I've never thought that zucchini can taste that good! It's just the same as regular pasta, but low calorie
Thank you!
Nice....will try
I have a spiralizer attachment for my KitchenAid. Super fast and efficient. I've only used zoodles in soups so I'm happy to see this video to make them more appealing in other recipes. ❤️
Look up Zoodle Primavera recipe...
Looks delicious😍
Thank you - I live overseas and skinny pasta is very expensive.. And I never liked the zuchini noodles BUT now I know why - cannot wait to try this
Very good video!
Excellent ❤
If you don't cut off the non blossom end of the zucchini you can cut down further and just throw away that end instead of cutting it off and throwing it out beforehand. If that makes any sense. I also cut off the noodles into decent lengths as I spiralize them so no need to go into the bowl and do it later.
Excellent video. I am excited to try these methods to keep my Zoodels from being soggy! Thank you!!!
You're so welcome, enjoy!
Amazing
YUMMYYY !! I love your video ❤❤❤
Thank you so much! 🤗
Great video, thank you so much. I would never have thought of using the oven.
Thank you, Whitney! Hope you'll give it a try!
Same here. So glad You Tube recommended this video to me. I was just about to destroy my Zoodles on the stove.
Delicious
Thank you. I like zucchini but had no idea how to cook the noodles. I think I may try to make my actual noodles using a large hole cheese grater. Hope that works. Trying to lower my triglycerides and I feel like this is going to be a nice swap for pasta. Again, thank you! ❤
they are best uncooked.
Thank you for this video. As an overweight person I've been looking for substitutes for pasta and rice.
Hope you like these!
Great video
Thank you for watching! :)
Good idea! w salt 2 denatured zucchini.
I like the salt and pepper grinders you used in the zucchini recipe demonstration (which is very helpful because I always got watery zucchini before). What brand are the pepper/salt grinders please? Thank you for all your recipes. I have a favourite zucchini/shrimp recipe but I always ended up with too much water. Now, however, I am going to make sure I use your technique.
I use these grinders, love that they are glass: amzn.to/3RX1XN2 Thanks for the reminder, just added those to the description. Glad this was helpful!
Have you ever tried making it with bread crumbs? I think it’ll add a little texture to it. If so, what are the steps and the best type of bread crumbs to use?
Another method is to use a grater and do long strokes. You'll get shorter noodles but they still work.
Thanks for sharing! I haven't tried that way yet!
@@WholesomeYum I couldn't find my spiralizer once and I did it in a pinch. Also I used your method today and it worked perfectly! No water at all. Thank you!
@@Aishya476 very creative! And glad you liked the cooking method, which one did you use?

That's a great idea to get the liquid out
Can they be frozen to eat later? Should that be after they are cooked?
What if I wanted to freeze some of them ? Can you freeze them before or after they are cooked ? Do they hold up well for freezing, or is that not recommended ?
Hi Angie, Avoid freezing raw zoodles. You can freeze cooked ones, but they do come out more mushy and watery after thawing.
No do not freeze them, it is like freezing cucumber
Like the Julian style
Cut the whole zucchini into smaller pieces before spiralizing to make the noodles shorter.
You can do it that way too! I just find it faster to trim afterwards.
Suggestion for Wholesome Yum:
You should upgrade your audio recording system (or studio set-up) to eliminate all that echo. It really detracts from the presentation.
Thanks for the feedback, Ryan. We actually had an issue with the main mic on a couple of videos so had to use the backup mic for the audio. It should sound better on my newer videos. :)
What is the name of your spiraling and where did you buy it? Thanks
Hi Betty, It's this one: amzn.to/3cpKL26
Paderno spiralizer
It's suppose to be good?
Cut the zucchini in half before putting in the spiralizer, that way the noodles will be shorter.
Thank you for the tip, I'll have to try that!
I steam my zucchini noodles in the microwave for about 2-3 minutes in a microwave vegetable steamer with 1 cup of water. They come out al dented then I add my sauce & they are not watery
Thank you! I was thinking of trying this for a combo of zucchini, apple and carrots that I spiralize. Will make a curry sauce for them and add some shrimp.
where is the link for the spiralizer, please?
Hi Polly, It's this one: amzn.to/3cpKL26
I cut my zoodles as they come off the spiralizer.
Great idea, I need to try that way!
Good tip.
So Sea salt will help the excess moisture come out of the noodles before you cook them?
Sure diffusion process
Just pull them off as they come out,no cutting required 😊
Can I use regular salt
Yep!
Cut the zucchini in half first. No need to trim later.
I salt mine and then put them on a rack in my food dehydrator before tossing them in butter on high heat on the stove.
Yes, trim half way.
Can zoodles be blanched or boiled like pasta?
Yes but will be very very mushy
Thanks! May Jesus continue to bless you and your family
If only he was real
@@str1fe192 Was that really necessary?
Purtroppo mancano i sottotitoli in italiano
So all the salt stays on the zoodles after draining them? What if you're watching sodium levels? Is there another way?
You can rinse them after if you'd like and just dry very well.
I'm exploring all the keto UA-cam channels and I think I like yours can I you know I'm asking how much weight have you lost are you doing keto

The julienne method looks so dangerous 😬. I want to try the spiralizer though
Haha, it's definitely not my preferred method! I use the spiralizer but wanted to show different options.
you have a freezer or fridge to put that zuchini leftovers in...
The salt just makes them more watery. No salt no water. Leave out the salt and cook them. Add the salt afterwards
Hi Dara, You can see in the video that they did not turn out watery at all. In my experience, adding salt afterwards makes them get watery very quickly before you even finish eating them. But if you have a method you like that works for you, great!
Cut the zucchini in half before spiraling to make them shorter.
Is that a cucumber? Or a small pumpkin?
No, it's similar in appearances; however, it''s in the squash family and a bit firmer with a different taste.
THEY'RE "PRONGS"
8 minutes in the oven....then fry for 90 seconds.
Thia is not diet friendly tho this is a lot of butter omg
Oops! Wrong spelling!😊
Are you originally from eastern Europe?
Yes, I am.
@@WholesomeYum I thought I detected a slight accent, although your English is perfect!
2:05 it is a waste of the food, but I like your honesty.
If you cut your zucchini in half first then you won’t have to cut them afterwards
I cut the zuchinni with my teeth
Wow! I didn't know how 2 make these & used knife, no spyler. Then boiled them. Awful!
You say healthy, do you use processed oils, wheaT PRODUCTS OR MILK PRODUCTS????????
Why is milk bad
I guess it would be acceptable but if you add dairy then you ruined everything healthy l that was expecting for the sauce
You can use any sauce you like with these.
You should stop throwing stuff out. Wasteful
What can be the shelf life if we deep freeze it ?
I don't recommend freezing zucchini noodles, the texture isn't great afterward. If you still want to do it, there is info on freezing in the post here: www.wholesomeyum.com/how-to-make-zucchini-noodles/
