My dad always kept a power drill in the kitchen when I was growing up and he still does! He would always attach different ends and get up to all sorts of things like this. Showed him this video and it put an instant smile on his face, "It's me disguised as a French man on UA-cam!" 😂
yea those underpowered whiskers keep dying my makita is going on 5 years now
Respect for the Alton Brown reference.
Andrew Beaumont Agreed!!
Was literally looking for a video on how to spiralise without a spiralizer yesterday. Then I wake up to this today! Your videos are always on point and I'll definitely be trying this out!
Most avant-garde butter chef on the deal. #SpreadAlexIdeas
I wish. Good man.
My husband got me a new cordless drill for Christmas! Happy dance!!
Was it a hint I wonder?
I tried this for dinner tonight! Kind of. I didn't have the right kind of drill bit, and I was doing zucchinis, so I wound up just using the peeler to make ribbons by shaving the squash lengthwise. Cooked it up in some butter, garlic, and red pepper flakes, with marinara and Parmesan on top. Great recipe inspiration when cooking for someone on a keto diet!
Probably never going to make them this way, but that's the most creative thing I've seen in a while. Love this channel!
Lol this is brilliant!
Thanks buddy
Haste's Kitchen OMG! He hypnotized to subscribe again! Such brilliant touches to his video making :) And WOW his subscriptions have exploded since I first subscribed and rightly so!!
Haste's Kitchen even better just be careful the drill bit and the drill itself or actually clean like I wouldn't use the same drill as I'm using anywhere else like a kitchen designated drill and probably one that's not a battery pack just for admission purposes
This is BRILLIANT! I was JUST thinking about going out to buy a spiralizer... didn't want to. So I decided to do a quick search. NOW I DON'T HAVE TO!
I'm going to try using my Rotozip it will be lighter and easy to handle.
Merci beaucoup!!!! C'est merveilleux!
What a great hack. Love that you also add in your mistakes and give helpful ideas to avoid them. Fun to watch your videos as they are not only informative but amusing.
Spiralized apples! Use in pie!!
oh my god you're right
Alex, you are a genius.
Lol it’s beyond brilliant. I love your inventiveness. Good use for my drill.
My husband is on a eat healthy kick, he will love this new video for veggie noodles!! Thanks Alex
Probably the most fun UA-cam Channel out there in case you eat food. Full of humor, well edited and plenty of OMG moments plus a dude with a great accent. What else one can ask for? Ramen, maybe. I have recovered my long lost love for Ramen thanks to Alex.
This is by far the most awesome, useful cooking video I have ever encountered.
Why haven't I ever thought of doing this?! Thank you! I was using a vegetable peeler but never thought to use a drill and a vegetable peeler to make longer noodles! This is brilliant.
I have to admit this guy is so freaking smart xD
This is the best video to have found from you Alex, it prompted me to want to discover more, plan to use the hashtag somewhere when I post my next meal using this technique, and will jump on finding another series to watch. Brilliant!
Love this channel!! And this video is changing my life!!! I want to do more vegetables and this is so doable and easy to incorporate in meals. Total Fan!!!!
You're like a mad scientist when it comes to food&cooking!
I like the perfection shots in the front with the reality check and safety at end
You are literally my new favorite person haha. Your charisma is wonderfully contagious and your tips were super helpful and hilarious! 🤗 keep up the great work friend!!
Tryed this and it worked fine. ended improving it by adding a round piece of wood, 2mm wider then the drill head, to the drill to grab the cutter in the end. thanks for a great video
This is a creative use of bringing hardware into kitchen🤓🤩👍
This is amazing! I was thinking of buying a spiralizer, but now I might just make one! thanks Alex!
LOL. I won't be doing this at home but enjoyed that you put your life on the line for me and UA-cam entertainment.
You are amazing!!! I absolutely love ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ watching you!!! All of your videos are fabulous!!!!
omg where has this vid been in my whole life when i was struggling with and cursing that danm spiralizer this is AMAZING!!!
Dude, you don't beat around the Bushes, this is Cool! Thanks
This song is sooo good! And another really nice video, Alex! Thank you!
brilliant idea and what a great sense of humour!!!
Love tips like these! I need to have a power drill at home anyway and I have no space for bulky one purpose stuff, so getting inventive is always welcome.
Brilliantly beautiful mind you have, forget those uni-taskers they are not allowed in my kitchen. THANKS so much for sharing.
I've been binging your channel for a few days now since I discovered it. I liked you so much already, but then you dropped a The Wire reference and dude you cannot win any more cool points than that.
Ill try to make potato noodle fries.
Fyeah! that is brilliant.
I find all of your videos useful, but this one especially. For about 90 minutes of prep time, I could create tons of delicious, cheap, quick, and healthy dishes for a month.
crazy French guy! I love you with your crazy ideas.
this is simply genious! I do need a driller anyways for home, and now for the kitchen too!
OMG I love this !!!! I absolutely LOVE watching ur videos !!!!!!
Oh, man! I love your channel so much... Your amazing and creative 👏👏👏👏
Absolutely brilliant. Love it
Nice one Alex! Making my partner feel better about me buying power tools, one multi-tasker at a time
Love your work, keep it up.
Salut!
Woooow man you are genius , love your experiments
Wonderful vlog video. Brilliant! Never would have thought of that!
omg I love you. thank you for your great work.
Absolutely brilliant!
Lol I asked for video on how to make easy vegetable noodles and found this one, awesome ideas! Gonna try it! Thanks!!!
That was so cool. I will try this. Thanks for the video.
Ayyyy, say no to uni-taskers
Another option would be to just score it with a fork, then peel with your vegetable peeler. No new tools required.
