always!

Welcome back Jackie, you will always be a LEGEND!
You are wrong! ...to use the word probably.
Yes Bytional, but I meant the really bad ones he made when he went over to Hollywood (The Spy Next Door, Forbidden Kingdom and Skiptrace etc...);)
I love his movies from the 80s and 90s though!
Mugsey B I thought forbidden kingdom was pretty good. not Chan's best but not one of his bad films either
*nods*
though i didn't mind forbidden kingdom, esp. for jackie as a drunken master, brought up vibes of.. well Drunken Master, super early Jackie Chan movie, dope af.
Jackie still got them moves man !!!
I must say this one was a surprisingly great movie. I wasn’t expecting much but I couldn’t stop watching it. Great job Jackie. 🤗🤗
I'm glad Hollywood has finally given Jackie a chance to take on a serious role. I love Jackie but I was tired of those light hearted comedy movies.
jackie serious role movie:Shinjiku Incident,1911,
What's wrong with Rush Hour? Those movies are amazing :o
Karate kid, his character was more serious in that film.
Uh, this isn't a Hollywood film.
Wasn't the guy from Happy Days in Karate Kid?
*I see Jackie, I click like*
Absolutely loved this!! Gritty as hell 💪👏 Jackie Chan being badass as always.
Way better than i expected.
Really worth seeing.
No-one will ever come close to Jackie Chan, probably one of the greatest actors that has ever walked this earth. I'm going to see this tonight! #jackiechanforever
Negative
"Here's how it works. I ask questions. You answer." [shocks the electrical cables]
That was my favorite line.
Affirmative
@JAMES JONES You have probably never watched Jackie Chan before
@JAMES JONES What actors do you like then.
He's done "serious" a few times.
heart of a dragon made me bawl
gotta download all his old movies now 😭
Yup. Loved watching his movies when I was a kid.
I'll definitely try re-watching some of them again. There's NEVER a dull moment when Chan is involved.
Already watched "Rumble in the Bronx", and "Operation Condor 2" is next on my list.
He's good in comedy & serious films. I wholeheartedly agree.
marklawson2004 I watched that movie it was dark man
marklawson2004 i like shinjuku incident. it was a decent movie.
marklawson2004 j
Such an underated film.
Just watched the whole movie. 5 ⭐️ tasting. Jackie Chan never disappoints! Great actor one of my favorites of all time! Great movie!
Jackie Chan has a certain set of skills, skills that have made him a nightmare for may people, skill he has acquired over a very long career, now if you give him the names that will be the end of it. He will not look for you, he will not pursue you, but if you dont he will look for them and....... he will kill them
Kyle Daniels 😂😂😂nice
Dude..shit is hillarious...
Kyle Daniels o
Kyle Daniels good luck
JACKIE CHANS IS MY SHIT!!! -explodes-
Finally Jackie comes out with a serious badass movie! This is going to be good!
deanplayer69 metalplayer it Is
Actually he made a lot of serious movie in Hong Kong, but in the US, he stick with Action comedy, mostly due to serious drama is too demanding on his English skills, so he stick with comedy that got less demand on his language skills.
There was karate kid, it was quite serious...
Yeah Jackie did a good job on that movie but Jayden Smith should have played the roll of the little girl cause that's just what he acted like.............a little girl! Lmfao!
just wacthed ! Nice movie , No point waking the dragon.
It’s sad seeing this beautiful humble person grow old gracefully he is truly a legend I love you Jackie ❤️ I hope he lives a really long time 🙏💙
"you have no idea who are you dealing with" ....... "YES I DO ... DO YOU ? "
Mother of all goosebumps
i know everyone is sad to see jackie ageing, but its also motivating as he is still kiss ass, weather he feels it or not, in his movements he shows no signs of slowing down, get em jackie! lol
damn, i ruined my own comment with my lazy spell checking skills lol. thanks for the correction, yes, he kicks ass!
lol well definitely anyone who fights Jackie Chan can kiss his ass goodbye!
lol, im so sorry, i cringe every time i read my comment.
One of the best fight scenes I've seen from Jackie in this movie. Truly a great movie from the old chap, look forward to more.
One of Jackie’s Best Movie love love love
