Plot:

It's incredible to see Jackie, even with these many movies under his belt and all the accolades he has, still thanking the crew and showing the gratefulness in him when they wrap. That just shows that no matter how famous or successful he gets, he still remembers to be humble and to treat others well. Hollywood hasn't gotten to him negatively, and that's SO refreshing to see these days. Kudos, Jackie. Way to be a role model for Hollywood but also as a regular human being. :)

Only Jackie Chan has the integrity to put his stunt coordinator expertise into a Hollywood film...he has no fear, and just gets better with time
This was one of the best action movies without CG greenies and exaggerated special effects. I love how professional Jackie is and how he makes his director and crew look like absolute genius picture makers. Pierce and the cast made the script so believable. what a precise and seamless picture 'The Foreigner' is. Even the camera and sound was at the top of their game. Kudos to everyone who made this movie. I watched it 5 or 6 times. Will watch it many times after.

I wonder if JC ever gets tired of doing action movies. He’s done hundreds of fight scenes, it must get tiresome after a while. Especially considering all the injuries he’s had.

This is different that his usual in the US; it’s a whole different Jackie Chan that we see. He stated in an interview he was glad it wasn’t comedy and that it was a more serious role for him. He wants to be known as an actor that can fight not a fighter that can act.

Nah; even Jackie will tell you the best people to teach you self defense are the ones that have the most real-life experiences; like bouncers.
Um...In the old days in Hong Kong, Jackie WAS employed by nightclubs as a "bouncer" (to make extra cash when movie work was thin)and involved in more than one confrontation. Also, one street brawl left Jakie with an opponents teeth embedded in his knuckles for three days before working their way out while at the same time worrying that he might have accidentally killed someone in the chaos. (He didn't...but the scare prompted him to find extra cash elsewhere as he had no desire to ever kill anyone even in self defense) So...Jackie is more than qualified to give self defense advise as any other marshal arts instructor.
The whole team should be proud to have worked with Jackie!

Well that and if they had an ACTUAL PROFESSIONAL “ARMORER” and not an “Affirmative Action” hire! If your an armorer and your hair is anything but natural........... YOU ARE FOCUSING ON THE WRONG SHIT! I want to see an armorer who’s hair is all kinds of fucked up shit they may look like that hadn’t showered in a day or 2. At least you know they are worried about the one job they have instead of themselves.

Just can't imagine what kind of discrimination Jackie Chan the legend had to go through in Hollywood in the 80s and 90s. That geezer in the black knitcap - is he director or photographer?? I can sense he's kinda condescending - emotionlessly telling Jackie and other Asian actors to do this and that. I strongly doubt that he'd act like that with RDJ, Tom Cruise, or even Chris Evans for crying out loud. Every Asian actors including JC seems tense around that old man. They don't look comfortable. JC is a very pleasant person who likes to joke around to relax, but not here! I haven't seen the film yet so can't judge. But I kinda get why it didn't do well in the box office. He's THE LEGEND, you moronic director! You should've let him free! He knows what he's doing!! Tsk.
The thing is that in China they have more freedom to do whatever they want. They like to improv, to spend time on getting great shots. Whereas here, everything is organized, scheduled, there's a deadline, everybody has their role and they can't collaborate or add anything that doesn't concern them. JC has his own way of doing his job and the American way frustrates him cause he cannot express his ideas. I'm not saying that Hollywood is awful but JC is out of his comfort zone in the West. And he has said this in several interviews.