I like the fork spirit but I ask to see it first in action.
Rice cookers are unitaskers. Mostly cook my rice on the stove.
Nah, you can steam bao, dumplings, dried Chinese sausages and vegetable in rice cooker, you can also make really good porridge in them
You can also use a rice cooker for cakes and pancakes. :3
OMG I was looking for this. Great!!!
I love it!! Another reason to protect my cordless drill driver. (I keep it in the clothes closet behind all my girlie shirts, otherwise HE-WHO-SHALL-REMAIN-NAMELESS may take it outside where it will hitch up with the one that got left outside on his last project!) I love my drill driver!
justachick lit!!
OMG! You must be married to my brother! We live on the same property and will grab any tool lying around bc, naturally, its his, bc hes a man. I keep mine in my closet too for that reason! Lol
This is great! Love your style and great info!
That is a pretty cool way to make veggie noodles. A great acknowledgement to Alton Brown.
YES! I was thinking they were overpriced and wasn't sure on how else to make them. Thank you Alex!
The new school Alton Brown. I was thinking this the other day and now I find that you've already mentioned it a year ago ahaha tis why you are one of the GOATs!
I am genuinly impressed
absolutely genius! I have a mandoline and fortunately all my fingers intact but I am getting a new drill bit to keep in the drawer just for small jobs: I think I have 3 cordless drills. onbe of which I can clean and dedicate for the purpose. Vive le France!
ok, you win the internet for that smart idea. Thank you!
This was enjoyable to watch!!! Thanks for the tip😉
2 thin metal or wood rods. Position them as railroad but wider. Put cylinder of the vegetable you want to slice between them so that it can roll along the rods. Use very sharp knife (japanese yanagiba pref). Slide the knife over rods with one hand, rolling the vegie with the other so that the knife cut into the vegies peeling it at the 'rail rods' thickness. Vegies roll on table surface, knife slide over the rods making the unifying thickness. Chop flat peels to the size after folding it. Very easy, very fast, very cool and proffessional, very hard to explain without showing XD
Love it!!! You're great!
"What could possibly go wrong?" Alex! You are great, just great! Love all of your videos! Bye bye👋🏻 Salut! Ciaocito 👊🏻
Omg!!! Great idea!! Thanks for the info!! Great video!!!
Irony Alert: All of the sponsored ads on this video are for store bought spiralizers ... not drills and peelers. LOL.
+Heathen Hearth haha.
what ads?
How could anyone *not* like your videos? they are informative and funny...what more could you want??!
Brilliant, especially the tips. Thanks.
Very clever idea. I agree with you about the spiralizer being a uni-tasker , waste of money and space. I will try your idea.
I was just telling my roommate that you're my new Alton Brown-esque food hero, and then you throw in a reference to him. You've got a fan for all time, now.
This is awesome. Thank you Alex.
How creative n Resourceful,you are!
Fantastic. I just made my first zucchini pasta today using a spiralizer. It worked (simple type) and was wondering how to make from other vegetables that would not fit into my spiralizer and discovered you. I think my whole diet is going to change now making various vegetable pastas. Thanks..
I loved your idea, thanks !!
Brilliant! you're my hero!!!
I love the silliness!
"To fast you will probably die" Ahhh.. Said so casually.
I love your videos! Keep them coming please!!!
I love this idea and i love this guy
Love your vids Alex, fun with cookin!
Love it! You cover it all.
way to go Alex!! I JUST bought a spiralizer and got it in the mail yesterday! :p
I love this! ❤️💕
GENIUS!
No way I´m going to try this but it was good fun to watch :-)
Dude, you are just GENIUS :D
I love this idea
Oh my goodness, THANK YOU!! I use my handheld Vegetti spiralizer all the time, because I'm a type 1 diabetic and replaced all pasta with zucchini years ago. It is a unitasker, but it is small and I use it often, so I felt it justified as a purchase. But it is not even that good at making noodles; it always wastes part of the squash, and the handguard piece is utterly useless. Your noodles look superior, and they don't have to be made to fit into the small handheld device. In summary, this is amazing, thank you Alex.
This is brilliant!
started a chefs club at my school, can not wait to make a dish using this!
absolutely love this dude! def having a go at this boi
This.... is.... GENIUS
that is so satisfying to watch
I LOVE YOUR video! LOL! I love the bloopers and what can go wrong??? Absolutely nothing lol!
Brilliant, entertaining and well played.
what a brilliant idea...😁👍👌✌️
You're a kitchen genius!
😲 fantastic!!!
Well i dont own a drill so its probably cheaper to buy a spiralizer if i want something like this
I bought the unitasker he showed in this video and the suction cups on the bottom do not stick to the counter, so when you are trying to spiralize, you have to put pressure as you turn the handle so it keeps the food moving, plus hold it down. It is very difficult to use and I rarely use it because of that. I think I will try the drill trick.
Dacr0n You can just just the pealer and get Tagiatelle (I dont think I spelled it right). If you want spagetti, get a pealer, who can do this :) They aren't as expensive and do a great job!
Buy a drill anyway, it can be usefull in many situations (cooking, home improvement, annoying neighbour, etc.). And no need to buy a very expensive one, there is good drills about $60, it's worthi it (sorry for my english).
MiseEnAbysse I read that as in useful solution to an annoying neighbour... which depending on how you use the drill could also be quite effective
I subscribe this comment. Easy to buy the unitasker (but a small one) but your way is funnier. Hey, cool video. thanks
I really loved this, Alex.
And yeah thanks for mentioning me in your 5-courses NYC dinner vid. I had quite a lil bit inspiration on what you might cook. :P see ya
This is an awesome idea 💡Thanks for sharing 👍👍👍
This is amazing omg
